WhatsApp Prepare the Recognize Spam Feature

2019-03-25T12:36:00.000+07:00

WhatsApp is reportedly preparing a feature that if activated will be able to detect information about chain messages, helping users recognize whether the message is classified as spam or fake news. The WABetaInfo page writes in the messaging application version 2.19.80, WhatsApp includes a feature called "Forwarding Info" in the Message Info section.

If the user clicks on the message they sent to another user, he will be able to see whether the message has arrived and has been read by the other person, the feature that already exists today. If the user gets a chain message and wants to know how many times the message has been sent, resend the message then click and hold the message we sent to open Message Info.

This new feature will show how many times the message has been sent, according to WABetaInfo. This feature is expected to be available in beta in the near future.

A message is classified as "often re-sent" if sent more than four times. WhatsApp in the latest version will give a slightly bigger bubble to the messages that are often forwarded.

Through this feature, WhatsApp invites its users to understand that a very popular message, which is too often forwarded, should be suspected of containing information that is not necessarily true. Unfortunately, the Forwarding Info feature is not visible if the message is classified as "frequently re-sent" or has been forwarded more than five times, according to the page.

Android Q Has an iPhone-like Navigation System

2019-03-21T07:31:00.001+07:00

On Android 9 Pie, Google introduced a new navigation system that offers improvements in terms of gestures. In the latest version of Android, this operating system will look more like what is on an iPhone.

Reported by Slashgear, Monday (03/18/2019), adoption of gesture-based navigation on Android can be accepted by the user or vice versa. On the one hand, he discards one of the Android features and requires a little thumb training to use.

However, the biggest attraction is making it easier to operate with only one hand. It can also form habits if done correctly.

In the Android Pie version, some users might find a problem. Some find that the movement itself is difficult to use while others find the animation to be rude and uninteresting.

Some hidden developer options on Android Q suggest that Google handle this case. Activating those options will make Android Q behave almost like an iPhone.

To be more clear about how the gestures system in the latest Android version, users can see it through the video display. The animation has also been adjusted to make it smoother and smoother.

Android Q Have a New Sound Effect when Phone Calls End

2019-03-18T13:31:00.000+07:00

Google continues to update the Android mobile operating system to the latest version. At present, the company is preparing for the emergence of Android Q which presents a number of new features.

Reported by Androidpolice, Sunday (03/17/2019), Android Q has many major changes, but also has small changes that require time to be noticed.

Even though telephone calls currently seem to be rarely used, Google seems to keep paying attention to the service through embedding new sound effects at the end of the conversation on Android Q.

With this update, there will be no more loud beeps when you end the telephone call. Later, the user will be able to hear a more subtle two-tone sound effect.

Most manufacturers will probably continue to use their own sound effects, so this change is mainly for Pixel owners.

For those of you who have to take calls every day, this might be a better improvement.

4 Ways to Protect Your Fingerprint Sensor to be More Durable

2019-03-15T07:18:00.001+07:00

Smartphone technology is currently growing. In the past, you can only enter a PIN or pattern code to unlock a locked cellphone. Now users can easily do this with a fingerprint that makes the phone automatically open.

Even now the fingerprint is not only behind the cellphone, there is something on the side and on the screen. This time Okezone will also provide some tips for you to be able to treat the fingerprint, as reported by various sources.

1. Don't use it when wet hands

When you first register your finger make sure your hand is not wet, and so on every time you operate the fingerprint. As is known, electronic goods are vulnerable to damage when exposed to water.

Moreover, when it is raining, it is recommended not to use a cellphone because it will affect the fingerprint. This can make the fingerprint lose its function or consultation.

2. Don't Register Many Fingers

As is known, fingerprint in mobile phones can support multiple fingers to access cellphones. However, this is not recommended.

This is because, every fingerprint you register will be stored in the cellphone's memory. This will make the cellphone hold data that is not important.

