These txt messages I received from my dad a few weeks ago blew me away and inspired me to encourage everyone out there to NEVER quit trying to quit smoking with electronic cigarettes (or at least SWITCH).

I have to be very careful with my wording in this article though. Why? Because technically it is against the law to market electronic cigarettes as smoking cessation products since they have been classified as “tobacco products” by U.S. courts.

So am I suggesting people can use electronic cigarettes to quit smoking? No I am not. I am just suggesting folks never quit trying to quit. There is a difference because this means technically one is still smoking e cigs in this case. Get it?

Anyway, I may be walking the line here, but I believe it is never against the law to make statements of fact about people’s experiences especially not in a country where the 1st right of every citizen is free speech.

FACT: my dad, a hardcore 1-2 pack-a-day Camels smoker, has only smoked electronic cigarettes since May 24th 2011 (as I write this on June 29th 2011).

Has he really quit smoking though? He still smokes the “e cigs” right? And, e cigs are a tobacco product right? In the end it depends on your definition of quit.

He has quit smoking with electronic cigarettes because even though he is still smoking them he isn’t smoking traditional cigarettes and that was his goal.

OK, I will take my lawyer hat off now that I am probably driving some FDA compliance cop nuts at this point!

There are big differences between e cigs and regular cigarettes. So many in fact some people wish they didn’t have “cigarette” in the name suggesting they be called personal vaporizers (PVs).

Marketing and appearances seem to insist on the “cigarette” moniker however, because it is easiest in helping people understand the benefits.

Benefits My Dad is Experiencing with Electronic Cigarettes

My dad is experiencing tremendous benefits to his health after only about 5 weeks. He told me his smoker’s cough and chest pains are completely gone and he can take deep breaths for the first time in a very long time. He has even stopped snoring!

Not to mention his tar intake is now zero because e cigs don’t contain any tar whatsoever and that is a FACT not some BS claim like “low tar” light cigarettes made years ago.

He is also experiencing huge benefits to his wallet as well. In fact, he said that was one main reason for going back to the e cigs. He said it was too hard paying $7 a for a pack of cigarettes. At that price some days could cost as much as $10 a day. Now an e cig cartridge costs him a little over $3 and lasts a day or more.

(Fun Fact: A $1000 mortgage payment averages out to about $33 per day.)

Finally, he is getting ALL of these benefits while satisfying both the physiological and psychological aspects of his smoking addiction. No other tobacco product comes close to all these benefits if you can call them benefits. He is still smoking e cigs after all and getting all that nicotine right?

My dad’s experience wasn’t an instant success though. There is a back story!

E Cig Failure Eventually Became Success

I started this blog a few years back when my mom switched to electronic cigarettes 100% back in 2008. Both my parents attempted to switch at the time.

My mom succeeded by vowing to never smoke a regular cigarette again and stuck to her 3 piece pen style electronic cigarette.

My dad however was still smoking 4-5 cigarettes a day. Eventually, he got frustrated with atomizer and battery failures and couldn’t seem to get enough nicotine despite smoking the strongest e cig cartridges he could find at the time.

I blogged about my dad’s relapse to regular cigarettes about 2 years ago now.

My mom stayed steady and STILL hasn’t smoked a real cigarette since that fateful day in 2008. She learned how to cope with battery and atomizer failures prevalent back then and even started dripping (refilling) her cartridges to save even more money.

I tried to get my dad to try other styles, like a 2 piece I had obtained to write a review, and he finally did try one for a few hours, but complained it was too harsh. I took a few drags and realized his cartridge was bad right from the start! I tried to explain, but by that point he was done trying.

E cig Technology Improved

Enter 2011 and my mom is transitioning from her current 3 piece style and brand to a new 2 piece style and brand that her trusted supplier recommended.

She is thrilled with the 2 piece style and brand and recommends it to my dad. He tries it and the rest is soon to be history.

My dad’s desire to go back to e cigs coupled with a more reliable e-cigarette brand / technology finally won out. His frustration with increasing cigarette prices was the straw that finally broke Joe Camel’s back. LOL!

Family Vacations Will Never be the Same

My dad was actually not the only success story. He was just the “hard case” that happened to send txts that I could screen capture on my iPhone for the blog. (BTW, to screen capture to the camera roll on iPhone: press and release the power button while holding the home button down)

My brother and his wife (fiancée at the time) actually got starter kits at the same time and have been cigarette free since they got theirs too! This was not a first attempt for my brother either (that’s another story) but it was for his wife.

