Hope you all are good! Illamasqua debuts on EMBB today. :P I am reviewing Illamasqua’s much talked about product today, their cream pigment, I am reviewing the Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Androgen today.

Product Claim :

This advanced formulation provides additional adhesion and colour-intensification when applied before Powder Eye Shadow and Pure Pigment. The product can be used sheer or built to full coverage. Apply with a longer bristle brush to achieve a sheer colour and texture payoff whereas selecting a flat brush will deposit more colour density and texture payoff.

This intensely colour-rich, matt and crease-resistant formula has been designed for use on the face, eyes, lips and body. Apply with an Illamasqua brush or simply use your fingers for a buildable, water-resistant, highly pigmented finish.

Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Androgen retails at 110 AED and it is available at Areej Beauty Stores across the region. You get a generous 8g of the product.

You get 8 shades to pick from.

Packaging :

Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Androgen comes in a plastic VERY ILLAMASQUA packaging, the square winged container, is a show stealer. It has this pop up cap which can be popped off with the nail.

My Thoughts On The Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Androgen :

Frankly this is my first ever rub with the brand. I have read and seen their products in action just over the screen, and trust me, Adrogen was one of those products which I have been lusting over since EVER. Basically Androgen came out with Illamasqua’s Theatre Of The Nameless collection, it is one of the best sellers by the brand in the respective category.

Summers and cream product do not go hand in hand I agree, but with me it is the reverse case. My skin craves for liquid-cream foundations, more of those liquid and cream blushes and even more cream eyeshadows, I mean at least as a base :P , hence I have been using the Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Adrogen ALOTTT lately. Read ALOTTT, or this is the only product I use over my lips and blush.

And summer being here already, I say the bright colors are out again at my vanity and this one is no exception.

Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Adrogen is a bright neon-y ornage/peach/pink/coral shade. It is more of those peachy corals. You decide,

It is a cream product, but then looks to be very tough on the pan, but it amazingly melts when you rub your finger to use the product.

It is a 3-in-1 kind of product, hence it can be used over the eyes, lips and face. I prefer using my fingers followed by a stippling brush when I use it as a blush. I use my fingers for applying it to the eyes and lips. It performs beautifully wherever you apply it however you apply it.

For instance, it’s one of the best eyeshadow bases I have ever use, I do not say it creases when used alone, but it varies on your skin type too. For lips, it is thick and opaque and matte, hence you would need a balm beneath or a gloss above to work it out, but it is such a gorgeous color to pout with. I love using it as a blush the most, the color it imparts to the cheeks is beyond gorgeous. And since I am an anyone can wear any color kind of person, I do not see skintone being a obstruction with ladies trying it out.

The packaging remains, easy and non messy, it enables brushes of any size and shape reach the product easily without wastage. Also you throw it in your bag and you are rest assured your pen won’t stick into it easily. :P

The formula, being a cream product, I was concerned with its staying power and touch up requirements. With the sun , products tend to slip of your skin like they were never there, this is an exception, I mean this would definitely last on your skin for a minimum of 5 hours no matter how oily or greasy your skin is. TRUST ME.

The pigmentation , do I even need to say anything here after you see the swatches? SERIOUSLY?

I do not see any flaw with the product.

Illamasqua Cream Pigment In Androgen is definitely a must have from the cream pigment range. You would find a lot of dupes for the shade, but trust me this one is one of its kinds. You would enjoy using it. It is definitely one of my current loves!!

Hope you all are having a relaxed Saturday!! Blogging from the couch is certainly the best thing in the world. Anyhow, the week starts tomorrow which means gazillion new things to work out and a gazillion more things to schedule and finalize. Let’s leave tomorrow to tomorrow and get to post, I have reviewed Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Glosses in 2 shades HERE and HERE, today I thought of sharing just another shade from the same range, it is the Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss In Dare .

I have had a nude glazed shade which I reviewed HERE and a deep bright red which you can see HERE, from the Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss range, so I thought a pink one too deserves its chance (although Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss In Dareisn’t a complete “PINK”), so here’s the Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss In Dare .

I won’t really get into the details that a review entails, since you guys have already red my verdict on this range of glosses before. This one fares the same as the other 2 did, in terms of pigmentation, stay ability, and affordability.