3. Don't be fun

In addition to registering with a finger, the fingerprint also allows you to scan other parts of the body that are covered with skin such as the ears, nose and lips. However, it is not recommended to do this, because the fingerprint can malfunction.

4. Don't get hit by sharp objects

The last tip is not to scratch sharp objects into the fingerprint. This is because it can make the fingerprint scanner not work and does not recognize your finger.

Get ready, Whatsapp will Block the Modified Version Application

2019-03-14T07:29:00.002+07:00

The electronic messaging application for smartphones, WhatsApp, starts to show its fangs on applications like Whatsapp Plus and GB Whatsapp. The party account that uses the third-party version of Whatsapp is likely to be temporarily blocked by the Facebook-developed platform.

In the FAQ, Whatsapp says that every party using a modified version of the application will receive a notification that their account has been temporarily banned. The reason is actually simple. WhatsApp warns of fake applications not guaranteed security.

"Whatsapp does not support these third-party applications because we cannot validate their security practices," the company statement said, quoted by the Cnet page on Tuesday.

It is not clear when Whatsapp began to ban the use of the modified application. However, Twitter users and Reddit have started talking about this since last week. Until now, Whatsapp has not immediately responded to a comment request.

Reportedly, fake application accounts are not permanently blocked. Users only need to switch back to the main Whatsapp application. If you are still using third-party applications, make sure to back up the chat first if anyone wants to be saved or documented before the application is blocked by Whatsapp.

Whatsapp Messenger is a cross platform messaging application that allows users to exchange messages without SMS fees because Whatsapp Messenger uses the same internet data package for email, internet browsing and more.

The Whatsapp Messenger application uses a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi internet connection for data communication. By using Whatsapp, users can chat online, share files, and exchange photos and videos.

Whatsapp can only work for fellow users who have the Whatsapp application. The application can be downloaded for free and uses cell phone numbers.

The Android Q Beta program involves more mobile phones

2019-03-13T09:48:00.000+07:00

The Android Q Beta program will reportedly involve more cellphones than before. In the past, developer previews for the next Android release were restricted to Google Nexus devices.

Reported by Slashgear, Monday (03/11/2019), although there is an exclusive period for Pixel and Nexus phones that are still being supported, Google has started the beta testing phase for seven OEMs last year. This year, it seems that more cellphones will accept the program.

With the number of cellphones for the Android Q Beta program, it is expected to reduce the waiting time for OEMs to launch Android Q to cellphones by the end of this year.

That is a step that is unprecedented and definitely welcomed by Google. At Google I / O last year, not only announced the start of Android P beta testing, it also announced that seven OEM cellphones officially got it too. The list includes Essential PH-1, Nokia 7 Plus, OnePlus 6, OPPO R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Vivo X21, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

This year, Android developer Illiyan Malchev hinted that there would be more companies joining Android Q Beta. Malchev can't reveal details, but Google I / O is only a few months away, so users shouldn't wait too long.

Apple Will Launch AR Devices in 2020

2019-03-12T07:27:00.000+07:00

Apple is rumored to be launching its first augmented reality (AR) glasses in 2020. According to product analysts, Apple's Ming Cho Kuo AR glasses have indeed been reported several times.

Quoted from the Ilounge page, Sunday (03/10/2019) Kuo predicts if the device will be mass produced after September 2018, it will be no more than mid next year.

AR glasses are thought to be iPhone accessories, not stand alone devices. In other words, it will function as a display, handle computing, network, and position of the iPhone. AR glasses may be connected wirelessly to the iPhone.

At present there is no fast-growing market for AR or VR glasses that are compatible with the iPhone. So this plan seems to allow Apple to dominate the market.

Dash Text Integrate WhatsApp and Telegram

2019-03-11T14:04:00.003+07:00

Dash Text, a popular service that allows individuals to send crypto currencies via SMS text, is now testing the WhatsApp application that is integrated with Telegram. Venezuela-based Dash Text invites the audience who want to participate in the trial to join.

