Our villa with hammock, sunbeds, private pool/beach - a paradise in short!

The staff made every effort in the details -

The beautiful beach - deserted as usual in a one week stay I saw just one group of people along this stretch just once, the weather was humid and mid thirties. We hired a golf buggy to get around the island - there are many restaurants to visit if you prefer to eat out of the villa. My favourite restaurant was the Japanese where you can see sharks waiting to be fed. I highly recommend the couples massage in a room over the ocean.

If you prefer lunch or sunbathing outside of your villa there are plenty of places to lounge/eat and sunbathe . There are two beach clubs one busier than the other depending on what your preferences are.

In terms of packing I would highly recommend lots of swimwear/maxi dresses/casuals.. at night the dress is more on the casual side - smart casual at the most. Flat shoes are a must and high heels are probably a hinderance !

Recently I took a trip to Morocco, Marrakech to be precise. I had often thought of travelling to Morocco but somehow other destinations took precedence until now..

(Royal Palm Hotel)

We considered staying in a Riad closer to the hustle and bustle of the square - which are very plain buildings on the exterior with small windows. According to our guide the locals do not like to show wealth, so from the outside a riad is very plain yet inside they open up into ornate palaces... instead we chose to stay ay the 6 star Royal Palm hotel a little further out.

The Royal Palm offers suites & Villas, we chose the Prince Villa which offers two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, pool, outside showers, two bathrooms and a dedicated butler..

The Royal Palm enjoys vast and beautiful grounds. The spa is exceptional.

The view of the Prince Villa - everything you see here forms part of one villa - another bonus of being outside of the centre is definitely the spacious accommodation

For the visit to the souk I chose a white dress with Hermes shawl & VCA jewellery

The Koutoubia mosque was constructed in the 12th century, it is right next to the square where you will find fruit sellers, men selling sips of water from a bottle they have hung around their neck dressed in national costume, snake charmers who provide photo opportunities (beware - according to my guide the snakes still have their "fangs" in and are deadly!) to shoe polishers...

Once across the square you can enter the souk, with the help of our guide we avoided the part that is very commercial (think tacky) to the real souk where locals buy metal wear, leather goods (which you can see being made) to foods, spices and the famous Moroccan oil/soaps.. One has to be careful the souk is made up of narrow passage ways and locals on bikes ride through at speed.. It was bustling, hot and hectic. I would highly recommend using a guide!

Overall I enjoyed seeing Marrakech and it is a short flight from the UK (it took us just over 2 hrs) which is a bonus..

Ms Garden Party came along for the trip onboard the jet (just seen Melissa Odabash hat)

Home for the week was a beautiful Oyster 885 boat - you can just about see the captain at the front.. the boat is staffed by the Captain, his Wife, a deckhand & a hostess who between them cater to every whim from sundowners late afternoon, dressy dinners onboard to a BBQ at the back of the boat. Below deck is another dining table for if weather is cold, a beautiful stateroom with en-suite, 4 further double rooms all en-suite and the staff quarters/kitchen/engine room which are simpler and compact.We took out paddle boards and the tender to explore local coast line..

We took the tender to the local port and visited a couple of fish restaurants, the weather was fantastic & I cannot wait to go back again...

This summer I took up clay shooting - I have a few friends who shoot and as I enjoy the challenge I thought why not give it a try... many lessons later and I simply love to shoot!

Meanwhile back in the UK last weekend I took a trip to beautiful Chatsworth in Derbyshire

Its been far too long, I know..but better late than never. Life has been very busy, my boy recently turned 4 during a trip to Paris

We enjoyed a trip to Disneyland followed by lunching and river cruising in the centre of Paris.

Since I last wrote we have been to the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque , here is my boy on the latest trip there in April.

April also saw a trip to the Atlantis hotel in Dubai

I loved the Atlantis , we enjoyed amazing weather too

A trip to the amazing Burj Khalifa, hotel Armani is situated inside - we took a drink half way up in the bar - the worlds tallest building.

Old habits died hard this week with my return back to driving a Range Rover - back to black too !

London by Heli, Monaco & new Winter additions

It feels like I haven't blogged in ages ! I have simply been busy, I enjoyed a wonderful trip to London recently, via heli landing in Battersea, lunch at Zafferinos we stayed at the Hotel Corinthia ... my all black So Kelly is featured above enjoying the heli ride !

Then onto a girls trip to Monaco, which is kind of tradition now - a child free tradition I don't want to break anytime soon... the weather was amazing

Onto my Winter additions:-

I have held off from buying a Vitamix 750 for a while, I have always used KitchenAid small appliances before - I took the plunge however and do not regret it. Incredibly powerful, making the smoothest of smoothies, soups and it is self cleaning - a miracle !