As far as the color goes, Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss In Dare is a ruby red glazed with pink, purple and silver shimmer. The pink and purple shimmer gives the red color a pink tint, making it look like a purple-magenta shade.

This shade shall certainly brighten up any and every skintone, and shall suit every lady who picks it. And do not worry , and trust me, this wont age your skin. Like some dark shades are meant to make you look old and mature.

Now there are 2 ways of making a color which you other wise thing won’t work for you,
• Mix and match – you mix the shade with another shade to club them both to perfection, and suit your skin tone.
• Blot – This is one guaranteed tip, wear a dark color as a stain and layer the lighter shades. Blotting with a tissue helps you achieve both of these.

The shimmers in this one, may seem a little overwhelming but trust me on application it just subsides and isn’t OTT kinds. This shimmer shall plump your lips the right way and shall provide appropriate glitz to the pout.

I love wearing this shade, when everything on my face is understated, or even when I just want to kick start the day. :P A kohl and Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss In Dare , is all you need to get the wrong people on the right side, and the right people on the wrong side. :P

I think, I love the formulation these glosses have, I love the fact that they comes in those “ AFFORDABLE” price tags.

Let me tell you before you see it yourself, today would be a LIP PRODUCT DAY on EMBB. :P I have co incidentally scheduled all lip product features and reviews for you all today. So sit back and enjoy. I am reviewing one of the products from Loccitane’s latest collection today, the Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss. It is a unique product yet exciting product. So read on to find more.

Product Claims :
This original duo combines two beauty essentials in one conveniently sized tube. The Roll On contains the Pivoine Délicate Eau de Toilette with notes of sweet flowers and soft powder. The Lip Gloss melts onto lips, coating them with a pearly radiant shine. This duo, perfectly sized to keep in your handbag, is a must for touch-ups throughout the day!

No parabens, No alcohol, No BHA, No BHT, No EDTA, No formol or formaldehyde, No lanoline, No phenoxyethanol, No phtalates, No silicone, No triclosan

Ingredients :
Gloss: – Natural Peony extract – Ricinus oil plant and grapeseed oil – Vitamins E & C – Blend of pure oils – Vegetable origin oily gel – Softening – Nourish the lips, optimize the colour shine – Antioxydant – Maximum shine effect
EDT: – 10% concentrated Perfumed base – Alcohol : participates to the perfume lasting – Peony extract from the South of France – Pale pink shade

Application Tips :
The roll-on is to be applied on pulse point (neck, wrists). The gloss is to be applied on the lips wih the moss applicator for a perfect outline definition.

Packaging :

Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss comes in a dual ended glass tube.

One side you get a gloss with a moss applicator and the other side has a roll on perfume on the other side. Pretty and an unusual combo!!

My Thoughts On The Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss :

I seriously never thought of a gloss and perfume combo, I always took both of them to belong to 2 different categories, but with Loccitane, anything and everything seems possible. :P They both these both in one tube which is like WOW, atleast for a makeup and perfume hoarder like me.

The lipgloss is a peachy beige lip color with fine golden shimmer. I dare not to wear it alone, since it is almost WHITE, but I do layer it up with nude shades and it also helps me with toning down my bright and deep shades. This could be the ideal nude lipgloss , if you are looking for one, even though it is milky and white you could always top it on some shades whose colors need to be washed away.

As far as the roll on, on the other end is concerned, I cannot put it in words, how YUMMMMMM it smells. Sniff the screen and you’d get to know how it smells. :P I wish I could do that seriously.

The texture of the gloss is extremely creamy and thick. Since it is thick, and has a pretty good pigmentation. It is thick enough to cover pigmented lips.

It has a slight vanilla scent which I basically prefer in all my lip products.

Swatches :

The roll on perfume, captures the subtle aura of the peony, a flower with a thousand petals, in a generous floral perfume marked with green freshness. A luxurious roll-on for fragrant touch-ups throughout the day. The Peony is a symbol of beauty and femininity. Every spring, when it comes into bloom, it puts on a dazzling show of colors and scents.