The Telegram and WhatsApp integration application tested by Dash Text is still in beta. The finished version will be released in several countries before it is available worldwide.

Telegram is the second most popular messaging platform in Venezuela after WhatsApp. They now receive WhatsApp's Telegram integration beta application. However, the participants are still limited because the new application is available in Spanish.

Lorenzo Rey from Dash Text, in the Dash News report acknowledged that many individuals, especially outside Venezuela, were using alternative platforms. WhatsApp Telegram integration allows customers to send money to each other, even if their cellphone's memory is not supported by cellular wallet simple payment verification (SPV).

"Yes, the main demand is sending money to Venezuela, which is why we are thinking of integrating popular chat applications," Rey said.

Last year, Venezuela made international news because of its extreme hyperinflation and now made more news to close its borders with Brazil and possibly do the same with Colombia.

The Dash Text team has acknowledged how Dash can help individuals get out of bad economic and political conditions and still work amid chaos to provide products and services that help individuals achieve financial and monetary freedom.

Dash Text's value proposition has been validated by other companies in the same sector, such as CoinText, which allows individuals in several countries to send Dash or Bitcoin Cash via SMS text at a cost of close to zero.

5 Tips to Reduce Light Pollution, Anything

2019-03-08T07:52:00.000+07:00

Photopollution or light pollution is one of the bad effects on natural ecosystems. However, this danger can also be reduced by increasing lighting practices to provide nighttime visibility and security.

Here are a few simple tips to help reduce light pollution without sacrificing comfort or safety of the community, as reported by the Dalmarfans website on Wednesday (03/06/2019).

1. Use CFL Lights

Use compact fluorescent lights (CFL) and LED lights that produce warm white lighting. Many LED lights emit blue light with short wavelengths that spread easily into the atmosphere, which causes eye fatigue, damages night vision and adds light pollution.

2. Protect the Lamp

Choose shielded outdoor lighting, meaning there is a solid lid on a light bulb that prevents light from being transmitted directly into the sky. This is to minimize sky pollution and can protect existing equipment by buying and installing affordable colors.

3. Install the Motion Sensor

Install the motion sensor on the outdoor equipment so it turns on when needed and turned off after a short time. Be sure to test and adjust the motion detector sensitivity as needed to prevent the lamp from turning on and off unnecessarily.

4. Certified lights

Use IDA-certified Dark Sky Lighting, which is designed to minimize glare, light spills, and sky light. Lamp fixtures that are approved by dark skies are available in various chandeliers, flush mounts, pendants, and wall sconces.
If you live near the beach, use a certified Turtle Turtle Lighting. These shielded lighting fixtures produce long wavelength light, which is not easily spread out, and must be installed low to avoid high angle brightness.

5. Turn off the lights

Turn off unnecessary outdoor lights when you are at home for the night or before going to bed to prevent lighting of dawn until dawn.

5 New Features That Will Be Present on WhatsApp, Anything

2019-03-06T07:18:00.004+07:00

A decade ago on February 24, two former Yahoo employees, Jan Koum and Brian Acton, launched a messaging application called Whatsapp. Basically, Whatsapp is designed to send notifications to friends.

Over the years, Whatsapp has continued to innovate. One of them is by adding many features, including video calls, group chat, and the most widely used message senders in the world. To commemorate the long journey of Whatsapp, reported by Malay Mail, here are some features that can facilitate the use of Whatsapp.

Find out when your message is read

Yes, nothing is more annoying than waiting for an answer for your text message for several hours, especially if the person has deactivated the blue check feature. However, there are practical ways to find out when your message is actually read and how long it has been ignored.

On Android, just hold the message you sent and select info. Meanwhile, in IOS, swipe left on the message and it will show the time of reading it.

Mark important messages

You don't need to browse hundreds of messages to find the appointment time or certain info that was sent a few days ago. You can mark it as a starred message.

How to? Press and hold the message and select the starred message.