You will notice in the screen capture from my iPhone that the txts were sent back in May. I actually meant to blog about it sooner, but put it off because I was busy and also because I wasn’t sure how committed everyone is this time.

So, I decided to wait for my brother’s wedding in Florida since we planned to all get together and stay together in a vacation home rental near the beach. I knew it would be very hard for even 1 person to sneak a real cigarette without my wife smelling it at some point. She can’t stand it!

I am happy to say all of these results are very real for my entire family. We were able to enjoy our vacation more with less tension as the non smokers were not bothered AT ALL by the virtually odorless e cig vapor even when they were all the smokers were “vaping” at the same time INDOORS enclosed in the air conditioned vacation home.

And the Moral of the Story Is…

This post is turning into a marathon, but I hope you are still with me and finish reading to the end.

I have always felt strongly that people should never quit trying to do something they really want to do. Switching to electronic cigarettes is no exception.

I have tried a lot of brands because I get them as samples and I promise more reviews are coming. I have noticed in my experiences though that despite appearance performance can vary significantly in many different ways between styles and brands.

And, what works for one person isn’t guaranteed to work for another and even though many advances have been made in electronic cigarette technology there are still hiccups with any technology especially when getting started.

So, if your first, second, third or even fourth experience isn’t good then take a step back and ask yourself “why?” Did you just get a bad battery or cartridge or both? (It happens!) Is there a learning curve? Is there something about the brand / style that you can’t live with? Is there another brand that works better? Do you need a stronger cartridge with more nicotine? Are you just worried what other people might think or say?

This is technology so you have to be patient with it or try different things to figure out what works for you just like everything in life.

So, if you are wondering if you can permanently switch to electronic cigarettes the answer is likely yes. Heck, my dad is even talking about putting down the e cig now. What you decide in the end is ultimately your decision, but I hope you find inspiration in this story and I urge you to never “quit” trying to quit smoking with electronic cigarettes. Even if it means you end up smoking e cigs for the rest of your life.

Never Quit Trying to Quit Smoking with Electronic Cigarettes

It has been a full week since Blu Cigs sponsored Mike Bliss driving #32 in the Coca Cola 600 last weekend, but I finally got video footage of it uploaded to YouTube yesterday.  There are some great clips of the Blu Cigs car in it!

Getting footage from my DVR to my computer in a format I could edit proved to be quite a challenge and is cause for the delay. This effort consumed much of my evenings last week, but in the end I think the finished product is worth it.  See what you think.  Pay special attention to the finish at the end!:

There are a lot of other YouTube videos of the event mostly because of the circumstances of the finish (which I will cover in a second), but so far NONE of them highlight the Blu Cigs car as much as mine.

And, before I talk anymore about the race I have to start with full disclosure: I KNOW NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT NASCAR

So be kind to me in the comments if I happen to say something that make me look really stupid. I have heard that NASCAR was on of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. and after making this video I think I am starting to see why. I think I am becoming a fan..

I scoured the footage to find good shots of Blu Cigs car. It was not easy because Mike Bliss hovered around 35 the entire race so the footage seemed to cut away frequently before #32 would come into view. Also, the announcers were more interested in talking and showing footage of about the top 10 contenders.

Except… Sadly, the announces did end up talking about Mike Bliss in #32 when the Blu Cigs car stalled out on the side of the track and caused the 6th caution of the race!    This probably resulted in some of most “close-up” even if slightly embarrassing shots of the car, but I had to throw it in the video anyway.  And, I couldn’t help but wonder, “was this a publicity stunt for their sponsor?”

Despite this Mike Bliss still finished in 30th place.  Before the race even took place, commentators on the web were hopeful that he would finish or stay in the top 35 I can’t remember which.  And, I sure as heck don’t know why they were hopeful of this except I think somewhere towards the end of the race the leader board at the top of the video started showing that any car after 35 place was “out.”  Maybe this is why?

I don’t know, but there were some very good shots of Blu Cigs’ car in the final laps actually racing (and making lazy caution laps with everyone else too).

The Finish: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Runs out of Gas on the Last Turn

As a result of Earnhardt Jr. running out of gas on the final turn of the last lap, Kevin Harvick won the race.  Everyone was low on gas towards the end as the Coca Cola 600 is the longest NASCAR race on the circuit.  It seemed even more taxing on fuel supplies because it seemed all the caution laps were wasting fuel and cars would run out of fuel and almost wreck on the restart causing even more caution laps.

