This is great! A story of obsession (leading to a psychotic break?) but is he indeed a victim, or not? Unless the weed attack was some kind of really bad luck. (All gardeners have had this happen.) Technically, I really like how you structure the story. It has to be short, and you have to give us enough information to move the plot along, and I like how you set this up in a journal-like format. The narrator’s personality is revealed elegantly by the details of scrabble and stomach pills. I definitely feel sorry for him.

This is very good. Each time I read it, I see more layers. Has elements of Poe, and could possibly be a psychological horror story, but his creeping bindweed has now infected the dreams of his family. Another great ghost story, and I like the way you don’t detail what the “bad thing” was that the narrator did, instead focusing on the consequences.
