I have deployed our application in Windows 2003 Server containing IIS 6. Application is developed in ASP.Net 2010, Silverlight 4. Can any suggest the right steps to  deploy the application.

The Current System :

an aspx page (asp version 1.0) hosted on the IIS server (6.1). The front end is a vb form that connects to a sql 2000 database.

Users’ credentials authorized using NTLM security.

Access from an external n/w - a reverse proxy configured with an ISA server 2006 to authenticate credentials.

Domain Controller – Windows Server 2008 R2 x64

The issue when accessed from external n/w :

everytime an entry from a drop-down is selected from an Ajax enabled control, instead of the fields populating, the page gets refreshed and the content of the box are cleared.

Also, clicking on other items that normally hyperlink to other pages, results in nothing happening.

Upon investigation, we realized that :

Everytime it fails, a string – “&AuthResend” followed by an alpha numeric string is attached, which attempts to authenticate the user’s credentials everytime a request is made to the server.

ISA error logs yielded the following error msg :

“12210 Internet Server API ( ISAPI ) has finished handling the request. Contact your system administrator. “

This behavior is inconsistent except when accessed from Google Chrome, where it fails each time.

We have applied all the recommended hot fixes from Microsoft’s KB pages. Has anyone else faced such behavior? Any help will be appreciated.

How Can i solve this problem.

Our application is running asp.net 2.0 and has ported with success except for users on Windows 2000 or Xp pre sp 2.

These users have IE 6 sp1 as the browser. These users are able to use our application if they connect to the older IIS5 server but "time out" when connecting to the IIS 6 server. Users with Ie6 sp2 or higher work regardless of the server they connect to. If I disable user http 1.1 in the older client browser or disable http keep-alives on the server the application works fine in Ie6 Sp1. After sniffing the traffic from the client side, I see that when they connect to the IIS 5 server after the post message the server sends an http 1.1 100 continue message and the call completes with success. If they connect to the IIS6 server they never receive an http 1.1 100 message so even though the IIS 6 server handles the request with success (200 message in the IIS log) the client browser appears to not know the server sent a complete response and times out.

Is there some other method to resolving this aside from disabling keep-alives on my server or touching what could be 100's if not thousands of clients machines not under my direct control?

Running in IIS 5 isolation mode does not resolve this, nor does the "useunsafeheaderparsing" element.

Using pages.buffer = false does address the issue but breaks other pieces of our application. Any thoughts or assistance are appreciated.

I have changed the Sharepoint port 80 to port 8888.This was primarily done since my other site was aslo using port 80. Now my both the sites are working ok on web server machine.

For example the web server computer name is win2008

then http://win2008:8888/pwa works ok on the web server machine but when trying through my client browser i get "page not found".

Note : Web Server Os : Windows Server 2008

Client Browser Machine : Windows Vista

Any help would be appreciated.

Could I get some more detail on the steps for doing that.  On the cases I read people seemed to have difficulty getting the certificate moved, and then things “magically worked”.  I don’t want to have to depend on something “magically” working.  Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I run a Windows Essential Business Server 2008, clean and functional install. My domain www.domain1.de, OWA and Sharepoint can be accessed from the web at remote.domain1.de without any problems. I went through all installation and post-installation-steps without any errors.

I now need to publish a second site www.domain2.de and host the website-files on my management server. The domain is linked to domain2.dyndns.org, I have customized IIS with according host headers and applied a corresponding rule at TMG.

Problem is, when my customers try to reach www.domain2.de, they get the "security certificate problem" and most won't bother to klick "display blocked content".

I understand I do need a SAN certificate stating all domains I host, but I am affraid to break my existing setup (especially OWA) since I am completely new to the certificate issue. 

Can someone please outline in "understandable" words

- how I publish such a SAN certificate (i.e. do I use IIS on the management server, or the certificate MMC, or do I need to publish the SAN certificate from the Exchange console on the messaging server, .....).

- if I need to get a SAN certificate from a 3rd-party authority, and how I can use the above generated information to go about; or if I can use a self-signed certificate instead...

- how I import/publish the certificate in my TMG-server?

how to use search functionality in infopath form for Active directory users when using k2.

Please assist me in the following problem in the infopath form, i am using k2 - i dont have qdabra's ADservice.

I got a text box where i will be typing the 3 to 4 charaters and click search button to get the search results.

I am struggling with the rule.

Please tell me what rule i need to keep to working my button rule to work.

Please assist urgently. Thanks in advance.

The problem is

The Infopath form is working perfectly fetching all the users in the active directory.

I got like this

 Text box

Search button

Dropdown with all active directory users.

 In the button i kept the following action in the rule..

1. Set a field's value as

field = datasource is AD_User_Get_Users(Secondary)

Queryfileds>InputProperties>Name

Field = Name

Value = concat(*,TextBoxField,*)

amd also added a query

Ad_User_Get_Users

so i added 2 actions

one is field value and second is query.

but when on running, i can see users in the dropdown on loading form, when type something in text box and click search , i see the dropdown users vanish. so it is not searching by the textbox characters.

Please assist me in configuring correct rule i need to use to get search results in the dropdown.

We are experiencing a very strange problem. I have a webapplication running on WSS3.0 on a 2003 Standard VM. It uses integrated windows authentication. I can access the application perfectly from any remote machine on the network. However, if I remote desktop into the VM itself and try to access it through the IE (7.0) on the machine I get a 401.1 Unauthorized access denied error.

Any ideas?