Anyway, it was a very exciting race.  I am much more inclined to watch another NASCAR race after this experience. I feel bad that Earnhardt didn’t win another race.  I think I read somewhere that he hasn’t won in 105 or 106 races straight.  That is quite a dry spell for Earnhardt fans.

I was happy for Kevin Harvick though because he came from a few cars back right at the end to win it.  I think it is this kind of excitement that keeps the sport growing.

Significance of Electronic Cigarette NASCAR Sponsorships

I also read somewhere that a “smoking product” hasn’t sponsored a car since the Winston brand in 2003. Could this mean that electronic cigarettes are entering the mainstream as a socially acceptable smoking alternative?  Only time will tell.

It will also be interesting to see if the Blu Cigs and Green Smoke NASCAR  sponsorships in the Coca Cola 600 bumped up sales enough to initiate future sponsorships.

Coca Cola 600 Blu Cigs’ E-Cig Car Highlights & Finish [VIDEO]

Just weeks after Blu Cigs shows up on the tech page of The New York Times, Blu Cigs AND Greensmoke are ratcheting up mainstream promotion of electronic cigarettes with each sponsoring their own car in the Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race today.

I got the photo of Greensmoke’s car from their Facebook page.

Actually, I have found 2 different sources citing the fact that Greensmoke’s driver T.J. Bell failed to qualify with his Toyota Camry car #50 at a mere 186.567 mph. That sucks! Now, the info on their NASCAR entry seems to be missing from their home page.

Despite this, Greensmoke is still celebrating Memorial day weekend with a site-wide 15% off coupon. Just type “MDay15” in the promo code area during checkout on Greensmokes’s site to get the discount.

After all, it is still memorial today and we all have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for.

Fortunately, Blu Cig’s Ford #32 driven by Mike Bliss did qualify with a speed of 186.413 mph (go figure). So, electronic cigarettes will still be getting some major mainstream attention today. This attention will probably come in the form of millions of people asking, “what in the heck is Blu Cigs?”

I am not going to write much more because I need to make a quick trip to the store for BBQ supplies before the green flag plus e-mail and tweet folks this info, but if you want to watch the race tune into Fox at 6:19 EST.  If you want more info on this news check out this article which is pretty good.

Greensmoke AND BluCigs Sponsor NASCAR Memorial Day Weekend 2011 [Pictures]

Apparently, the news about Blu Cigs’ new social networking device, the “smart” blu pack I blogged about a couple days ago was big enough to make it in an article that appeared on the front of The New York Times technology page yesterday.

I feel strongly that I need to put this in perspective though.. When I found this news it showed up right between articles about Microsoft AND Google!!

This is another great victory for electronic cigarettes and Blu Cigs in particular.  I took a screen shot and annotated withred arrows and a red box to illustrate the positioning of the story as you can see at the start of this article.

In case you didn’t read my last post, Blu Cigs recently announced they are enhancing their “blu pack” which previously was a mobile charger and storage device for Blu Cigs electronic cigarettes.

Now, the blu pack will also include several new social networking features such as wirelessly detecting other “smart” blu packs and also Blu Cigs retailers within 50 feet. Once connected wirelessly the packs can communicate profile info of the smokers or retailers that can be downloaded to a computer later depending on privacy settings.

This is big enough news that outlets like The New York Times are picking up on it.

Blu’s intent, as all businesses, is to get more free publicity and marketing and ultimately more customers and money. A pleasant side effect of this is that more people will start smoking electronic cigarettes and be better off in terms of their wealth and possibly (probably) their health.

Ironically, Brustein’s report has a skeptical tone and this makes me wonder. Did he know what position his article would be in on that NYT tech page? He writes:

You’ll meet more people than ever, just because of the wow factor,” said Jason Healy, the founder of Blu, who did not appear to be making friends as he exhaled the odorless vapor of an e-cigarette at a coffee shop in Midtown Manhattan recently. “It’s like with any new technology.”

I don’t think Healy is talking about the wireless functionality of the new blu pack at this point. That part can’t have a “wow factor” because no one can see it and it would be no different than the prior blu pack. But, Brustein cleverly weaves in the aforementioned quote.

Brustein also quotes Charles S. Golvin of Forrester Research who apparently studies connected devices who said:

“The way that groups of affinity are conferred just by physical proximity makes a bit of sense,” he said. “If someone walks by with a Nintendo, great, I share a common interest. The fact that I walk by a smoker? Seems like a weak link.”

