The thoughts of being able to choose where to sit and being able to get items from a snack bar were so enticing. The first day, I sent him to school with $2.00 (which is the cost of the regular lunch). My son decided to take full advantage of this new lunchroom freedom. He used his money to purchase a green apple slushie and a bag of chips from the snack bar for lunch. He ended up being hungry the rest of the day at school and begged for dinner to be early that night. The growling of his stomach caused the freedom of the lunchroom to lose its luster.

I have an 84 lb. black Labrador. We have been dog sitting my mother's little chihuahua for a few days. It has taken a while for the dogs to get comfortable with each other (and for me to feel comfortable given the extreme difference in their sizes). For the first few days, the chihuahua would growl and show teeth when the lab walked by. Eventually the chihuahua got over his need to try and intimidate the lab and the dogs started tolerating each other fine.

Yesterday, for some unknown reason, my lab showed his teeth at the chihuahua. We were all in my bedroom and I had the chihuahua on my bed and the lab was standing beside the bed. The dogs were sniffing each other and then out of the blue the lab showed his teeth. I immediately said "no" and removed the lab from the bedroom. I closed the door with me and the chihuahua in the bedroom and the lab on the other side of the door. About 15 minutes later I left the bedroom and discovered that my lab had decided to act like a teenager who was retaliating for being being in trouble. He had pulled both cushions off the couch in the living room, took the cushions and pillow off the chair in the TV room and chewed pieces off my son's fleece blanket. It was like he was telling me "how dare you put me in trouble....I'll show you." At least he didn't yell, tear down posters in his room and throw CD cases all over the floor like my son probably would have.
