Hola Beauties!

Viva Beauty Awards is just around the corner, and I would certainly be attending it this year :D but before that let me declare my winners in each of the categories. These are products which I have been using day in and day out and I seriously feel some of these are such unsung heroes. Anyways let’s get on with it.

I needed to vote for the below 9 categories

Best Perfume : Elie Saab Eau De Parfum Intense. Their latest launch, has some beauty fragrance notes, and an abstract combination of floral/fruity and musky scents. Deliciously delicate perfume.

Best Mascara : I swear by it, Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara is hands down my pick any day, after Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real. It is the blackest black mascara ever lengthens my lashes and makes them look fluttery full :D Read my complete review on the same HERE

Best Nail Polish : If you follow my INSTAGRAM , you would know I have fallen for the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure range of nail enamels, I cant seem to stop loving them. They are creamy, opaque and dry super quick. They eradicated my hassels of applying a top coat and base coat and even a nail strengthener. My vote to these beauties.

Best Hair Salon : Again if you follow me on INSTAGRAM or like it through our FACEBOOK page HERE, you must be knowing that I have recently got my hair re-ombre’d (if that’s even a term :P) I loveeeeee HAIR WORKS at Jumeirah and my first visit to the salon just made me their loyalist, I have recommended it to a dozen women in a week’s time and please expect reviews on the same coming up. I love you Jay! :P Its an hidden treasure trust me go and unveil it yourself. Location details HERE

Best Anti Ageing Product: I need a couple of years more to embrace the gut anti ageing products, but I have been using the Clarins Double Serum for sometime now, I use it for 2 times a week. Although I am like 2 years (anti ageing products must be used ONLY after 25 years) far from being able to use anti ageing products I thought better start prevention then cure. What made me use this product was its ability to hydrate the skin, provide it with the required nutrition, oxygenation, protection and regeneration.

Best Hair Product : I swear by the Loccitane range of hair products, have been using them since 4 years now. My ultimate favorite is Loccitane Eclat & Soin Couleur / Radiance and Colour Care hair mask. It is a magical product. I have always had colored hair (atleast after getting out of high school for the last 5 years ) and hence I do try to makeup for all the torture I make my hair go through by using premium hair care products and services. Loccitane Eclat & Soin Couleur hair mask has been my FAVORITE for over a year now.

Best Face Moisturizer : Guerlain Blanc De Perle Day Care Treatment for the face. It is one of my most used hydrating product over the past 6 months and it has the ability to keep my t-zone grimace free even through the day in this scorching Dubai summers (which is yet to come, sigh!)

Best Lipstick : Couldn’t pick one! I love Bobbi Brown beauty products , and their lipsticks have been my cult favorites and before discovering Bobbi Brown I have had a love affair with MAC lipsticks which I continue to LOVVVEE!

Best Body Product : Gazillions of them. But at the moment , I loving the DOVE Visible Effects Nourishing Body Lotion. It smells amazing and makes my body skin super soft and hydrated!

People who follow me on INSTAGRAM know I have been shifting my residence and trust me it is a beauty bloggers worst nightmare! Anyways I am kind of settling down in the new house but it’s not yet complete complete I shall take a month to settle down or may be a couple of months, goodness gracious. Anyways, presenting to you the next set of swatches! These are the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color swatches. I have reviewed the creamy matte ones which are almost similar to this range HERE and HERE

Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color

Product Claims :
Creamy Lip Color combines rich color with comfortable, long-lasting wear and a soft, creamy shine. With emollient shea butter and plant-derived skin conditioners, this amazing formula glides on smooth, wears all day, and leaves lips soft and moisturized.

I am guessing these also fall in the same price bracket as the creamy matte ones, i.e 140 AED

Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color

Personally while swatching I could conclude that these lipsticks are opaque and uber creamy. Just like they look here, they are superbly moisturizing and hydrating too.

The pigmentation of the lipsticks is super gorgeous. There were just 7 shades available at The Bobbi Brown store in The Dubai Mall.

I have already reviewed this gorgeous product by Bobbi Brown HERE, today I am sharing 10 Bobbi Brown Corrector Swatches.

The price of the product is 133 AED, I am not sure if the price has increased now.

Product Claims :
A wake-up call for tired eyes. Corrector is pink- or peach-based to neutralise under-eye darkness and is designed to be used before Creamy Concealer. New and improved formula is long-wearing and brightens dark circles with quick, just-right coverage that’s easy to blend and won’t crease. And since great makeup starts with healthy skin, Corrector is infused with skin conditioners to protect the delicate under-eye area.

In my honest opinion, this is a great product for correcting redness and grayness on the skin.