Not just a smoker, an e cig smoker.. This guy probably doesn’t smoke and I guarantee you he doesn’t smoke electronic cigarettes.

Yes, it is true some smokers balk at the concept even when presented with the benefits, but smokers are dwindling in numbers and at this point and, unfortunately, e cig smokers are even more rare despite all the mainstream media attention lately.

This makes the connection between e cig smokers even STRONGER.

Take a step back people.  At the end of the day, no matter what anyone says, Blu Cigs’ new social networking enhanced blu pack made news right alongside Google and Microsoft.

Blu Pack Social Networking Device News in The NYT

Getting Net Connected and Going Social

Representatives from Blu Cigs contacted me last week to ask me if I would be interested in reviewing and blogging about their new “Blu Pack” which will include social networking features and may even be net connected through an iPhone app!

It took a few moments for the whole idea to sink in before I replied with an emphatic, “YES!”

I haven’t even had a chance to update my Blu electronic cigarette review since they have switched to a new 2-piece design, but I thought I should blog about this before I do that because an industry changing innovation like this is likely to be BIG news.

The Blu reps told me their new smart Blu pack will go on sale next month and they are willing to ship me a pre-release version before they are available to the public. I am not sure when I will receive it, but I will likely do one or more videos covering the functionality and post them on the blog here.

What Does the New Smart / Social Blu-Pack Do?

From what the Blu rep. said it sounds pretty cool..

Off the Net

The new blu pack will have social networking feature that can be used without being connected to the internet.

First, aside from continuing to recharge Blu e cig batteries, it will now vibrate and blink the blu pack’s signature bright blue LED when within 50 feet of another smart blu pack. This will let you know that a fellow electronic cigarette smoker is in your vicinity and gives you a heads up to keep an eye out for them.

If you don’t happen to spot this fellow user vaping there may be an optional function to exchange some contact information wirelessly that can be downloaded to a computer later and used to make friends on various social networking channels.

The new blu pack will also be able to wirelessly detect when it is within range of a Blu Cigs retailer in case you need to stock up on refills or replace a battery.

Hopefully the indication that you are close to a retailer vs. fellow user will be somewhat unique so one can tell the difference.

Net Connected

I am not sure whether these features will be available at launch, but there was also talk of the new blu pack connecting to your iPhone or other mobile device.

This cellular connectivity would open up tons of possibilities including checking into Foursquare, posting to your Facebook wall, tweeting etc. I am a little fuzzy as to what these events would be (replacing cartridge, recharged battery, within vicinity of another user) but there does seem to be a benefit to the user other than just pervasive marketing for the Blu product.

Maybe, the Blu pack wireless interface will be open and [ECR] could even write its own iPhone app to interface with the Blu pack and your social networks in ways that Blu doesn’t provide..

Yeah right. But seriously..

There is also talk of reporting usage stats either for one’s personal information or for one’s doctor.

As I write this I can think of my own ideas such as an automatic replenishment system that ships more cartridges once the blu pack detects you have depleted your supply. Technology like this has its challenges and hopefully the benefit is worth it.

Get More Details

I am a techie so I have tons of questions like, will it be blu tooth … er I mean bluetooth, wifi? Will it have a GPS chip? Which social networking sites will it work with? Will it let me guard my privacy? Also, how much will it cost?

All of this is based on what the Blu reps told me about their new before I have had a chance to verify any of the functionality so please don’t get upset if I got any of the details wrong.

New Blu Pack to Be Social Networking Device

Depp Exhales E-Cig Vapor

It looks like this is old news, but I actually saw the move last night so I wanted to add my review of Johnny Depp ’s portrayal of the electronic cigarette in “The Tourist” along side co-star Angelina Jolie. Interestingly enough I covered Katherine Heigel and David Letterman’s demonstration of e cigs in one of my last posts so hopefully this celebrity usage helps rocket use into the mainstream more.

With regard to the Johnny Depp movie “The Tourist” however, I want to point out that not ONE single article I read on other sites mentions that the electronic cigarette is actually integrated into the plot of the movie.

I will not say how exactly how the electronic cigarettes are involved in the plot because it might spoil the movie, but I highly suggest you rent the movie and see for yourself.

Here is a scene from the movie where Depp uses his trusty e-cig:

Pretty cool huh?

This is mostly a positive portrayal by Johnny Depp even if Angelina Jolie ’s character isn’t too keen on the idea.

