Eloqua provides Social capabilities, where you can promote your campaign by using Social Media. Also you can get leads into Eloqua by allowing them to register for the campaign you are running.

Above diagram talks about what come with ELOQUA Social Suite:

Build Awareness: amplify social messages directly in marketing campaigns
Engage: encourage prospects to connect with you socially and share your content
Enrich: augment existing contact records with social identities and activities
Measure: track the impact your social efforts are having on campaigns

In this Article, I am going to talk about – How do we create a Campaign which will allow people to register them using Facebook.

Step-1: Create a Form

I want to create a new Page, so I will click on "Create a Form":

Next I will choose a Blank Template:

Once I select Blank Template your form will be created and HTML Name will be assigned to your page. Next you need to click on Contact Fields from left selection pane:

Once you click on Contact Filed you will get List of all Contact attribute shown in the "Contact Fields" pop up. From here you can drag and drop all the fields, which you want to use on the form:

I have selected only few fields which I want to capture from Facebook and would like to either update for existing contact or create for new contact and saved the form as shown below:

After Saving Form you need to add actions which you want to perform once form is submitted. In this example I want to either update existing Contact Data or want to create contact data and to do this I need to click on Processing and then need to add below condition:

NOTE - Form will create a new record or will update an existing contact that is decided by the

Field which you select under General Section. In my Example I want this to be driven by Email

Address, so I have selected Email Address in this example.

At the end click on Save and then Click on Design.

Your Step-1 is completed and your Form will be in Draft Mode till the time this is used in one of the Active Campaign.

Step-2: Create a Landing Page

Click on Assets >> Landing Page

Click on Create a Landing Page

Select Blank Landing Page

Once you selected Landing page, the first thing you need to do is select a microsite:

I have selected a microsite called CK and now I can select Cloud Content from left Pane to Add Facebook - Register

Drag and Drop Facebook - Register cloud content to landing page

After you Drop you will see below screen:

Next you need to configure Facebook - Register. To do so you need to double click on Facebook - Register added to the Landing page. Once you double click on this, you will be asked to login to Eloqua cloud connector (if you do not have cloud connector account then you need to create this by going to - https://cloudconnectors.eloqua.com/). I had this account for me so I can provide my details and can connect through below screen to move forward:

Once you login you will be taken to next page where you need to confirm your Eloqua Credentials and then you need to click on Go button to move on:

Once you click on Go, you will be directed to Facebook - Register Set Up page where you need to add following details:

         Note:
           1. You must have an API enabled account to modify configuration.
           2. Eloqua DB, Eloqua Credentials and Component Owner will be pre populated.
           3. Facebook App to Use -- Select Eloqua Cloud Connector
           4. Eloqua Form -- Here you need to select Name of the Form, which you have created in
               Step-1 ( Form Names will automatically Appear in the Drop down, you just need to pick
               correct name which you have created).

          5. Form Submit Mode -- Set this to Production

          6. Form Filed Mapping -- This is a place where you can map what all fields on Contact
              object you want to be populated with Attributes Returned from Facebook. In this example I
             am mapping following fields (To Map fields -- First click on Save Setting and then click on
              Map Field button):

Click on Set Values to Close the Map Filed page and then click on Save Settings and then click on Preview:

          You can click on "Log in to Prefill the form below with your profile information". Once you
         click on this it will take you to Facebook login page as shown below and once you login your
         information will be populated from Facebook:

After Preview you can close Preview Window and then you can close Register Setup window and then Save the Landing Page.

Your Step-2 is completed and your Landing Page will be in Draft Mode till the time this is used in one of the Active Campaign.

Step-3: Create Email

In order to create email you need to perform following steps:

Go to Assets >> Emails:

To Create a New Email - Click on --> Create an Email:

Select Blank Email:

Next you need to Select Email Group from Drop Down. Add Subject Line for email and then add From Name and From Email Address as highlighted in below screen:

Next you can define email body. For this example I am defining plain email with Email Body as shown below ( To do so just click on Text in the left Pane and then add text):

Next you would like to link your email to Landing Page. In this example I will link "Register Now!!" text in Email Body to Landing page. To do so highlight "Register Now!!" and then right click and select "Enable as Hyperlink" as shown below:

Now from "Hyperlink Tools - Text" pop up, select Link Type as "Landing Page", Landing Page as "The Landing Page which you have created in Step-2" and Link Hover Text as "whatever you want". Example shown below:

Close "Hyperlink Tools - Text" pop up and Save Email.

Your Step-3 is completed and your Email will be in Draft Mode till the time this is used in one of the Active Campaign.

Step-4: Create Segment

In this step we will create a simple Segment to target contacts. To do this you can perform following steps:

Go to Contacts >> Segments:

To create new Segment - Click on Create a Segment:

Select - Blank Segment:

Next select Filter Criteria as shown below:

Once you click on Filter Criteria you will see in right Pane you get multiple options on which you can define your conditions for Filter. In this email I am using simple condition on - "Compare Contact Fields", where I am defining filter for a Email Address of Contact as shown below:

Save the Segment:

Your Step-4 is completed and your Segment will be in Draft Mode till the time this is used in one of the Active Campaign.

Step-4: Create Campaign

This is your last Step, where you will create a Campaign using all the objects you have created from Step-1 to Step-4 and then will make it Active.
Here are the steps you need to follow:

Click on Campaign:

To create a New Campaign - Select - Create a Campaign:

Select - Blank Campaign:

Next you need to drag Segment, Email, Form and Landing Page Objects on Campaign Canvas from Left Pane as shown below:

Once you drag and drop:

Pick Segment you have created in Step-4. To do this double click on Segment Members and pick the Segment you have created from the drop down:

Pick Email you have created in Step-3. To do this double click on Email and pick the Email you have created from the drop down:

Pick Form you have created in Step-1. To do this double click on Form and pick the Form you have created from the drop down:

Pick Landing Page you have created in Step-2. To do this double click on Landing Page and pick the Landing Page you have created from the drop down:

Connect Segment to Email:

You do not need to join Form and Landing Page. They will be automatically connected once
you save Campaign.

Save Campaign

Activate Campaign - Click on Activate button to Activate Campaign and follow instructions:

Email will be sent to contact who was added into Segment.