The Limited Edition Pivoine Délicate Eau de Toilette celebrates the most tender garden Peony, with its pastel shades and large, luscious petals. This fragrance blends the delicateness of Peony petals with the fresh green scents of rose and Lily of the Valley. Made with a Peony extract from the Drôme region of France, this fragrance has a luminous floral accord with a soft powdery trail.

In simple words, the roll on is perfect for people who love fruity and floral fresh scents, like me. SUMMER PERFECT, I can say, since it won’t really stoke you in the head neither will it make you smells like a honey dipped strawberry maple macaroon. :P The scent keeps lingering around, and has a prominent presence whole day through. It is fresh yet delicate, a very rare play of scent notes.

The packaging is something which stole the show, I mean someone like me never could think that I could get a perfume and gloss in one go! SERIOUSLY. I like how sturdily both the products are fitted, and you are always assured of that nothing could spill or break and leave your handbag sticky and goopy.

What’s to LOVE about the Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss :

• 2 products for the price of one
• Both of them shall last you for a while
• The gloss isn’t sticky , and very light weighted even whilst it is thick and creamy and hydrating
• Stays on for about 2-3 hours, and doesn’t leave behind shimmer or glitter while fading
• The shimmer and glitter isn’t OTT
• Has a bearable vanilla scent
• Great as a NUDE shade, and pigmented gorgeously to cover pigmented lips
• The roll on , smells DIVINE. I love it!!
• Stays on for the whole day
• Handy and travel friendly, the applicator for the gloss is good. :)

What’s to HATE about the Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss :

Nothing!! Except that they should have considered getting in a few more shades and colors.

Final Verdict :
Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Duo Eau De Toilette And Gloss is a great concept, for ladies on the go. A great handbag material. I love the perfume and gloss concept. Totally worth a try, and it is a limited edition, so get your hands over it ASAP.

With summers, makeup NEEDS a change of course; I have been indulging in my ORANGE phase yet again. My Thoughts About the Bourjois Effet 3D Volume And Shine Elixir Gloss in 53 Corail Artistic:

I have 3 shades from this range, and this is brightest. I am living in my ORANGE nail enamel from Bourjois which I reviewed HERE and ORANGE lipsticks, let’s not even get there. I find this shade exactly corresponding with this nail enamel, check the shade HERE.

I find Bourjois Effet 3D Volume And Shine Elixir Gloss in 53 Corail Artistic, a bit red, and apt for the punch of color you need on a HOT SUMMER DAY. The consistency of the gloss is not very thick, but decently pigmented.

Bourjois Effet 3D Volume And Shine Elixir Gloss in 53 Corail Artistic has a glass wand with a super soft brush. It picks up the product nicely and application with it, goes on smoothly with it.

Bourjois Effet 3D Volume And Shine Elixir Gloss in 53 Corail Artistic has a matte finish. So this makes it a good day wear understated malta shade.

The pigmentation is quiet decent, but you definitely layer it up if you have pigmented lips.

It has a mild coconut-y scent which isn’t overwhelming and quiet likable.

The staying power of the Bourjois Effet 3D Volume And Shine Elixir Gloss in 53 Corail Artistic is like for 2-3 hours after that it does go a little invisible, but for a gloss touch ups is like MANDATORY.

It has a pretty hydrating formula which keeps the lips hydrated and soft.

It’s not sticky and proves to be a comfortable wear. Also it has a very light texture which definitely plumps up the lips making the pout gorgeous and pretty.

I do not find a FLAW with the product, and I would recommend this shade if you are looking for a nice malta shade for summers, this will make you regular orangey pout a little more pretty and glossy.

Hope you all are doing fantastic. The weekend is ALMOST here. A breezer, yeaaaahhhhh!!Anyhow,I showed you my Bobbi Brown Haul , HERE, so this week I shall be reviewing it out for you all. Today I would be talking about the Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation.

This portable oil-free compact foundation is great for normal to oily and oily skin types on the go. Easily blendable for long lasting true color with full coverage. Comes with a compact sponge for easy application.

Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation comes in a classy glossy black sturdy packaging. It is HUGEEEE in size. LIKE HUGE!!!! You get a considerably big mirror in there , and also a applicator sponge. The foundation is embedded safely in the casing.

