I'm running a custom WinCE 6.0 OS with ActiveSync over USB Serial (no RNDIS). The device connects fine to the development PC (XP Pro SP3 with AcriveSync 4.5), but I'm unable to browse the Internet from the CE device via the internet connection of the PC. Note that from a WM5 smartphone connected via USB everything works fine.

I've already tried several tweaks (i.e., the AllowLSP registry key) with no success. At this point I suspect that either [a] some component is missing from the catalog or [b] Windows CE does not actually support DTPT (while WMx does).

Can anyone confirm one of the above possibilities - or give an advice?

The other annoying thing is that, although the CE device is provided with an UMTS modem which connects correctly, if the ActiveSync connection is up, then the browser requests are routed anyway through the ActiveSync link... This prevents debugging a web client application from Visual Studio! Any way to force the binding of the browser to a specific connection?

I want to import transactions for a pay period into GP Canadian Payroll using flat files (ie by using the import/export option in Canadian Payroll).  Basically I just want to feed the gross to GP and have it return the net amount (which I would then export out). 

Has anyone ever done this, or used the import/export tool for Canadian Payroll  Just wondering what the experience has been and if there are any tips/info I should know before attempting this?

We have restarted the services and rebooted the server and still no luck. We ask users to clear their cache.

We are so frustrated -- does anyone have any suggestions? Do we need to remove the cache files from the user's computers?

I type in IE mygui: or mygui://arg1. I get Application Not Found error dialog. Upon clicking on the Dialog, get another error "Internet Explorer cannot open this helper application for mygui:".  I could not figure out what is wrong. But it works for firefox.

I just recently deployed a GPO to set the Proxy server address with a specific port for the Internet Explorer. It applied to all clients running the IE 6 or 7 but did not apply to some clients running the IE 8. From the ouput of the GPresult, I confirmed that this GPO has been pushed out to all parties.

Any thoughts and assistances will be greatly appreciated. By the way, I am running Windows 2003 STD with SP2 & clients are running XP with SP3.

First :
I send a script by a SCOM rule, and inside this script, an event is sent to the Windows log event (log to "operation

manager"). The script is right.
Then, I get the event by a monitoring that send an alert. But in practice, it seems unreliable. Yet everything seems set

correctly. The alert should occur more often. And sometimes, nothing is happening.
I do not see why this does not permanently run.

Second issue :
I want to sent alerts (via mail)  to the groups.
However, the suscription group does cannot include the read-only operators group that I selected for it (the parameter does

not stay activated). I can only select objects (and classes) for theses groups.

my pc specificatiuons are...

i hav got nfs undercover....when ever i m trying to run over my pc....

the game does run...but it runs a bit slow....n images r not very clear..as it should be....

i think it could be some setting issue....like changing resolution...or ...etc....

We are migrating our app from windows (32 bit ) to vista (64 bit). Currently our app uses crystal report version 7 - print engine api to view /print the report files.

We have downloaded a trial version of crystal report 2008 so that it works with vista 64 bit. However while printing the report files I face the following error -

     int err = PEGetErrorCode(nJob);

I get err=1021 but I am not sure what this means.

Secondly, I notice that I can set the print options ( i dont get an error) for one of the report files while I get the same for rest of them.

Can somebody please help me in pointing out what is going wrong?

I'm trying to convert my CDialog based application (Already developed) to SDI framework based application.

please excuse the somewhat stupid question. im planning on writing a batch script, but dont know if or how what im planning on doing is possible.

the batch file is supposed to ping a server. as soon as the server times out (due to reboot), it is supposed to do something else. my problem is, i dont know if i can compare the pings response. if anyone has any clues how to do this, please let me know.. thank you :)

I need one solution. My client is using third party web application. On login page he needs to select eSignature file path & enter password everytime. Now he wants auto-login in third party login page. Is there any IE6's API or another way, through we can auto-login this page and client will re-direct on next page with successfull login.

See, we can hard-code signature file path & password in login-page. Let me know this is feasible or not? If yes than how?

Note: We have no source-code of that third party application.

Please advice.