To see starred messages on Android, you can choose the menu button and then open the starred message section. Meanwhile, IOS users can choose the star tab along the bottom of your screen.

Make words in bold, italic, or crossed out

To give you typographic emphasis sprints, Whatsapp lets you customize your text with bold, tilted and crossed out effects. To print bold text on Whatsapp, add an asterisk on both sides of words and phrases (* thick *); italicize the text with the underline on both sides (_miring_) and make the text crossed with tildes on both sides of the word (~ crossed out ~).

Hide profile pictures of certain people

If you prefer to limit the visibility of your profile picture only to people who are in contact, Whatsapp allows users to choose whether everyone, no one, or only your contacts can see your profile picture. How to? Open settings> account> privacy> profile photo.

Stop images and videos from entering the gallery

Whereas in IOS, it is saved to your camera. But, fortunately you can turn it off.

Android: Settings> chat> turn off media shows in the gallery.

IOS: Settings> chat> turn off save to camera roll.

Immerse the Wide Angle to Answer Consumer Needs

2019-03-01T06:34:00.000+07:00

Shooting through a smartphone is easier and more concise than having to carry a heavier camera. With the increasing trend of selfies and selfie photos, cellphone vendors are competing to offer supporting features.

Last year smartphone manufacturers crowded the bokeh feature on a cellphone camera. Now the camera is enriched with a wide angle lens. Wide angle allows taking photos with wider coverage than ordinary lenses. As a result, group photos become a necessity because more people can enter the frame.

General Manager for Brand and Activation of PT Vivo Mobile Indonesia Edy Kusuma said the camera features of the cellphone including wide angle were present to answer consumer needs. "The smartphone industry is fast developing. Mobile phones are now not only mere communication tools but also for mobile photography," he explained when met on Wednesday (26/2).

According to Edy, Vivo buried various features on the camera of the cell phone based on research. One of them is the hobby of smart mobile users showing their existence on social media through photo uploads. Therefore, wide angle is considered to be able to accommodate the wishes of users who like wefie and posted to social media.

Latest, Vivo will release Vivo V15 Go Up on Tuesday (3/5). But Edy is still economical to talk about the features pinned on this latest V series. He only leaked Vivo V15 will have three excellent features. The three features are 32 MP Pop-Up Camera, AI Triple Camera, and Ultimate All Screen. "There will also be a wide angle feature, but tomorrow will be explained in more detail at the official release. It's still too early," Edy said.

Google Starts Leave Passwords for Android

2019-02-27T13:20:00.000+07:00

Google and Fast Identity Online Alliance have launched the FIDO2 certification for Android at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. This means that Android devices simply use fingerprints or security keys as passwords.

As reported on the Cnet page, this security key can be run on Android versions 7 and higher, most of which are on the market. Actually, the fingerprint facility for security locks as passwords is already available in several applications on Android, especially for banking and other financial services. This change opens a security feature for Android that allows to log in without a password on the browser and operating system mobile applications.

Previous passwords were created in the digital world to allow access to accounts that manage finance, social life and more. The problem is, passwords are very vulnerable to hacking and are used for irresponsible things.

Passwords are even more ineffective if used for many accounts. A sophisticated computer can now easily track complicated passwords even within hours by entering every possible combination.

That is why the security industry is now busy starting to want to leave passwords because fingerprints are considered far more difficult to hack online. With the FIDO2 standard, the fingerprint security key is also protected from phishing attacks.

"With this news from Google, the number of users with FIDO authentication capabilities has grown dramatically and surely," Brett McDowell, executive director of the FIDO Alliance, said in a statement.

Now according to him, it is time for website developers to free users from the risks and complexity of passwords and integrate with FIDO authentication. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox, including those already integrated with the FIDO2 standard.

Security standards check when a user enters to make sure it is an original page and not a fake site designed to deceive users. Hackers often fake pages when Google shows some fake support pages that look identical to the original.