My only complaint is the sound effects created / used. The foley artist and / or foley editor (a.k.a. sound effects guys) make it sound like Depp’s character is taking a drag on a cheap plastic tube!

Unfortunately, this is a highly inaccurate representation of how electronic cigarettes actually sound when you take a drag.

My concern is that people will get the wrong impression and hesitate to buy or even try one thinking it is like taking a drag on something cheap.

The truth is that many manufacturers of electronic cigarettes go to great lengths trying to duplicate the size, look, feel and taste of an actual cigarette. To do this, some use lighter lithium polymer batteries, paper coatings on the cartridge, and a tiny microprocessor to realistically simulate the glow of a real cigarette ember.

I don’t think the foley artist or foley editor intended to give a negative impression. I just think it is hard to come up with all those sounds and make them “pop” they way they need to in a movie!

Does anyone have a confirmation what brand they are using in the movie? I hear Depp’s mother smokes an electronic cigarette now.

Part One

Hello everyone. This is Sparky from ElectronicCigaretteReview.com also known as SmokelessBlog.com. And I’m very excited to shoot another unboxing video for you today with a brief demonstration at the end of this electronic cigarette that I just got in the mail today.

This is from a new company that’s based in United States called Red Dragon Products. And the reason why I’m excited about this is because this is a new type of electronic cigarette in which they build the atomizer directly into the replacement nicotine cartridge.

So, if you’re new to electronic smoking you should know that there’s some in, in’s and out’s of the atomizers that are typically used in these devices, namely they wear out after some use and some abuse and need to be replaced occasionally. There are some other issues, you can go to the blog if you’re really interested in some of those in’s and out’s and read some of the postings on atomizers.

But basically, the idea here is that that’s all circumvented because with this product, because the atomizers are built into the replacement cartridges. Now here some of the veterans out there might be thinking, well if the atomizers are built into the cartridges, that mean the cartridges are expensive. They are actually not, they are actually about the same price as regular cartridges. In some cases, I even noticed it’s cheaper.

So, do the cartridges last as long or the atomizers inner replacement cartridges is good? I don’t know, you have to go to the, to the site and basically check out the complete review online and see what I find out later.

But, I’m kind of anxious to get to the unboxing. This, this kit I got from the company is the 8 piece kit, all right. And, I actually also got an extra pack of cartridges. And all of this came shrink wrapped, actually I’m gonna go ahead and play in some video of me taking the shrink wrap off the 8 piece kit. I did want to just get in there and make sure the batteries were charged for the review and everything. So, I’ll play some video and so you can kind of see what that, what that looks like to take the shrink wrap off.

But the extra cartridges came shrink wrapped as well, with the case that I also ordered in there. And I’m, I’m gonna to unwrap that and show that to you in the review as well. But another thing I want to point out here about the cartridges is, the packaging, it looks like, this is going to be targeted to be sold retail, as well. So, I would expect you can see in a store near you, pretty close.

I wanna put that aside and until I have the cigarette out and I can use that and basically I get to opening the box here. So, it’s a nice box, it’s, it’s fairly compact. Let’s go ahead and open that up. Of course, on top here the first thing we have is the instruction manual. Then the very next thing is the electronic cigarette which looks like it’s partially assembled.

Actually there’s an electronic cigarette and one thing I noticed on the shrink wrap is that they actually gave me a bonus cartridge. And that’s the bonus cherry cartridge right there, which is, you know, which was kind of just nice, pleasant surprise. But technically, since the atomizer is built into the cartridge, you actually get two electronic cigarettes.

I know, all, all the kits come with a spare battery but with this particular kit you can actually load both of them up and try them out at the same time. So that’s, that’s kind of a new feature. Underneath the cigarettes we have the rest of the kit.

Of course you have your, your extra nicotine cartridges that come with the kit. I’m gonna go ahead and put those there. You have the wall charger which I’ll, I’ll also go ahead and take out. And it has a flip out, wall plug which is kind of nice and makes it easy to take with you if you’re gonna decide to do that. And then the, the travel USB charger that plugs into your computer.

Then also another thing I noticed in here was quality and inspection stickers. So I think that’s, that’s a good thing that, whenever a company came inspecting, make sure the quality is good before they deliver the product. So, real quick I just wanna look at what the charging situation is here. Kind of, it’s kind of an interesting charging system.

Looks like, you, there’s a rubber thing here on the end of the spare battery. I’ll go and take that off and it looks like it screws right into the USB charger. I’m assuming, I haven’t read the instructions yet. But I’m assuming you just plug that right into your computer. And then as far as the wall charger is concerned, apparently you also plug the, plug the wall charger into the USB adapter as well. So that’s how you charge this thing on the go.