There are quite a few things which are worrying me at the moment, the prime being the end of the weekend ( I am so not looking forward to this week), the weather ( I hate wet and dull weather), the amount of work I need to get done, lastly and the most important concern for me at the moment is shifting the house! House shifting can be a beauty bloggers, worst nightmare, like WORST! Anyways, keeping everything aside, here are the 10 Bobbi Brown Face Touch Up Stick swatches.

I am guessing they retail in the 180-210 aed range, I may be wrong since I haven’t used these yet, but while swatching I found them extremely creamy and soft, they had a full coverage and they blended like a dream, pretty “desirable” right?

I am not sure about it suiting all skin types since they have a dewy finish and also look highly emollient and creamy, I am assuming OILY skin types won’t really like these. I also felt strongly that these would double as a great foundation as well. They have all qualities of a good foundation though :)

But may be some day I may review these for you all. SOMEDAY!!!

In line with the previous post HERE, presenting you 15 swatches of the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick I haven’t reviewed this product yet on the blog, but Eliano did use this on my combination skin, SEE. So don’t be surprised if you see me reviewing this product shortly. Anyhow, as per my short experience with the product during my makeup session with Eliano and now with the swatching, I find this product as a great hand bag companion which can save you in tricky situations. It has a good coverage, blends well and also stays well! More details when I actually try and test this product.

The price remains in the same 210-250 AED bracket for the product like all the other foundations by the brand.

A little description of the product , Bobbi’s innovative Foundation Stick is designed for portability and adjustable coverage. Easy to apply and blend all over the face or just where you need it. For all skin types, except very oily

On the international website, I see they have 20 shades, but the store had just 15.
I my opinion, Bobbi Brown makes shades for every skin tone and this product is a clear winner in this category too.

There are shades which will match up to almost every skin tone, from the palest to the warmest.

Hello My Lovelies!
I know I have been a jerk since the past one month, but trust me there are so many things going on in my life, both at the professional and personal front and I have been finding it really difficult to even find time to breathe well! Now you know where I have been lost, but amidst all this, I have been working a gazillion posts out for you guys, people who follow me on INSTAGRAM know a lot about this :D I was at the Bobbi Brown store in The Dubai Mall about 2 weeks ago for a special swatch project and trust me with the huge variety and diversity of the products available I could just complete swatching and testing, about 7 products! So I will be making another trip there for covering the remaining products. Anyhow, let’s start with the first product in my project “Swatch It”, Bobbi Brown Blushes. I am swatching 15 bobbi brown blushes today for you all.

Before I forget, thanks everyone who came to see me that day, I felt like a little celebrity :D Thank you for making me feel so :)

I have reviewed the Bobbi Brown blush in Apricot HERE.

The website shows 17 shades of the products out of which I have swatched 15, I am guessing there has to be 2 which are newly launched ( as per the website) or may be limited edition ones.

They have shades for everyone in the permanent line, along with varied finishes and great textures. I personally love Apricot a lot because it instantly adds that glow to the skin and the required color. It does look a little vibrant in the pan but it is one of those beautiful shades which I will always love!

My personal favorite Apricot and Flame! I love this two shades, I mean I L-O-V-E them! PERIOD!

Hello Ladies!

A couple of days ago I did a post on how much fun I had meeting Eliano Bou Assi, from Bobbi Brown. Today I am here with the details of the products he used on my face and also a small Q & A session.

Anyways, here are the product Eliano used on my face.

While Eliano was busy with his art on my face I was having a gala time and since I cannot really keep my mouth zipped for a very long time, I had to have a conversation with Eliano.

So I thought might as well ask him questions which will enlighten us more on makeup and beauty.

Q : How do I know I have picked the perfect foundation?
A: When people stop saying “your foundation looks great” and start saying “your skin looks great” that’s when you know you have the perfect foundation

Q: Concealer first or the corrector?
A: Corrector anyday

Q: Is it necessary to blend the blush as much as we blend the rest of the makeup?
A: Blend is your friend :D Blend it till it gets into your skin

Q: How does one pick the right brow filler eyeshadow/eyepencil?
A: It should be the exact match of your eye, never use a black product for the eyebrows

I had a great experience getting my makeup done by Eliano! I think he one of the most professional and kind people I have ever met and he does know his art really well.

Hola Ladies!
Hope you guys are doing exceptionally fantastic! I know I have been gone forever, but then this has been one of the most busiest months in my life, if you guys follow me on INSTAGRAM you would certainly know what I have been upto! Today I am sharing with you something really exciting, and trust me it was one of the highlights of the month for me. About two weeks ago I got to meet, Eliano Bou Assi- Head of Artistry for EMEA for Bobbi Brown.

I am sure by now everyone knows my affection and love for the brand. I mean I love it and I love it to the core! It’s one of those sane brands which keep the costumers awaiting their launches. I mean each and every product launched by the brand is better than the previous one and you cannot get enough of it.

