Elk Grove Everton 96 ladies are Everton Cup Champions

On the weekend of July 10 and 11th, Elk Grove Everton hosted the girl’s side of The Elk Grove Everton Cup Tournament. The EG Everton 96 ladies began their tournament run against the Inter Rage Thunder. EG Everton ladies dominated the game but were unable to put the ball in the back of the net, 1st game EG Everton ladies 0 Thunder 3. We knew we were the better team but we had to prove it out on the field. The next game was against our counterpart on the select side of the club, the Cyclones. EG Everton ladies were up 3 to 1 at half time but the Cyclones tied it in the 2nd half.

Elk Grove Everton FC U16 Girls Win Norcal Premiere State Cup

Elk Grove Everton FC’s U16 Girls didn’t let rain or wind gusts up to 25 mph stop them. In a nail-biting game, the girls finished off their 2009/2010 season by winning the championship game in the top bracket of the 2009 Norcal Premiere State Cup.

Buena Vista: Future looking good for Tokay's Dylan Waugh

Dylan Waugh's future is looking good. The two-sport athlete recently signed
to play baseball and soccer at Buena Vista University, a small Division III
school in Storm Lake, Iowa.

"I chose (Buena Vista) because it's a great school," said Waugh, who visited
the lakeside campus during a school break last October after researching
colleges on the Internet.

U-13 GIRLS ADVANCE TO STATE CUP FINALS

After a successful opening State Cup weekend in Hanford, the EGEFC U-13 Girls had a tremendous weekend in Morgan Hill February 6th and 7th. In their Round of 16 game on Saturday, they faced a tough Mustang Freedom side that came out extremely strong, playing with heart and great confidence. As the girls from Elk Grove found their stride, they took control of the game on their way to a convincing 4-1 victory.

Elk Grove Everton Showcases Top College Soccer Prospects

This weekend the Elk Grove Everton Football Club showcased the area's top soccer prospects in a two-day Academic-Athletic event. The first annual Elk Grove Everton FC College Coaches Showcase started on Friday evening with a seminar by Sandi Allen owner of College Consulting Services, and a counselor at Franklin High School.

U-15G Disney's Soccer Showcase Updated

Elk Grove's competitive soccer club's Elk Grove Everton FC under 15 girls (EGEFC U15G) team played at the 2009 Disney World Soccer Showcase. The showcase is open only to State Cup or higher level teams. EGEFC's U15 Girls team is currently nationally ranked by GotSoccer.com as 59th in the nation and was invited to the Disney Showcase as the 2009 Northern California State Cup Finalist.

On Thursday, December 31, the Elk Grove Everton U15G's team played their first game losing 0-2 to the GSA Phoenix 95 Red, a 2009 Georgia State Cup semi-finalist, and ranked 19th in the nation.

'99 Ladies Win

The Everton White ‘99 ladies took the field on Saturday morning against California Odyssey White. Cal Odyssey found the back of the net early in the first half and held the lead into the second half. The Blues were able to level the score before scoring the game winner in the last minute of play. The 2-1 win gives the girls their first Nor Cal Premier title at the Bronze 5 level. Well played ladies!

On November 22nd 2009, the U10 Elk Grove Everton girls won the 2009 Nor Cal State Championship in Manteca Ca. This is Elk Grove’s 1st State Championship since adopting the Everton Way program.
The U10 Everton girls, coached by Ralph Cazel, started their State Cup journey back in September and achieved the ultimate success 2 months later. When it was all said and done, EG Everton beat out 79 other teams in Northern California that were all competing for the right to be crowned State Champions. This group enjoyed a similar success just last season after winning State Cup in the Premier Division, but surpassed that by leaving no prisoners and capturing the title in the Super Division.
