Between Two Ferns/Lonely Island Colab Vid

I typically like Between Two Ferns way more than Lonely Island song/videos. Probably because both of them are good the first time you watch them, and even still funny the second time you watch them AND even funny several months/years later after not watching them when Youtube suggests that you might like to watch them. But the difference between them is that douchey bros don't play the audio from Between Two Ferns non-stop for all the rest of time in their cars next to you at stop lights and in other public places all the time forever. Trust me, I work 2 minutes from this place, number 5 on this list.

Being that it's wednesday and everything I figured we could all use some trippy house music with a rad video to help us get through the day without just disintegrating into nothingness. If you thought the audio only version of this song that I posted a couple weeks ago was/is good then prepare to add visual enhancements to an already pleasing experience. If for some reason you didn't listen to the song, unimaginable as that may be, you get to watch this creepy ass video AND hear the song together as your first experience with it... Lucky you. Sort of like that time you went down to the lake and almost broke your neck on that tire swing. I guess it's not at all like that, but you survived so get over it already!

Apparently I am just going to listen to happy beach-y sounding songs until the non beach-y Phoenix summer kills me, that I am guessing will happen mid August at best if not earlier. There ARE better ways to die, but there are most definitely worse ones too. Example of worse... Heart attack WHILST listening to Demi Lavoto's "Heart Attack".

That would be a very confusing/conflicted death, on one hand you would be pretty upset and surprised that you were dying, on the other hand you would be relieved that you no longer had to listen to the song. Worst case scenario would be to have the heart attack at the beginning then die right as it was ending. The worst 3:36 of your life... literally!

By the way, I feel confident that I have used the word "literally" as it was intended. I don't think there is anything at all figurative about saying that having a heart attack then dying 3:36 later, all while having Demi Lavato screaming terribleness into your ears is the low point in your now ended life. In fact I think that should be an example for people when teaching the difference between literal and figurative. You are welcome schools.

Also, I just noticed that if the heart attack DIDN'T kill you the irony would. I am pretty confident that dying of a heart attack during a song called "Heart Attack" is actually ironic and not just coincidental. On second though, I take that back, it IS just coincidental. Damn, irony is hard nut to crack... figuratively.

This video is kinda freaking me out. I don't think there should be so many shots of young people kissing and licking soft-serve ice cream. That ice cream should be hard and cold just like life. This video is giving kids the wrong idea, they are going to think their entire future is just making out in cars and tire swings down by the old swimming hole. But it's NOT, like I said, life is like COLD HARD frosted over ice cream. It's going to make you fat, your teeth fall out and it's probably going to give you cancer too. HAPPY WEDNESDAY! This video makes me want to go BACK to NYC where I just was last week. But then again I wanted to go back to NYC before I saw this video. If you would have played this song for me without telling me it was Dan Deacon and then said after it was over "That was Dan Deacon." I would have said "Yea I know, duh... it sounds just like Dan Deacon. Do you think I am stupid or deaf or something?" Then you would probably say something like, "Well, you are playing this stupid song guessing game with an obviously deranged individual... so yea I DO think you are pretty stupid." Then I would reply with a well deserved... "Touché!". Then you would put me back in the gimp box and go about choreographing your interpretive dance tribute to Murphy Brown.