I had to meet Eliano Bou Assi at the newly launched Bobbi Brown flagship store at The Dubai Mall.I arrived a little late with my Bestie to see Eliano.

Firstly, we were bowled over by his pleasant and cheerful personality. He greeted us along with Slyvia the gorgeous PR Manager for Bobbi Brown. After having a little introduction session we got on with the session.

Eliano asked me what I would prefer for my session, a heavy smokey evening look or a simple natural look or anything else. I was super frank to him and I told him I would love to know how to achieve a flawless canvas for flawless makeup.

He sat me down and began with his magic! First and foremost he cleared of my previous makeup, then moisturized my skin and prepped it, not to forget even the eye area.

Next step was matching the foundation followed by correcting the skin of the flaws and then concealing them.

Powdered my skin TADAAAA a flawless base was ready. I will reveal the products used in my next post with some more Q & A with Eliano.

Next was the blush, he picked a nice plum peach shade and blended it onto my cheek bones, and then he picked a tad darker shade blush for my apples of the cheeks.

Next was my eyes, I loved the way he did my eyes with just 2 products, a cream eyeshadow and a black eyeliner.

Next was my lips, he used a lovely brown red color and I was all ready.

It hardly took him 25 minutes to get me all set and ready.

Amidst all this I and Eliano and my Bestie had a blast clicking pictures and chit chatting with Eliano.

The next post shall reveal all the products he used and more about my experience and all the fun with Eliano! And also some pictures of the store!

Hope you guys are doing fantastic! I am back after a hiatus of about a week. I have been doing so many things lately that I am left with no time to even breath and I do not see this improving any soon :P and trust me everything I have been doing has been my first time experiences. Shall share with you guys through the week. But if you are following me instagram HERE, you shall know what all I have been upto. I have been a little high on BB creams lately. You shall realize it pretty soon now with all the reviews coming up. Today I am reviewing one more newly launched BB cream, the Rimmel BB Cream.

Product Claims :
Rimmel’s 1st 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup 9 in 1 results: Primes, moisturises, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens, and helps protect. Lightweight, ultra comfortable formula instantly gives a flawless, 100% natural finish. SPF 25

Rimmel BB Cream comes in a nice stout tube.

My Thoughts On The Rimmel BB Cream :

I have realized that I have been a little ignorant towards BB cream, I have always been a sheer foundation person, and haven’t really paid heed to BB cream the way WOMEN these days are. But recently I have been leaning towards BB creams, I loved some I hated the rest.

When Rimmel BB Cream was launched, I didn’t know what to expect, I have always loved their foundations and I had a little hope that Rimmel BB Cream would be a good contender for the “BEST BB CREAM” category.

The packaging of the product is super handy. It is a stout small tube with a little outlet for the product. It is light and can be carried around and travel friendly.

There are only 2 shade available with the Rimmel BB Cream. Medium and light. I am using the “LIGHT” shade since it had enough pink and yellow undertones to suit my skin tone.

The texture of the product is balmy. It is a hybrid of gel and cream. I use my fingers to apply it and then use a brush to blend it in. It blends beautifully into the skin without any tugging or rubbing.

Now what sold this to me was their “9 in 1” claim. So let’s take it one by one.

Primes : As a primer, it works as beautifully as my POREFESSIONAL does. It controls oil on my T-zone and does smoothen my skin thus providing a better canvas for the makeup. Full marks here.

Moisturises : A BB cream HAS to be moisturizing. It doesn’t fail in this department too. It moisturizes my skin beautifully and keeps it hydrated through the day.

Minimizes pores : As mentioned above, it does minimize the appearance of pores thus faking a flawless base. It doesn’t clog the pores and feels pretty light.

Conceals : I would reduce a point here. It doesn’t conceal as flawlessly as a concealer would, but if you have light blemishes and spots, this will work magically.

Covers: More than concealing it covers and creates a perfect illusion of perfect skin.

Smoothes: Since it is hydrating and primes the skin, you can feel the skin smoother and softer. Full points here too.

Mattifies : It has a matte finish, and not a dewy one and the finish stays the same through the hours you have it on. Also this quality makes it a gorgeous oil controlling primer.

Brightens : It proffers a nice radiance to the skin and not to forget a very nice natural radiance. I give it full marks here.

Protects : It has SPF 25, which is nice enough for a little protection apart from your usual sunscreen.

Final Verdict :
Rimmel BB Cream is an absolute delight. It is my go-to face product these days, because it proffers what I need on a daily basis. This is great for those “let my skin breath” kind of days and regular mornings to office and school. Super affordable and super useful. Totally recommended.
