<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Nos deja Miguel Delibes, uno de los grandes de las letras castellanas y nos deja entre grandes contradicciones. Para nosotros la muerte de Delibes está entre pena (la que deja en todos nosotros) y gloria (la que nos dio su pluma), pero Miguel no sentía pena de dejar este mundo, hace ya tiempo que manifestaba que para él la vida carecía de alicientes, que no era más que un mero caminar hasta el fin dado. Miguel no quería gloria, sencillo como él era nunca buscó reconocimientos ni premios, se dice ahora que a Miguel le faltó el Nobel pero para tener tal preciado premio hay que cumplir dos requisitos: ganárselo y desearlo. Miguel cumplió sobradamente con el primero, pero siempre denotó dejadez ante el segundo; a don Miguel no le faltó Nobel, simplemente no fue a recogerlo. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Un hombre del pueblo, sencillo y querido, eso fue en su mayoría Delibes y encima escribía bien. Con esto quiero decir que poseía ese genio que al igual que otros magníficos escritores lo han tenido a lo largo de la Historia, pero además de eso era querido, era muy querido tanto en su Valladolid como en el resto de España y esto se debe a su carácter afable, humilde y castellano. Hombre arraigado y orgulloso de su tierra, regaló a Valladolid su presencia hasta su último suspiro. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">La de Miguel podría considerarse una <i>crónica de una muerte anunciada</i>, la avanzada edad y la enfermedad que padecía hace tiempo que avanzaban el desenlace, pero además el repitió reiteradas veces su indiferencia ante la vida, su falta de miedo ante la muerte. Y desde un punto de vista literario confesó que <i>el escritor había muerto antes que el hombre</i>. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Valladolid despidió a su escritor como se merecía, por todo lo alto, miles de pucelanos desfilaron ante él para darle su último adiós, llenaron las calles acompañando su comitiva hacía la catedral entre un sonoro y continuo aplauso. El escritor había demostrado en vida su amor y su pasión por la ciudad y ahora esta se lo devolvía. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Los homenajes se suceden y sucederán estos días para recordarle, homenajes que no le faltaron en vida. Valladolid (y España) ha perdido un gran escritor, pero además todos hemos perdido una mejor persona. </div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
