Description: The painting signifies lifes struggle and the good which comes with it too. A silent lighthouse failing to show light to a ship caught in choppy seas with a huge rock jutting out in front. The ship with all its masts up trying to manouvre but failing to see the rock reaches quite close and is now trying to avoid it. The palm trees on shore are struggling to hold themselves. The lighthouse but protects a few houses behind it on the shore. Waves hit the shore and the rocks signifying life's struggle. The palm trees struggles shows that one has to be flexible and humble to live through life. The lighthouse is a symbol of the good that we expect to happen but may not always come by. The very people we expect to stand by us may not do so. But the ships mast up and flying high are a symbol of never say die attitude that one needs to carry with self to make it today. Also the evenly lit skies show that hope is still alive and life will go on

Description: 'Moon Light' in an oil on plywood painting. I painted this after visiting Himachal in India few years back. The sight of the moon rising from behind a naked tree with no leaves in the winter and snowy hills was a sight to watch. Also the Beas river running past really excited me to paint this one. I chose ply to paint on as I wanted the rugged image to signify the beauty that is in nature. Also the ruggedness with the calm and poise really highlighted the beauty of the image.

Description: 'Eden and Eve' is a painting which I did after reading the Genesis from the Bible. It signifies all the good and bad which makes up the world and in fact brought about the world. The snake though seemingly evil is a force which is within each of us and it is for us to respect it. Eve on the other hand is a symbol of all that is beautiful but could go so wrong. The woods stand for the worlds twisted ways and stormy water stands a symbol for life itself. Thus we need to know that life is beautiful but needs the strength and will power to cross its twisted paths. The snake may be around Eve but its the strength of life is needed to muster the courage.

Description: 'Chestnut Ride' is an acrylic on canvas painting I did as I love horses. Horses symbolise loyalty, strength, stature, pride and focus. A chestnut horse with a white patch on forehead is something that I would want to own some day. They dont make many like these. I chose acrylic as I find it to be a medium which gives the best effect especially for the colors I wanted. I painted it a few months back around Feb 2009 and since all my friends have praised it.

Description: 'Calm Rise' is a painting done on plywood. The texture of ply along with smoothening with lappam helped the painting achieve its magic. The sun rising from dark waters from behind the woods is symbolic of good over evil, of strength over weakness, of patience over impulsiveness. I got inspired to paint this after a holiday in Kerala where an early morning rise in periyar helped me catch this event. The water flowing smoothly but in strong current to the right shows that one needs the courage, patience, humility and strength to move towards lifes goals and towards the righ path.
