I'm feeling a couple of things...First i really love blogging and i love this little blog. I like that i have my own little niche and a faithful followers (lovlies) alas i can't keep up the facade anymore. I have a life. I suppose If I was making a little from this hard work perhaps i it would help me stick it out a little bit longer, but alas i must quit. I'm not sure if i will be changing the focus of this blog or deleting all together but one thing is tru. Like a BAD relationship that begs for an end, i must close this season of mi vida. I am doing so regrettful and I will be keeping it up for a little while so that you can glean any vendor resources from here if need. But beyond the posts that remain, i will no longer be posting. Of course if i get a different message or feeling, or something tells me something different, i will stay but for now i am resigning in good faith. Sometimes a good thing can make you sick. Weddings, marriage and Relationships can be a wonderful thing, but making them an idol can be detrimental to your health. In pursuit or choosing of a mate this can be of extreme importance because too often people seek after things they dont need and end up getting burned. Money, good looks or other things can be a good thing but when you have to much of anything it will begin to make you despise it. I think of relationships where people have tons of money or are with beautiful people and they break up or begin to despise the person they are with.

I'm left thinking what was the problem? You had it all what made you leave and want more? Could it be that too much of a good thing is making you sick. I think of a current celebrity who is going through a divorce and domestic violence charges. One would think this person had everything they could have desired, yet we are reading about them in the newspaper. Not to say any couple is perfect...it does cause me to pause and check myself. These are some good questions to ask before getting into a relationship or contemplate leaving....

What are qualities that I absolutely have to have? Am i just being greedy? Am i beginning to show contempt for my boyfriend or husband because I have too much stuff already or too many expectations. Am i giving enough to others or serving or is this relationship all about me?

He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet. Proverbs 27:7

If you are hungry and needy whatever God gives you will be sufficient, however if you have the pick of the litter, the bad news is that even something really really grand you will not be happy with. Sometimes its better to have a little hunger. I encourage you today to let God fill the areas in your heart that only He can. Be blessed.

In the bible, Priscilla and Aquila in the bible talk about their role in helping Paul spread the gospel. I'm feeling a series coming on, about how to STICK TOGETHER. Priscilla and Aquila's home served as a meeting place for Paul and their hospitality blessed other. Its important to build a home that is a welcoming place for others and also important to get educated and grounded in your faith so you can teach other. I never thought of theirs as being one of the first COUPLE"S ministries in the word. But there's a lot of ways to STICK TOGETHER i will be looking into this is future posts..stay tuned..

Okay, taking care of our temple is of PRIME importance, health and fitness are really important. Nobody wants to be married to a couch potato. Hence the scripture : 'her arms are strong for her tasks...' Alright, so you are not happy with your body, do something about it. Currently, I'm on a health kick and also joined a running group. There's alot of resources out there, start with your church, many have exercises classes some even have ZUMBA or take free classes on nutrition and health awareness. Being cute is not going to get it, you need to be FIT!

Also remember TOXIC living will cut short your life, what you put in you get out so Ladies lets get those bodies together! See you at the TRACK!

I was thinking about this the other day and I wanted to pose the question. Have you ever thought of writing to the spouse you have never met, if you are not married. There were a couple articles talking about this and how you could perhaps package them in a lovely way to present to your spouse on the day of your wedding. What I like about writing is that it takes your mind off the 'waiting' season and keeps it focused on God and who He may have for you. Its also good at warding off temptation...

Anyway let me know if you have other sentimental things you may want to do for a future spouse. I'm open for new ideas!

Ok, Valentines Day is coming up so those with beaus are in for a challenge, especially in the Purity department when everyone is illegally fornicating and the world is telling you this is the time to be all romantic. You are thinking but I'm not married yet. For singles its the challenges of envy and bad ex-dates showing up at your door that in other times of the year you would never give the time of day. ALOT of temptation happens during this time, so before-warned. I was thinking about motives today, so I thought i'd share about the important of putting your spouse first.

It's easy to say you want to be married and not be willing to put aside those things that would distract you from having a successful courtship. But when you are about to tie the knot have you thought of all the obligations that could keep you from spending time together. Weddings add alot of stress and pose challenges but there's no better time to see where your priorities are. Are you more focused on having everything you want at the wedding or being with the one person chosen for you? Are you interested in making your mom, dad, sister and brother, friends, foes or anyone else happy or is it about pleasing God and your future spouse?

Sadly i've done this and seen this done. Some are soo focused on that job, wanting to be successful, being a great parent, having lots of money or some other issue that you lose site of the one thing thats supposed to matter more to you than anything, except God. And for singles, is your desire for marriage REALLY in the right place, or do you just want a baby. Or a fly house or a fab wedding because all your other friends have had it. If your first desire is to be a wife, it will show by what you do or dont do. If you do, you will allow GOD to do whatever He needs to to make sure you are ready to do the job properly. Otherwise its really about you. The test comes when things are difficult, when you really love someone it wont matter if you are in a shack (tho it gets difficult the older u get lol) or a mud hut, you simply want to be with the one that makes your heart a flutter. So this Valentines day, instead of bemoaning what you dont have or think you want, trust that you are right where you need to be for this time. Til next time. B blessed.

On the hunt for Bridesmaids dresses that are fairly modest, and age appropriate its sometimes difficult. Since I focus on the traditional and non-traditional bride, I thought this Amsale Bridemaids dress would be a good choice for the NAVY color. If you are having a wedding in winter this is a wonderful option that's understated and long. You could also use a Bolero or shawl to add some pop to the color while also more coverage, its cold out there BRRRR....

Where do you stand, and a Boundless article?

Hi everyone, im still trying to raise funds for my friend but i thought i would switch gears, www.boundless.org which is a webzine for those in the midst of the single years had an article entitled 'Your Friendgirl deserves better' It really was interesting and i hope you check it out. I was struck by it, because many many times i have been in a Pseudo relationship with a male who was not trying to 'officially' date me but we were just my friends. The problem was we spent as much time as a couple would but yet conveniently dated other people. The article states in its on way i will state in mine, the problem with this is you never make a real investment in another person this way. While the article was speaking of guys who are interested but keeping their 'friendgirls' hanging on.(.hey wasnt that a song?), it can be applied to both sexes. You really are cheating the other person out of their just due. If a person isnt good enough for you to date but good enough for you to hang around, pick up your laundry and generally other wifey duties you are like a bandit making off with a stash of 100 dollar bills.
You are getting all the benefits from the relationship and none of the baggage. OUCH! see: committment. I believe this is why the Bible says to not DEFRAUD one another, because basically you are STEALING. You need to understand what and why you are friends, dont be sad b/c i recently figured this out. The truth is, you need to not have close close friends with the opposite sex anyway, other than a brother because all that emotion, trust and bonding should be shared with your future spouse. Am I wrong? Instead of telling each other you really dig one another, you pick and choose(USE) those aspects of the person that you like and go find other people to fill up the gaps. W hat eventually happens is one person finds the one they REALLY want and then leaves you like a bucket of ice water;then someone usually ends up mad. So you have wasted money and time and somehow a loss even though you were never really dating. Its best to be real, if you like someone enough to hang out, pay the bill, otherwise dont waste time and be with someone you really want: warts and all. Remember nobody is perfect.... be a good person and be in it for the long haul, so you can let the riff raff go.