My Thoughts On The Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation :
With summers, my otherwise well behaved combination skin turns to get oilier and greasier at the T zone. And you BET you know how worse the Summers here get with each passing month!! So my experiments with foundations continue and this time I thought that I should take a plunge into the Bobbi Brown world. I read reviews and saw videos and did every bit which could support my splurge and finally went ahead to the store to find out this beauty. I was opting for a liquid foundation initially but the “OIL FREE” thing with this one, SOLD itself to me. :P

The SA was extremely patient with all my queries and she went ahead and asked me to try this out. The shade which suited me the most is the Warm Natural 4.5 , atleast this is my summer shade and my base makeup also tends to oxidize the most in this season so I thought it would be wise to go with a shade which matches me exactly or may be which is a tad lighter to my own skin color.  I found this shade to have a right blend of pink and yellow undertones, although it does appear a tad more yellower.

Hence Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation was bought and do not forget to see the other stuff I bought from Bobbi Brown HERE.

Texture :

Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation has a creamy texture and has a semi matte finish. This has a powder finish.

How Do I Apply It :
I use my fingers to pat it on my skin and then use a brush to blend it in. I use the sponge applicator just to touch up and blend the product.

What’s to LOVE about the Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation :

• Packaging. I know it is HUGEEEEEE in size but it is sturdy and definitely travel friendly
• A huge shade range to choose from. All the skin tones from the lightest to the darkest should easily find their match with this range
• Blends easily
• Has a powdery finish. I see it as an advantage since it helps soak up all the oil and keep greasiness at bay
• Has a good staying power. It stays on my skin like for 7-8 hours, with compact powder touch ups
• Silica is a content which means it does help the oil-combination skin types
• Didn’t break me out
• Buildable coverage. You can actually have a light uniform base or simply build it up to a nice full coverage base
• Feels very light on the skin
• Has a natural flawless finish, a semi matte one
• Grips up the blush and other jazz, making them last longer and firmer
• I skip my concealer most of the times with this one and just dab on some extra bit of the product on the required area
• The quantity you get for the price is decent enough to last you for about 4-6 months with everyday usage. This stuff doesn’t really budge if you apply it with anything other than the sponge
• It keeps oil and grease at bay for about 5-6 hours
• Photographs well
• Doesn’t cake

What’s to HATE about the Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Compact Foundation :

• Oily skin ladies would HATE it, atleast my MOM does. She says it slides away from her skin and produces extra oil on her face.
• It will OXIDISE on the oilier types of skin, it does on my mothers.
• Transfers onto mobile screens and tissues
• Won’t really last on the TRUE oily skin types
• My skin tends to get shiny after 5-6 hours of using it
• Has no SPF
• Won’t cover up heavy scars, blemishes and acne

Final Verdict :
Although I am satisfied with my purchase, I do not think the PURELY oil skinned ladies, like my mother would really like this stuff. I am a little over the fence in buying this again, although I do not HATE it. I would definitely try the liquid versions of Bobbi Brown foundations. I loved the finish this has and how it controls oil, but then I think it would just be apt for combination skinned ladies like me and the OILY skinned ladies won’t really enjoy this product.

Today I am reviewing a new base coat for you all, I have been using the OPI base coat since forever, but Sally Hansen has been the most raved about brand when it comes to a base coat. So a try was a must. So here are my views on the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat.

Up to 90% smoother looking nails, instantly*
A gel-like base coat, that smoothes ridges and imperfections for salon results at home. The results? Smooth, beautiful nails, salon-perfect color application.

- Biotin & Spirulina enriched formula fills ridges evenly
- Hardens weak nails and adds density to thin nails to help prevent splitting

Application Tips :
Apply 1 coat to bare nails. Wear alone or under color

My Thoughts On The Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat :
Basically, I am too lazy to go on for a base coat and then apply the nail enamel. But then I noticed that the shine on my nails was wearing off with my regular nail abuse with different nail paints. So I thought it’s high time I get myself get off my laziness and take special efforts in preserving my natural nail shine.

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat claims to fill ridges and strengthens the nail bed.

It has no DBP, Toulene and Formaldehyde.

