Our world is becoming increasingly shaped by technology. It it all around us: in our digital lives and in the physical spaces we move through every day. Sometimes it’s easy to spot – think of traffic lights, street lamps, metro gates, or security cameras – but often it fades into the background. So much of it has become part of everyday life that we hardly notice it anymore. The technological city is still all around us.

Join our walk The technological city on July 2 during Waag Open. Using a route map, you’ll walk through different places in the neighborhood and explore how technology has become part of everyday life in the city. What data do you leave behind as you move through the city? Who is watching? Which systems quietly shape what happens in public space? And is a city full of technology equally accessible to everyone?

The walk invites you to look at your surroundings in a new way and reflect on the role of technology in the city. Together we explore the question: what kind of technological world do we want to live in? — Come walk us!

We zijn aangekomen in een tijdperk waar het tempo van technologische ontwikkelingen razendsnel gaan. Als je de lijstjes met AI tools afgaat, wordt je gek. En als je een planning en budget bepaalt hebt, haalt de realiteit je al in.

Laat je niet gek maken door de guru’s, zij hebben ook geen idee wat jij nodig hebt. In plaats daarvan, ga je af op je menselijke waarden. Dus vraag je niet af wat AI kan, maar focus op de mens.

IFA is the world’s largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show.

IFA has been running since 1924 and as we celebrate 99 years, it is important to look to the past to see where we have come and how IFA has been at the centre of technology and innovation.

Since 1924, IFA has been the platform for tech launches, showcasing detector devices, tube radio receivers, the first European car radio and colour TV. From Albert Einstein opening the show in 1930 to the launch of the first video recorder in 1971, IFA Berlin has been integral to the transformation in technology, bringing together industry pioneers and innovative products all under one roof.

AI loves HR brings together a carefully selected group of senior HR leaders working at the intersection of people, organization and AI.

De derde editie van Cybersec Netherlands, de vakbeurs voor cybersecurity professionals, trok 4.300 bezoekers. Dat is een groei van 45% ten opzichte van 2024. Voor het eerst vond de beurs gelijktijdig plaats met Data Expo, de vakbeurs voor data- en AI-oplossingen en data-driven innovatie, die ruim 6.200 bezoekers verwelkomde. Een groei van 38.3% ten opzichte van de editie van 2024. Samen ontvangen beide evenementen meer dan 10.000 experts op het gebied van data, AI en cybersecurity. Twee dagen lang vormt Koninklijke Jaarbeurs het ontmoetingspunt voor beide vakgebieden.

HumanX, het toonaangevende internationale AI-evenement, breidt uit naar Europa. De organisatie achter evenementen als Money20/20, Shoptalk en HLTH lanceert HumanX EMEA: een nieuwe internationale bijeenkomst die plaatsvindt van 22 tot en met 24 september 2026 in RAI Amsterdam. Na een sterke positie te hebben opgebouwd als hét platform van AI-strategie, -toepassing en sectoroverstijgende samenwerking in de Verenigde Staten, brengt HumanX zijn bewezen formule nu naar Europa. De uitbreiding volgt op de snelle groei van HumanX in de VS, waar de volgende editie in San Francisco van 6 tot 9 april 2026 meer dan 6.000 deelnemers, 350 sprekers, 400 leveranciers en ruim 300 mediapartijen van over de hele wereld verwacht. Tijdens eerdere HumanX-edities waren onder meer Mike Krieger (CPO bij Anthropic), Kevin Weil (OpenAI), en de CEO’s van Databricks, Snowflake, Mistral en Synthesia aanwezig.