In a 2016 survey from TeleSign, security companies found that 72 percent of companies plan to stop using passwords in the next 10 years and will switch to biometrics and two-factor authentication. It also became Google's vision, which created its own security key in July, so experts also believe that fingerprints are the most appropriate substitute for passwords.

Exhibited at MWC 2019, Microsoft HoloLens 2 is priced at Rp.49 million

2019-02-26T07:50:00.000+07:00

Microsoft created the latest device, HoloLens 2. The device is priced at USD3,500 or approximately Rp.49 million, dubbed 'mixed reality' by Microsoft, where users can see the real world with the insertion of digital objects.

Reported by Cnet, Monday (02/25/2019), imagine an arrow pointing at you when you walk, or repair instructions float on the engine when you repair. That is mixed reality, promised by Microsoft.

Microsoft, the software giant indeed became a pioneer in the world of augmented reality when they debuted with their first headset in 2015. At that time, the device was priced at USD 5,000, then rival devices appeared like Magic Leap for USD 2,295.

With this price, MR headsets are more expensive than VR technology currently on the market. For example, Oculus Rift Facebook is priced at USD349, HTC Vive with USD499 and Sony PlayStation VR with USD299. You have to buy a computer or PlayStation 4 to support this VR device.

Microsoft continues to design better headsets as part of its drive into the world of AR. The company says HoloLens is still not ready for home users. Instead, Microsoft focuses on companies and the military.

At MWC Barcelona, the company also introduced this sophisticated device.

The top download speed of Qualcomm's latest 5G modem reaches 6 Gbps with upload speeds of 3 Gbps peaks on 5G networks. On LTE or 4G networks, download speed and upload Snapdragon X55 is 2 Gbps. Qualcomm also ensures that their 5G modems can operate with TDD and FDD technology.

"We believe our 5G platform will accelerate the momentum of the commercialization of 5G technology and will be a major component in the 5G launch in 2019," Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon said.

Qualcomm added that Snapdragon X55 is designed for all types of mobile devices including premium smart phones, mobile hotspot devices, mobile PCs, laptops, tablets, VR / AR devices, and automotive.

With speeds of up to 7 Gbps, devices powered by Snapdragon X55 are able to compete with devices connected to fiber optic networks. This means that mobile devices will be adequate as cloud computing devices, multi-player games, 360-degree videos, and heavy-class internet of things devices.

Facebook Marks People Who Often Send Threats

2019-02-18T08:11:00.000+07:00

Facebook is a social media platform that has complete data belonging to billions of users. This information is also used to track individuals who are considered a threat to the company or its executives.

This information is known to CNBC after talking to several former employees of the company. Facebook has individual records that the security team marks as threats.

Reported on CNBC, the list contains hundreds of names and reasons for an individual written in it. In fact, someone who insulted the Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, was also included in the list.

Facebook spokesman Anthony Harrison said the list used by the security team was to guard Facebook employees. "They are assessing and overcoming the threat of violence if necessary given to law enforcement," Harrison said, reported by Gizmodo, Saturday (16/2).

The information that Facebook has is said to be very accurate and complete. In fact, Facebook can also monitor the location of the person with high accuracy.

"We use the information we have to verify accounts and activities, overcome malicious behavior, detect and prevent junk uploads. We maintain the integrity of our products and promote safety and security inside and outside of Facebook," he added.

Instagram Users Immediately Taste DM Features on PC?

2019-02-14T07:30:00.000+07:00

Good news for fans of the Instagram application. Because the photo sharing application is testing direct message (DM) for the website version on the PC. Previously it was known that users cannot receive or send DM via PC.

Reporting from the Tech Crunch page, Wednesday (02/13/2019), this website version can make the DM feature a more personal messaging alternative. The messaging feature is capable of being a great engagement driver that often attracts people back to an application, and knows that friends can receive it anywhere.

