Booking the Wedding Reporter for our wedding (or should I say weddings?!) was one of the best decisions we made. Emma attended both our small registry office wedding and our big festival, outdoor wedding two days later, and wrote the most beautiful report of our special days. She captured so much and many things I didn’t even know happened on the day. We now have the most beautiful story of our wedding (beautiful bound) to treasure forever and share with our children. I’d love to read it as a family each year on our anniversary to help keep the special memories in all of our minds.

Emma blends into a wedding day perfectly and is super professional. She captures so many wonderful details and beautifully describes the emotions. Having a wedding report to go with your photographs really does make for a perfect combination.

I met up with Anthony & Nicole at the end of March for their London engagement shoot in Regent’s Park. The sun was shining and the blossom was everywhere. It was a very beautiful day for making memories.

I am really looking forward to capturing Anthony and Nicole’s Wedding in May.

This is one of (if not the) most precious family shoot I’ve ever shot. My dear friends Charis and Owen were my very first wedding clients. Charis and I went to school together, so have been friends for a very long time. Last year they were our wedding photographers too. Just a few weeks ago baby Florrie was born and while we were on holiday in Pembrokeshire last week I got to shoot their first family session in the very same garden where I shot their wedding portraits all those years ago!

Darling Florrie, we all fell in love with you last week and are so happy we got to meet you when you were still so little. We can’t wait for more adventures with you as your grow. You have a super duper mummy and daddy. Life is going to be very fun and full of love! xxx

I have been thinking a lot about my inspiration recently. I’ve been asked about it for a few interviews etc. and I thought a lot about it during my teaching earlier this month too. I think it’s important to think about where your inspiration comes from on a regular basis. As an artist it’s easy to get stuck in a rut. As a mother it’s easy to be too busy with the every day routine and looking after my small children. Sometimes it’s all too easy to do the same old stuff. But with the coming of a new season, the changes I’m making to my business, my new blog and my improving work/life balance I have been thinking about inspiration a lot. I’ve needed some time to reflect and make sure I am actually being inspired!
My children continue to inspire me every single day. Looking at life with fresh eyes is just amazing. So many questions, so many observations, so much wonder. And such a fabulous ability to be completely in the moment.
I have also had the wonderful opportunity to take two courses (already!) this year. I took Your Darling Blog course in January/February, which was a really inspiring design course. I wrote about it on The Start-Up Wife. And now I’m part way through Blogging from the Heart, which is quite simply beautiful. I will write more about it when I’ve finished the course but it makes my heart sing and affirms that what I’m doing over here is a good thing!
And then there is all the beautiful blossom, the blue skies, the sun, yellow, Instagram, Sweet Paul, this book, pink, fabric in my overflowing sewing box, the promise of summer and Roller Journal.

What’s inspiring you at the moment?

These beautiful flowers were give to me by Miss Pickering for my Wedding Workshop on Sunday. Despite the horrible, cold weather, my seven students had a great shoot in Central London thanks to the lovely Tarah and Nathan. And before the shoot we spent a few hours talking business, creativity, inspiration, mistakes, learning, planning and a whole lots more. I remembered just how much I love to teach. Although that was my last official wedding workshop, there will be more workshops coming later this year. I have lots of ideas flowing and just need a moment to work out how to put them into workshops to share with you. Watch this space!
