Another cat stitchery has been completed using the 'Blessed Cats' button pack. Complete with porcelain china dogs and a bowl of roses on the mantelpiece, sewing machine, comfy chair, fireplace, teaset and cake on the ottoman. My dream working space really.

I've provided a window sill and the mantelpiece so those of you that love the cat buttons have a opportunity to create chaos with the cats in the lounge room. Available to purchase here

Vintage Flower Girls available as Machine Embroidery

Very excited as the Vintage Flower Girls are now available on a Disc. For years I have been asked whether my work was Machine or Hand Embroidered, and I have always said its all hand done, because it was.

Well now some graduates of the Machine Embroidery College have digitized the girls and it looks like Hand Embroidery, it is truly gorgeous. The colours are very similar to the DMC colours I have used, but you can always change them to suit your fabric choices.

Here is some sneak pictures.

Suzanne is a stunner that would look great framed or in a cushion. Its almost indecent how fast they can be made.

Don't worry I'll always be making the hand embroidered samples, its just that many of the Embroiders that I meet, lack time and some are having issues with their hands or eyes but still demand perfection in their work. The girls have been tested on the most basic Machines to the Top range machines and they look like superb backstitch.

Its a little like good food with Embroidery, you take on more work than you are actually capable of sewing. Thats how it is for me.

Teaset of Crinoline Ladies

Because of my little flyer advertising the launch of the latest Stitchery Booklet called "Crinoline China" I received a very excited phonecall from an embroidery lady saying that she owns the Teaset featured.

Apparently an inherited set from a favourite relative, she was so thrilled to see the "Lavender Crinoline" featured in my booklet.

Often referred to as "Pompadour Crinoline" because of the hairdo. Sitting in her English garden complete with sundial and thatched Cottage in the background.

The embroiderers Hubby was immediately sent to photograph the beautiful collection for us all to admire.

After the phonecall, I visited the Toowoomba Antiques Gallery, Margaret St in Toowoomba and Richard Dowe has 6 trio set available at approx $65 a set, but will do a deal.

So try hunting through the Antique shops to spot the different Crinoline ladies

Sewing Charms

Had fun making little sewing related charms as gift tags for friends. This one has a antique treadle sewing machine with the word "Sewing" on the back. Approx 1"square.

This miniature sewing machine has the simple word "Sew" on its other side. Its handmade so each one is different, not perfect like jewelry at Birkbecks or mass produced in China. Framed glass with an O ring at the top.

Similiar to ones featured in "Country Style" and "Romantic Homes". I have a limited number of charms with my pen and ink drawings of Sewing Machines for $22 plus postage. Email or ring me.

Thought you might like to know what I was up to, now back to having fun with scissors and solder.

Grandmothers / Forever

A beautiful ribboned heart garland filled with roses. Softly coloured with a pink pencil, available as a pre-printed stitchery here. Would make a wonderful cushion with pale pink ric rac and shabby shic fabrics.

Just finished this stitchery on the weekend, had it on the to-do-list for ages. Very pleased with myself, now back to the cats.

Quilters Angel - Highfields. Toowoomba.

I dropped off some sample quilts to this gorgeous shop, so if you want to see the original versions of the "Vintage Miniature Sewing Machines"

"Colonial Houses" (which are all Toowoomba houses, see if you can spot which street they are in)

and the infamous "Beer Prayer" framed in fence palings complete with original moss.

then drive out for a treat to Marians wonderful shop. The food and views are arguably one of the best in Queensland, plus they have a chocolate shop, very good coffee, green grass for the kids to roll around in or take your shoes off, and so many brilliant shops in the area. This is where I like to take interstate guests, one stop shopping.

Three Classic Teapots

Just completed these 3 elegant teapots on a Linen teatowel. Worked in a stemstitch for a change as the coarser weave needed a thicker stitch. Available as a reusable Iron-on or a pre-printed stitchery piece. The Linen teatowels are also available. It was heaven to work with the pure Linen. You can find it here

Grandmother stitchery and chocolates

I haven't been idile enjoying stitching this beautiful roses in a heart stitchery about our wonderful Grandmothers. Due out when Ella has more stitching time in Air-conditioning pleasssse and watching TV.

This wonderful box of chocolates came in the mail from Joy's Craftworx in SA to thank me for all the extra goodies that I include with orders. Apparently Joy saves them as a Christmas bonus for her regular customers, so around it goes and I get to eat the rewards.

Also in the chocolate mail came a usefule nailfile that will always remind me of Joy, the saying is a bit of a worry now the credit card statements are coming in.

Now for that cuppa, chocolates and a bit of stitching, and yes the airconditioning.

POM at Craft Haven of Berwick

The girls at the Craft Haven of Berwick sent me photos of their version of the Stork Scissor POM. Its gorgeous in red and look at the adorable coloured stork scissor they give you.