So apparently, I think that’s the way the car adapter works as well, as you’ve to have the USB guy plugged that into the car adapter. So USB guys is pretty good to keep with you.

So I’m gonna go ahead and go and take that off the charger for now. One more thing I did notice about the charger is, an LED which I do notice because I took the shrink wrap off to make sure the batteries were charged. Ready, this LED does turn red to indicate that it need charged, and green to indicate that it’s finished charging. So, no guess work there.

As a side note, I do think the instructions say, take the, take the battery off the charger when you’re, when the light turns green. Now, I kind of wanna check out these cartridges because I’m really anxious to see what the, what the cartridges with the atomizers built into, built into them look like.

So looks like, four cartridges to a pack, so you maybe get one less cartridge, but I think the fact that the atomizers get replaced every time justifies that. And I’m gonna go ahead and set these guys aside. And it comes kind of wrapped in this rubber, this rubber, I actually like the packaging because I’d, I’d no problem just throwing that in my pocket.

It does say the flavor, right there on, on the cartridge. I’m gonna peel that off. And then take these rubber, looks like just two rubber ends that protect the cartridge and keep it fresh. Just peel those off, put those aside. And so that’s the cartridge with the atomizer built in. That’s the one end of it, that’s the end we inhale on. And that’s the end with the atomizer built in.

So, this is going to be pretty interesting to check this out. I’m gonna go ahead and just install it here and give you a brief demonstration. Actually before the demonstration, I did want to go ahead and open up this, open up this carrying kit real quick. And see if I can see how that works. Pretty easy to unpack it, I’ll say that.

And, looks like you open it by pressing this button. All right, and it doesn’t look, I would have expected the phone to be form fitting but it doesn’t seem to be the case. Looks like you just put it in there. And, actually it’s tight. It does not rattle around in there. So that’s good. Definitely, something that will be good for the coat pocket or the purse. So, I like it. Very nice carrying case. It got the little plain clip there. Nice feature and it’s not expensive either on the website.

So, here we go with the first drag. I think the, I took that drag a little bit too hard because the tip started blinking there. I’m gonna go ahead and do the full inhale now. I’ll say that’s a fair about, fair amount of smoke there for a full inhale.

I’m gonna go ahead and repeat that. First, the drag with no inhale. Pretty good amount of smoke. The atomizer is getting warmed up now, go and take a one more long drag with an inhale. So you have it.

First impressions, I like it. The construction is pretty solid. Although it’s lighter than other minis I have tested. And it seems a bit smaller. So, actually I like the fact that it’s light because it is actually like a, more like a regular cigarette.

Some of these minis you can’t hold them in your mouth without feeling like you got a real piece of hardware in your mouth. But this is one is fairly light.

And, I’m gonna see if I have a, a cigarette here to compare it to and I do. So this is a, this is a real cigarette and you can see that it’s only a little bit bigger. So that’s, I know this infact is a bit smaller than the other minis I’ve been, I’ve been looking at. Can we get a comparison there. It’s very similar in size, only a little bit heavier than a real cigarette. So, I’m very surprised by that.

Now the smoke that you see is of course is not really smoke. It’s just water vapor, nicotine and some nicotine flavoring. It’s not as harsh as a cigarette. I would say this brand is, is got the harshness, a little bit of harshness to it, but then again this is the regular tobacco cartridge. So I don’t know about the other cartridges. I actually, I find it very close to a real cigarette.

The smoke does linger a bit, but of course it dissipates fairly quickly because it is just a vapor. And, so I really think the company has something going here. But they replace atomizer every time. Atomizer first impression seems good, I’ll go ahead and put it through it’s paces this week and, and do a full review on it.

Another thing I want to mention real quick is, I do suggest buying a 8 piece kit because it’s a really good value but if you’re a little bit skeptical about the replaceable atomizer or if you, this is going to be your first electronic cigarette, this company offers a lot of different price points which I find to be highly desirable. So they have got a 1 piece kit, a 2 piece kit and a 3 piece kit at very good prices. So lets anyone try out.

No, you know, low cost, low risk, although they do have a 30 day money back guarantee as well. So all in all, it’s a pretty good product.

