how to repair hp dv 2000 notebook, no display fault

First remove the main board,and re solder the video chip ic(shown in pic)
Re solder with hot air gun and before start apply the solder paste around the chip.
Set the hot air gun temperature to 400 C and start.
After the re solder work apply the cleaning liquid (best for thinner) and clean the PCB
then dry the PCB and assemble your notebook ,enjoy it,

1)first check the lens ribbon cable,if old or malfunction replace it.
2)tray motor running speed may be very slow,replace it
3) finally no resolve replace the dvd lens.

how to reset the dvd player with all function s are get not functioning .
you can see the motor control ic (servo ) ic power supply pin and the ground pin short at one second.this time switch on the dvd player and supply to mains supply for the set.
then switch off the mains and about 10 seconds .
after 10 seconds switch on the mains to set and check the set working,if not you can repeat this several times .ok try this.

2) TV is working but some buttons are not function
not the memory ic defective only the resistor packs in the front and rear side of the micro
controller ic .
you can replace 02 of 472 resistor pack.

a: check the op-to coupler you can see it's pins are corroded
b: replace the coupler
c: replace all corroded resistors
d: re soldering the pcb.

2: remove the three transistors and replace.
3: two tr are npn one is pnp easy locate there.

2)Check the pick up ribbon cable if bad ,replace it.
3)If doesn't work replace tray motor.then OK.
