Meanwhile the government goes ahead in making billions from the returns they get from the consumers of electricity who barely get value for their money.</div> <div class="MsoNormal"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal"> The federal government established NEPA decades ago and recently changed the power supply organization to PHCN; since the establishment of PHCN, the rate of power outage has tripled with prolonged hours of darkness.</div> <div class="MsoNormal"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal"> The situation has become unbearable for the citizens and even to foreign investors. If you are a foreigner who intend to start up an industry, the best option is to rely on giant power generators. This is bad for business and also gives business and the people of <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Nigeria</st1:place></st1:country-region> bad orientation. One of the dangers we face with this electricity problems is air pollution, due to the carbon monoxide that comes out from this generators.</div> <div class="MsoNormal"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal"> Due to the menace, 98% of Nigerians has fall back to generators and it is very dangerous for a developing country to rely of house hold generators for power supply.