The texture of the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat is gelish. It spreads out smoothly on the nails and dries up within seconds.

The formula also has biotin which is found in pearls and spirulina enriched, with self leveling action, which fills the ridges evenly. It also hardens weak nails and adds density to thin nails to help prevent splitting. Even finish grips color.

What’s to LOVE about the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat :

• Thick consistency. It’s almost a gel.
• Smoothes out evenly on the nail bed
• Dries instantly
• Holds up the color

• Avoid nail enamel from chipping, fading and cracking. Keeps upto all its claims.
• Strengthens the nails, I can mention that since it helps my nails from chipping and has made her nails considerably hard and strong
• Keeps the shine from fading and decreasing
• Keeps the nails from staining
• Enables smooth application on the enamel

What’s to HATE about the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat :

NOTHING. Just that Sally Hansen needs to retail out at more places.

Final Verdict :
Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth and Strong Base Coat is a transparent base coat, which looks nice even on its own!! I mean I like having plain manicured shiny nails some times, so I slather it up and I am good to go. I think I would be switching between my OPI base coat and this one. It’s a pretty decent base coat.

Hey there ladies,
Hope you all are doing well and making your dreams come true. I believe a great lip color can completely change your look from sweet and simple to classic and sophisticated. Even women who not tend to wear a lot of makeup don’t go out without a lipstick and some mascara. There are so many brands coming out with so many lipsticks and lipgosses with fancy names and assuring the consumers that this is the best they will ever find. But I am always up for trying something new and unique where comes the product I’d like to discuss today. It’s the very famous Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters that came out few months ago and got a whole lot of attention and appreciation which is why I was really curious to try them out. Now they come in a whopping 20 shades which is crazy hard to choose from but I finally bought 6 of them that would come in use. I think that some of the shades in Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters is pigmented enough to use all on their own but few are a bit too sheer for my lips. The packaging of the Revlon Lip Butters is one of the reasons I bought them in the first place. The cover shows the shade of the lip butter and has a vintage feel to it. The packaging is high quality and attractive with zigzag embellishment on each cover. The end of the Lip butters tells you the number and name of the shade while the top is sheer. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters contain .09oz of the product which basically the same amount of an average lipstick and can be travelled with easily. I am a sucker for products that not only work well but smell good as well and I give Revlon an extra star for making these lipsticks taste and smell good too.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters comes in 20 different shades of which I own 6 of them. The name of all the shades are Pink Truffle, Sugar Frosting, Raspberry Pie, Tutti Frutti, Brown Sugar, Candy Apple, Red Velvet, Cotton Candy, Cupcake, GumDrop, Creamsicle, Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tart, Fig Jam, Lollipop, Cherry Tart, Sugar Plum, Berry Smoothie, Peach Parfait and Crème Brulee. I own the last 6 shades and I absolutely adore them.

Remedies For Curing Stained Nails

Hello Ladies,
I have been using nail enamels a lot lately and constantly I have answered people who ask, “doesn’t these stain your nails?”, I look at them and say in my head “ stop using gift centre nail paints, they tend to do so!! “. I know I am MEAN :P But then seriously bad quality cosmetics always back fire, there are a lot of affordable makeup brands providing us with amazing products these days. But still, I thought I jot down some instant and quick home remedies for curing stained nails.

The most tried and trusted one, is dipping your nails in lemon juice. You can always dilute lemon juice with some water and dip your finger tips into it. Keep in for about 5 minutes and gently scrub your nail bed with a toothbrush. You can alternate lemon juice with lemon essential oil.

Disprin or denture tablets dissolved in water can be used to soak and cure discoloration of the nail bed. These tablets have whitening agents. Mixing hydrogen peroxide with water also helps in whitening nails.

Make a paste of lemon juice and baking soda and scrub it onto your nail bed with a toothbrush. Follow with massaging your nails with good cuticle/nail oil.

Buff your nails regularly. This is another effective way of whitening the nails.

The best and the most affordable way of treating nail discoloration is, taking your regular hand wash or toothpaste and scrubbing your nails with it.  Use a toothbrush for this.

I think these are more than enough to brighten up the nails and these shall help you maintain your nails and keep them from discoloration.