Unfortunately, the feature is indeed just tested and it is not known when it was officially released. As is known, Facebook Inc. has played a lot on the website. Facebook itself starts on the web before being present in the app. Meanwhile, WhatsApp has also expanded to WhatsApp Web in 2015.

So it makes sense if DM will also explore the website, to enrich user variations. This can also pave the way for the unification of the upcoming Facebook back end infrastructure for Messenger, WhatsApp and DM Instagram which should expand encryption and allow cross-application chat as expected by Facebook Inc.

Is this the 5 New Central Features Twitter Made on iOS?

2019-02-13T08:13:00.000+07:00

Twitter seems to be fixing itself by developing various new features. Complete, the company led by Jack Dorsey is reportedly experimenting to improve night mode, direct encrypted messages, and GIF.

Reporting from Mashable's website, Saturday (02/09/2019) these features were discovered by social media consultant Matt Navarra, who said that he could access features that had not been released by digging around in the code of the Twitter iOS application.

A Twitter spokesman declined to comment on the specifics, but said the company regularly experimented with many new features, and that not all tests were launched more widely. Following are the features found by Matt Navarra:

1. Night Mode Improvement

Twitter is testing two major updates for night mode or dark mode. First the dark mode is really black, not dark blue as it is now.

In addition to improving colors, it seems that Twitter is testing an automatic version of the feature, which will function similar to Night Shift on iOS. With dark automatic mode, eating dark Twitter themes can be automatically done at night and dies in the morning until noon.

2. Encrypted Direct Messages

Encrypted messages have been a Twitter job for a long time. The CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, once revealed that he thought the message was immediately encrypted in 2016.

Navarra also revealed in the next tweet that he had heard from sources that encryption was planned for the end of 2018. But unfortunately, the work still seems to be paused for reasons unknown.

3. GIF reaction

GIF seems to be popular in various platforms to express reactions in chat, After Instagram, Twitter is rumored to be adding GIFs to tweets, this option will apply specifically to retweets, so you can add GIFs above tweets.

4. New Navigation

One of the more interesting features that Navarra sees is three new additions to the Twitter navigation bar. These additions are news, friends and highlights. It is not clear what these choices are, but this can be a new way to filter your timeline. Navarra speculates that "friends" can show you tweets from people who follow you that you follow back.

5. New Movement

It looks like Twitter is testing some UI changes that will allow you to use drag and drop gestures in the application. First is the ability to move around the button to write a tweet. This is a small change, but it can be useful if you don't like the current placement.

6 Smartphone Unlocking Methods, Number 2 Safest

2019-02-12T07:14:00.000+07:00

Your smartphone must have a number of options for security. Some use screen lock with pattern, PIN, password, Face ID, iris scanner, and fingerprint. Then from the many methods, which one is easier and safer? This time Okezone will discuss it, along with the review as reported by the Android Pit page, Sunday (10/2/2019).

1. Face recognition

Face recognition or facial recognition is nothing new. This method was first present on the Android version of Ice Cream Sandwich. This feature uses the device's front camera to take photos of your face and then use the photo as a baseline to unlock your device.

Unfortunately, the security of this feature has been questioned and more contra than the pros. Then, one of the biggest problems is that lighting must be ideal for the front camera so that it can take pictures of faces. There is a similar feature on the iPhone X, called Face ID, although the technology and the way it works is a little different.

2. Fingerprint Scanner

This feature is probably the most popular now, because many Android phones adopt it. How good the feature is, of course depends on several factors such as the quality of the sensor and its placement.

Quality, in this case, means the speed of the sensor reads your finger. This varies greatly between devices, and the surface is scratch-resistant. There are certain biometric authentication mechanisms that are faster when you use them.

Interestingly, reportedly this is the safest feature at the moment. This is because the fingerprint reader is quite difficult to hack. In addition, sensors are developed to recognize body heat and the user's blood movement.

3. Iris Scanner

This method basically does the same thing as a fingerprint reader, and it requires the device to have a second registered password if you can't unlock your cellphone.

