You guys! Oh my god! Kylie Minogue just dropped a surprise new single and video last night and it's AMAZING! The new single, Timebomb, is an dance pop triumph with a sleek guitar riff and is undoubtedly one of the best singles of the year. The video, which was shot up in Soho to much speculation and excitement as nobody know what she was filming, has quite a few raunchy scenes and an amazing pair of hot pants.

Timebomb is the latest surprise from K25, the yearlong celebration of Kylie's 25 years in music and Kylie shows us yet again that she's still got it and she's not afraid to flaunt it.

You can watch the video for Timebomb below and buy the song and video on iTunes here:

This is probably the shortest time lapse between taster track and official single that I’ve possibly ever encountered!

He Met Her where picked up by our EQ Discovery radar only days ago with their FREE slice of electro nice “Take Me Home” and here they are in a swift return already with their first official single and video “Control”.

As insight on their forthcoming “Crime Novela EP”, Rocky Chance and Mowgli Moon tap into a soundtrack of summery synthy sensuality and steam up their video by getting their sexy on with a flirty escapade that leads them to indulge in, aherm, the heat of the moment, shall we say!

By way of explanation behind the concept, - from the press release:

“The Song was a dream to make. We wanted it all to feel a bit french riviera, fun in the sun & pure liberation. This all in contrast with the simple word “CONTROL" was where the idea for the video came in. There was this Bonnie & Clyde-esque flirty feel that we were trying to revive with the fervent effect of two people apprehensively enamoured with each other.”

I think they have pretty much conveyed their brief. I’m now not sure after watching, what’s hotter at the moment, inside or outside. PHEW!

There are certain things in this world that can just turn my frown, upside down. And one of those things is most definitely brand new videos that feature my favorite Russian sensation Sergey Lavarev.

Check out the summertastic new video to "Moscow To California" by DJ M.E.G. and Sergey's Lazerboy pal Timati. The track is just divine pop gold and it's so unfair that Russia holds onto their pop stars so dearly - they need to be shared with the rest of the world I say.

You know Sergey, you really almost lost me to Max Barskih, but coming back with tracks as excellent as "Moscow To California" will certainly keep you in the top spot of my favorite Russian import for years to come...

Well, sources tell me, Mama Murphy did need some much needed time off but I'm happy to report that she's back. Ok, not in her usual sort of way, but with a mighty-fine disco stomper with David Morales called Golden Era, that may, just may even get a nod of approval from Donna Summer herself.

We just saw the new video for It's Like That by Killian Wells and oh my god! Absolutely in love with it!

This new video, which co-stars internet sensation/one of my favorite human beings GloZell, is a total vintage paradise; kind of like seeing the world through Instagram, but without all the pretentious hipster nonsense. At 7 minutes and 30 seconds, this delightful mini-film is an aesthetic blast from the past, but full of modern wonders (I see that iPhone, Killian!).

Give this one a watch, EQs. It's rare these days to find an artist who can pull of a well thought out and fun long-form music video, and this one is top notch!

My favorite electropop prophets The Sound of Arrows have just released the music video for their next single Conquest from their debut album (and one of my favorite albums ever) Voyage. The video is everything I've come to expect from The Sound of Arrows: artistic, aesthetically pleasing, and ambiguous with its storyline. This is one of my favorite tracks from Voyage and it has everything you could ever really ask for in a music video: horses, a Delorean and ladyboobs.

It's a real feast for the eyes, so watch Conquest here:

Cheryl returns with her new album ‘A Million Lights’, released on June 18th through Polydor Records.

‘A Million Lights,’ Cheryl’s third solo album, is a body of work that indicates an advancement in both her confidence and maturity.

Sonically, ‘A Million Lights’ draws heavily from Cheryl’s preferred R&B playlists whilst also taking off-road trips into the dance tent, as witnessed on offerings from Calvin Harris (‘Call My Name’) and the preferred dub-effects of newbies like Panther (‘Girl In The Mirror’).

Having picked from a slew of beats to pen to and songs that captured her imagination, Cheryl’s had nearly a year in the studio, working with a vast array of production talent, resulting in a powerful new chapter in her already impressive discography.

Sowing the synths in New York with Jim Beanz, ‘This is War’ was the first borne. Going on to work with the likes of British talent; Naughty Boy, Alex Da Kid and one’s to watch such as the US based Beema Boys and the UK’s own Hy-Grade.

will.i.am, whose relationship with Cheryl spans mentor, friend, manager, producer and collaborator also features on the album. They team up together on one of the album’s highlights, ‘Craziest Things’, which tells the story of a couple in a volatile relationship.