Red Dragon Mini E Cig Review – Unboxing & Demo [VIDEO]

NGAR Video Summary:

If you can still find one of these NGAR units around AND plenty of replacement cartridges for a good price you might want to think about picking it up.   I don’t think NJOY sells these anymore, but some third parties may still distribute NGAR or similar electronic cigar models.  I tend to like these if I can find them cheap because of the long lasting batteries and cartridges.  The only drawback is that that atomizer is not replaceable.

Hello again. This is Sparkey from electroniccigarettereview.com, also known as smokersblog.com.

Today I am shooting the third in the series of NJOY unboxing videos. In this third video I will be opening and giving you a brief demonstration of the NJOY NGAR electronic cigar.

The cigar cell electronic cigar ships in this brown sleeve because the electronic cigar is only offered in a wood grain style. And as you will see as I pull the sleeve off and open the box here, actually the first thing we have around top is the warranty card. I don’t think I mentioned this in the other videos but all of NJOY’s electronic cigarettes are covered by a one year warranty as well as a no risk 30-day money back guarantee. And the card says you can also visit website to activate the one year warranty if that is more convenient.

Next is the same wallet card that came with the other two styles. You can put it into your wallet purse and pull it out in the event that someone questions you in a non-smoking area while you are using the device. The idea is that they look somewhat official and could explain the concept to someone who hasn’t heard of or seen the product before.

And here it is. You can see that it has a wood grain styling like I said before. Now I’ll try to hold it as close as I can here so you can see. Now it has a nice solid feel to the construction. I really don’t think it’s real wood. But you can’t tell just by looking at it, even close up.

But I like it a lot. It is very classy with the gold trim there. And without the battery and nicotine cartridge it’s fairly light, about the same weight as regular cigar I would say. It shouldn’t get too much heavier after installing the lithium battery because lithium batteries are fairly light.

Another feature different from the NCIG and NPRO that I like is the mouthpiece cover that you can use to cover the mouthpiece when you store the device when you are not using it. I am going to put that down for just a second so I can show you everything else that’s in the box.

The cigar starter kit also comes with two nicotine cartridges. They come in these wood grain style hard plastic containers that I really like because they match the cigar and it seems like I could just throw that in my pocket and I don’t have to worry about it to carry it with me.

There are however only two nicotine cartridges in here. The cigar cartridges are much larger and carry a lot more solution so I’d venture to guess that these cartridges will last you about as long as the cartridges in the other starter kits. But I would like to have seen at least two different strength cartridges like maybe a medium and a high, or at least a tobacco flavor and a menthol flavor, since the cigar style cartridges are offered in both tobacco and menthol flavors.

Also included are two lithium batteries, a battery charger that plugs right into the lock. And two mouthpiece, extra mouthpiece cartridge.

OK. So let’s move on to the demonstration. To install the battery in the cigar style you actually unscrew the tip and insert the battery into the cigar like this, the red side facing out. Also it’s very important to make sure you fully charge the battery as I have before using the device.

Now, to install the nicotine cartridge, you have to unscrew the mouthpiece that is installed for shipping by turning it counterclockwise. And sit that down for just a second so I can open one of the cartridges. The cover for the cartridge also unscrews. And the cartridge in turn is threaded and screws into the device like so.

Now you have it. It’s ready to go. Before I take a drag though, I would like to compare it real quick to the other two NJOY styles.

Here they are, you can see the NCIG style in black. It’s actually longer. And from this angle you can see how much thicker the cigar is. Again you can watch the other two unboxing videos to get the full story on the NCIG and the NPRO.

Right, now I will take a drag. As with the other NJOY devices, there is a fair amount of smoke. The smoke is not really smoke of course, it is just water vapor, nicotine and some tobacco flavoring. I don’t know if you could see it in the video but the tip does light up like a real cigar. I’ll take one more drag.

The smoke dissipates after a few seconds but there is hardly any smell. And once the vapor does evaporate, there is no lingering smell, which is a huge advantage over traditional cigars. And is one of the reasons why you can smoke it in non-smoking areas, even indoors.

Hey everyone, this is Sparky with ElectronicCigaretteReview.com and I’m here to shoot another video review for you today.

And this video review is going to be on the Krave Disposable Electronic Cigarette from Smoke51. The actual name of the company is Smoke Anywhere USA, but it is the same company that packages and distributes the Smoke51 product.

And like I said, this is a disposable electronic cigarette. Actually going to be the first video review of a disposable I have done. I have done disposable electronic cigars, but never a cigarette yet.

So this is going to be kind of interesting. The reason why disposable electronic cigarettes are good is because if you haven’t tried electronic cigarettes before, it is a good first experience in my opinion, because it is the cheapest.