In the Galaxy S9 and Note9, the fingerprint and iris scanner cannot be activated simultaneously. In other words, the method of opening the second key must be a PIN or alphanumeric password.

Quality also varies according to lighting conditions and where the user's eyes are positioned. Better readers will not slow down when they recognize the user's eyes, even in low light conditions.

Systems that scan your iris also need to be fully integrated into the reader so that they react quickly and cannot be hacked. Technically, this system is equivalent to a fingerprint reader in terms of security.

4. Smart Lock

Smart Lock was first introduced on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and has been updated in all the latest versions. This method is quite unique, because the user can open the device in various ways.

Choose your trusted location, such as your home or office, and when you arrive at those places, your device will be unlocked without having to use one of these methods. You can even use a Bluetooth device as a trusted location.

Currently, Smart Lock can also be set up so that it keeps your cellphone unlocked even in your pocket. Apparently this is not a method of unlocking your phone, but rather as a supplement. Remember that anyone can access your cellphone when you are in one of your trusted locations, or even connect to a Bluetooth device.

5. PIN

This method is quite simple, users only need to set numbers whose length depends on the Android version you have. PIN can be used as the main key method in a smartphone.

Unfortunately, the PIN is also limited in recovery if you forget. You may have to spend hours trying to unlock your device. In addition there are several smartphones that specify how many times you can try to open. If it doesn't match it can cause the device to delete user data.

Then, you can also use several locking options that are combined with a PIN.

6. Password

A password is the oldest unlock method available, and it is considered the safest by many users. You can use any number and letter combo to unlock your device. The recovery system is very varied but, in general, it is difficult to recover passwords like a PIN.

Beware of Ticket Links Free on WhatsApp

Currently the link under the pretext of a free ticket is often found in the WhatsApp chat application. The link is in the form of text that gives instructions to open. After opening, the user is asked to fill out a survey.

Based on recent observations from Kaspersky Lab, the survey must be completed by 'victims'. After completing it, the user will be led to a page or site. But the page turned out to be a fake or fake site.

Kaspersky Lab monitors these links. Almost all survey instructions given are frauds or lies. Users who are trapped in filling out surveys do not experience material losses. But their personal data is easily stolen.

Even more worrying, users who have been trapped in filling out surveys are asked to share a link to some friends to get tickets. But after the action was carried out the promised free ticket did not come. Again, users are actually taken to fake sites.

Researchers from Kaspersky Lab suggest that WhatsApp users should not link suspicious messages with any scenario. Then never share a link with friends. If a friend sends it, remind them that the link is fake information.

Currently free tickets are often promised in the form of plane tickets, tours in Disneyland, up to dining coupons at fast-food restaurants. Besides via WhatsApp, fraud caused by theft of personal data was also found on Facebook's network media.

E-mail and the Web Become a Source of Malware Deployment

2019-02-08T06:17:00.000+07:00

Kaspersky Lab stated that e-mail and websites are still a favorite of hackers to spread malware online. Kaspersky Lab's SEA Territory Channel Manager, Dony Koesmandarin, said that email usage continues to expand because smart phone users must log in via email.

Even children who want to play games must also use email to register. "The trend has shifted towards online, websites have become a place to spread malware. Email, everyone, especially in big cities have e-mail," said Kaspersky Lab's SEA Territory Channel Manager, Dony Koesmandarin, Thursday (7/2).

Kasperksy assessed that the spread of malware in 2018 is divided into two categories, which require participation from users to click or that can be directly entered into the device without any clicks.

Malware that requires public participation, for example when opening a site, appears a pop-up box that tells users to update the software. In fact, the update is a manipulation of hackers to insert malware into the device.

In addition, hackers also take advantage of vulnerabilities in the browser to include file-less malware on the victim's device. Malware that is in this category can be a local threat, entered through hardware such as USB or CD.