New Winter boots, over the knee Jimmy Choo, Jimmy Choo buckle biker boots and Isabel Marant suede boots with an all important hidden wedge - all available in the shops now

I have a red carpet to walk soon and my custom made gown has arrived in time after taking some months to be made - complete with train, I cannot wait to wear this illusion beaded gown

As my home practice in yoga is increasing I am finding I have less time to blog/go online.... (leggings Black Milk, top Lululemon)

Shopping more for the latest workout/yoga wear leaves me with less time to shop for the rest of my closet, but thats ok since I am now wearing yoga pants more than ever ! (top AW14 Sweaty Betty, pants same)

I am now back from my intensive Vinyasa Flow yoga retreat... a month of yoga

7.30am-8pm at night , no days off ! Above wearing Teeki Fall 14 pants, Purusha People top, Tiny Devotions (Gypset Goddess) Mala, Purevida bracelets & Rock N Rose flower crown

Plenty of places to relax / meditate / practice yoga within the resort

Yoga - a lifetime to fully explore all of the 8 limbs and to put into practice..Dymnamic Vinyasa Flow is an athletic type of yoga, fluid, elegant - it came to the UK with Californian Mercedes Ngoh who I have practiced with, she studied under Shiva Rea.

I am due to practice with internationally renowned Kino Macgregor who primarily teaches Ashtanga Yoga (Vinyasa Flow came from Ashtanga) & Kerri Verna.

As I previously mentioned I attend yoga classes most days and sometimes 2 a day! I was honoured to be able to take part in this immersion. I was able to experience so much from gong meditations,mudra lessons, meditation lessons, history of yoga lessons, breath, anatomy, sanskrit, to practicing with an amazing internationally renowned teacher

Back stronger and more flexible than ever, with headstands. forearm stands perfected, a stronger self practice... life has just been otherwise engaged lately.. Elle x

I cannot believe it has been about three months since my last blog post. Thank you for your continuing support/comments ! As a mum to a boy who just ( a few weeks ago) celebrated his 3rd birthday (in Paris where else?!) I decided to take some time out to concentrate on my boy and on family life. My son celebrated at Disneyland Paris and then we went onto the centre of Paris...(above wearing dress by Issa)

I have also been immersing myself in lots of yoga which has become a huge passion of mine, I am practicing with internationally acclaimed Kino Macgregor, Mercedes Ngoh and Claire Missingham.

In a few weeks I will be taking an intensive 200hr Yoga immersion in a beautiful retreat - I look forward to sharing some of the photo's from my experience with you.

Elle's Collection will shortly be launching new scarf rings so watch this space for those - there are some really eye catching rings to come, most of which are reversible with a different colour at the back.

I am thrilled that Cate Blanchett won her 2nd Oscar last night for her performance in Blue Jasmine, I think Cate looks simply breathtaking in the Armani gown she wore, oozing with old Hollywood glamour

By request : How to dress up a bag

How to secure a twilly in a slide free method to cover the handle of a bag.

Place one end of the twill along the handle of your bag

Whilst holding the end firmly in place, start winding the twilly around the handle - keep going!

When you reach the end create a loop

Pull the pointed end of the twilly through the loop

Tighten, et Voila! A dressed up bag, particularly good for light colored bags

to protect the handles from darkening

Today is market day in my local village, strolling around it is always an enjoyable way to spend time at the weekend - DS loves going too.

The artisan market sells handmade items and local farm produce, artisan food and delicatessen. A stall called "French Corner" sells beautiful breads & baguettes

Some stalls sell hot food/drinks to go (above is the crepe stall). Market goers tend to be in high spirits, it is a lovely and charming atmosphere.

The colour and abundance of fresh produce is a feast for the eyes.

A brand I like very much is Chanel, I owned classic flaps before any Birkin or Kelly bag. I like the black and white simpleness of Chanel - I like the RTW, shoes, Jewellery, Belts although I am yet to buy a Chanel scarf...(above wearing Vince silk top, Chanel jacket, Gerard Darel pencil cut trousers, Etoupe Constance belt & Tom Ford nail polish no. 11 with YSL Le Orange lipstick)

I want to share with you Frends headphones which I bought today, this model is the smaller Layla named after Eric Claptons hit. They are very high quality with the softest leather and interchangeable decorative plates. They have to be the best looking headphones I have ever seen! This pair was bought from Matches in London. Ideal for any Apple lover, they work with iPhone, iPad & iPod. Sound wise the quality is excellent. Available in a larger size and they even offer a decorative in ear option too.