Basically, the reason why they are so cheap is because they don’t include extra atomizers, extra batteries, battery chargers, things like that. It is pretty much just battery and some replacement cartridges and that’s all you get.

So the other reason why disposables are good is if you are going to a place where you know you won’t have battery charger or you are just trying to pack light, or you have traveled somewhere and you forgot your regular cigarettes or your electronic cigarettes, and you’d like to purchase a cheap electronic cigarette.

So without any further delay, I am going to go ahead and un-box it and I am expecting to at least find this inside.

The packaging is very much similar to a regular cigarette even down to the cellophane that is on the outside. I find that interesting. Inside, we just have three things.

We have got an instruction manual that tells you how to use this thing. And I thought it was a two-piece kit, but it is not, it is in fact a three-piece kit.

This reason for that is because, it looks like it is just a cartridge for shipping, but inside you have a battery and a removable atomizer. But since it is a disposable and you are not going to be recharging the battery or replacing atomizers, kind of just get a closer look at the atomizer there.

And like I said, since you are not going to be replacing atomizers or charging batteries, you are pretty much just going to throw this thing away when you are done.

It is really just a two-piece kit, because all you need to do is pull it out of the package, pull off this protective cover and then put a cartridge on there and start smoking.

So I am going to do that now. I am going to move on to the, what I call the brief demonstration portion. In order to do that, I am going to have to pull out one of the cartridges here, which are nicely packaged in an interestingly enough kind of a push-through foil kind of packaging, which I find kind of nice actually because it will make sure that they are kind of sterile and ship well.

And looks like it has got a plug to pull off there. Pull that off, you can see the nicotine cartridge inside. It is already exposed, so there is nothing else to do except pull that rubber plug out and then you force it onto the end like this. And there you have it. You are ready to go.

You don’t have to charge the battery beforehand. I am assuming it is already charged, unless I have received a unit that is dead on arrival here and you are ready to go.

So now what I do in my demonstrations is I take two drags. The first drag I take is, I am not really trying to inhale, I am just taking what we call is a primer puff, and I am pretty much doing that to get the atomizer warmed for the full inhale, but I am going to still blow the smoke out, so you can kind of see the difference in vapor production from the primer puff to the full inhale.

And then after I get down with those two drags and I will repeat that, and by the fourth and final drag, it should be pretty warm. If it doesn’t work well, I may experiment a little bit, but I will go ahead and let you know if I’m doing that in the video.

So here is the first drag again. I am not inhaling on this one, I am just kind of pulling the smoke into my mouth. Wow, very good vapor production even on the primer puff.

Now I am going to go ahead and do the full inhale and after I inhale fully, I am going to exhale immediately so you can kind of see the difference.

That cherry is very good. I really like that. So I am just going to repeat that demonstration.

Again, the first inhale is — or the first drag rather, I am not going to inhale, just a primer puff.

And, I am having a little technical difficulty here. I am wondering if when I unscrew the atomizer, I might need to tighten the battery and I think I did have it little loose, so I am going to try that again.

Very good primer puff. And now I am going to go ahead and move on to the full inhale. So that’s about what you would expect from a three-piece unit. Very nice cherry flavor. Not much else to say about the unit first impression.

I like it. It looks like it has a four-hole atomizer. You will notice that when I took the drag, when the atomizer was actually on, the tip would light.

And there was no automatic cutoff switch, so I could take a drag for as long as I wanted to and I did take some pretty long drags there. So now I am going to move on to the size comparison.

And the first one I am going to compare it to is the, just a regular size filter cigarette, I won’t say what brand because you are not paying me to advertize for them. But you can see lengthwise, that disposable is quite a bit longer than the regular cigarette.

Now the reason why I am thinking that’s probably the case is, they want this to be a pretty high capacity battery to last through four cartridges. And then as far as the diameter is concerned, not the same diameter.

The disposable is a little bit bigger in diameter. And then I will compare it to the 100-length cigarette as well and lengthwise, that disposable is still longer.

I think one thing that adds a little bit of length to it is that atomizer there, I don’t know if you can see that, but the atomizer ends right there, has a little bit of length and then you have the cartridge that pushes on.

And then in terms of the diameter compared to the 100-length, as expected disposable is thicker but those 100-length cigarettes are usually a little bit more tapered.

So that pretty much concludes the un-boxing and demonstration of the Krave Disposable Electronic Cigarette.