Since Cheryl first came to prominence as a member of Girls Aloud 10 years ago, she has gone on to sell over 10 million records. Her debut solo single ‘Fight For This Love’ went to number 1 in 10 countries. Both solo albums ‘3 Words’ and ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ claimed the number one spot. She has collaborated with a diverse list of artists ranging from Dizzee Rascal to Gary Lightbody. And in a further nod of peer approval, Adele performed a live version of Cheryl’s chart-topping hit ‘Promise This.’

A Million Lights tracklisting:

1. Under The Sun
2. Call My Name
3. Craziest Things
4. Girl In The Mirror
5. A Million Lights
6. Screw You
7. Love Killer
8. Ghetto Baby
9. Sexy Den A Mutha
10. Mechanics of the Heart
11. All Is Fair

By Mandy Rogers

It may have been a whirlwind, but in a short time Canadian Eric Solomon has written a success story in his homeland that spans from a moment of chance, when a melody formed in his head whilst, walking past a building site.

That moment appears to have been life changing for Eric, as he went on to indulge and explore many music avenues by initially teaching himself to remix songs, by Owl City, The XX and Passion Pit, that in-turn were very well received by the public. In doing so, he also discovered a natural gift that has matured into him being an all round multi-talented artist, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.

Taking the Canadians by storm with his vibrant pop hooks and dusky soulful vocals, Eric has continued to catch the charts alight and his bag is own MTV reality TV show all in the space of almost 2 years. This is a breakthrough that has been meteoric but testament to the bountiful talent and dedicated musicianship put into each and every project.

Fresh from recently completing a tour with Dragonette, Eric has new goals set, he’s bringing his peppy brand of electronic pop to the UK!

Introducing himself to the UK, Eric will release the “Eric Solomon EP” on July 11th .

Prepare to be excited! The EP showcases 4 bombastic tunes of zingy electro pop, “Ground Control”, along with “Addicted”, “I Found Love” and “Time Bomb”. These tracks are so tunetastically good, that even the pop sceptics will probably find their toes twitching!

Eric makes music that just makes you wanna dance! It’s effervescent, punchy and instantaneous. This is music made out of total love for the complete music process, it takes over and burrows it’s tunetastic beats into your brain.

Eric Solomon, take over the UK – Bring it on!

By Mandy Rogers

Since bursting onto the scene at the end of 2011, dreamy indie synth pop tunesmiths Carousel are a fledgling band that have peaked the Hype Machine charts, and are seriously giving another hotly tipped act of the moment Beach House, a run for their money.

After pulling in critical acclaim through release of FREE EP “ 26 Allston” and ace dream woven electronica track “Where Have You Gone”, in prelude to their forthcoming EP titled “Sounds of Summer” the trio of Berkleee College of Music graduates drop “Let’s Go Home”.

Whilst still in-keeping with the core sound of floaty styled stream of arpeggiated synth sequencing “Let’s Go Home” maybe schooled in subtle, but it also fans a breezy air of sonic indie pop cool that is both soothing and a boost of vitality at the same time.

Whilst the video offers insight into Carousel’s own every day whirling merry-go-round of music making, it is rather pleasant to see a band bringing out and capturing the growing music process from paper, to jamming, recording and performing. It is clear they are just happy to be making music and I am more than happy to be listening to it!

It is easy for us to collect clutter in our lives; it is also easy with the advancements of technology for music to become cluttered with every new technique available, especially in the electronic sphere. Some of them for the good, some of them not, and some of them used far too readily, like my personal bug-bare of the extraneous use of auto-tune.

So when an artist comes before me, bearing their musical soul open with expressive but also simplistic beauty, that’s stripped down to the creature comforts in their music, I feel that I’m am moreover, connecting on the artists wavelength.

I have been fortunate to have been introduced to Icelandic Artist Andi Kristins, who is a multicultural grounded player, having settled and journeyed through Japan, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and is currently homed in New York.

Andi disperses the stresses of life and bakes her music with a slice of sugar and spice and all things nice! Or as her bio reports, “hot melted butter on toast, tea, autumn leaves, vanilla scented candles” these are a few of her favourite things and mine as it happens!

I feel if you’re into the delicate and graceful electronica of acts like BIM and Imogen Heap then you might like to get to know Andi Kristins as well.

Take a listen to the lead track from her new release “Magic”, uncluttered, beautiful and simply breathtakingly joyus feel good music, I think you will find!, like a pampering to the senses, that a long soak in a bubbly bath or a big fluffy pillow brings to a tired and weary head. As it's title suggest pure magic!

You can buy it here along with two other tracks “Snake” and “Afghanistan” both of equal charm and are a more than pleasant release from all the BOOM, BOOM, bleep, bleep, BAM, BAM, out there.