Based on data from the Kaspersky Security Network, Indonesia is ranked 62 in the world infected with malware in this way, far below Yemen which is ranked first with a percentage of 72.6 percent.

If viewed from a source of malware, Kaspersky noted that only 0.06 percent of attacks experienced by Indonesia came from servers located in the country.

Kaspersky recommends that Warganet install a whitelisting application to monitor any application that can run on the device. With the application, only applications that have been entered into the whitelist can run, outside the list it cannot.

Alternatively, users must know what applications are installed on the device, including on mobile phones.

Dony suggests to pay attention to anything that can be accessed by the application, do not arbitrarily click "yes" when installing a new application. In addition, try to always update (update) applications or software to overcome security holes.

Twitter Launches Live Streaming Video Group at Periscope

Twitter in early 2019 updated its live video streaming platform, Periscope. Now, Periscope has the ability to broadcast live with other users.

Periscope users can invite three other users to join the group's live broadcast. Each participant can hear other users' live broadcasts.

"The launch of this feature allows us to provide a means to make conversations more lively by allowing viewers to 'call' directly, like on a talk show, and join their voices," said Head of Twitter Products, Kayvon Beykpour, in a press statement Wednesday .

Beykpour stated that the live video streaming feature makes direct conversations more fluid and enables new ways for users to create conversations with each other. Then, if you want to finish the live broadcast, users can stop at any time without having to wait for the others to stop.

The concept of video sharing on the Periscope platform is like a live video on other social media, creators can talk directly to the audience via a camera and sound, while the audience will respond to the broadcast with a text message.

"Live video is very influential and allows the creation of direct conversations that are synchronous between the creator's content and the audience," Beykpour said.

After a long wait, Whatsapp finally launched an additional layer of protection to protect user privacy. This new feature allows users to restrict other people's access to their Whatsapp application.

New security features that use this biometric technology can be found on Whatsapp Version 2.19.20. With this feature, users can lock this application with Face ID or Touch ID fingerprint scanning security features. It's just that the new features of Whatsappini can only be enjoyed by Iphone users.

This new Whatsapp security feature can be activated by selecting the Privacy menu in the 'Account Settings' option. Activating Face ID or Touch ID to limit Whatsapp access can be done by selecting 'Settings', 'Account', 'Privacy' then activating 'Screen Lock'.

Apart from these new security features, there are some updates that are also expected by Whatsapp users. These updates include more sticker options and inclusion of keyboards from third parties.

Whatsapp has now grown as the most popular messaging application in the world since it was launched in 2009. Currently, there are around 1.5 billion active Whatsapp users in the world. Large mergers with other messaging applications owned by Facebook can make this number grow even bigger.

"There is a lot that we need to take into account," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said regarding Instagram and Facebook Messenger's integration of Whatsapp, as reported by the Independent.

New Bluetooth 5.1 Standards Announced, These Are the Advantages

2019-02-01T10:56:00.000+07:00

The Special Interest Group (SIG) has announced a new standard for Bluetooth 5.1. The biggest innovation is a feature dubbed Direction Finding, with this the user can determine which direction the signal is sent. Reporting from the Android Pit page, Wednesday (01/30/2019), this allows you to determine the location and accuracy of only a few centimeters.

According to GIS, the new location will play a major role in indoor navigation and replace WLAN-based positioning in the long run. GPS positioning can also be improved, especially in places with poor GPS reception. Of course, the location of the key that is misplaced or the like will also be more appropriate.

In addition, the new Bluetooth 5.1 feature embedded is Generic Attributes (GATT) which is optimized to achieve faster installation. In addition, the transmission speed is higher, and the Random Channel Index is increased to prevent data packets from experiencing interference during transmission, which results in interference or disconnection.

Previous versions of Bluetooth 5.0 present a wide transmission range (up to 240 meters), lower power consumption, faster transfer speeds (up to 2 Mbps) and the ability to pair two audio devices with other devices.
