Early this week a friend of mine took me up on this conversation and it got me thinking.

I did attempt to answer her question, for the records it was not a personal question rather a sincere inquiry on my view or better still my opinion on the subject matter.

What came to mind spontaneously was the fact that today's man had allowed for equal playing ground "gender equality".

Whether it was given or taken was not the point rather outcome was key. That which was obtainable the former is for later discourse.

Whats your take on this?

Speaker: Pastor Faith James
Title: Oh Lord send your fire to us

Opening text: 1 kings 18:1-
Obadiah feared the Lord
do you know you are hid in God, :10,12
1 Kings18:38

Fire could come in many ways:
to get our attention
to consume and punish a wrong or something not wanted
to protect us
to fuel us, to charge us, propel us for greater work
to fine us
to judge

Lord we need your revival...
what was the purpose of God in creating man. to dominate, not just to profess christ but to manifest...

God has got standards, and we ought to conform.
We have become so familial with God that we no longer tremble at his call.

The church has become distracted, majored on the minor and minored on the major.
Rhetoric; When last the I genuinely seek God except for personal wants

If I'm God decide this day who you will serve.
So much is competing for our time with God

The fire cannot come until there is a realisation that something is not right

Things that will stop the fire from coming (enemies of revival)

1. Being in the midst of Compromises; Obadiah, busy looking for grass instead of praying (Lord send your revival). A compromiser settles for less
Let's go back to Golgotha "literally" so that we can ask God for exactly want He wants, be cause when we do Gods bidding "that I might know you, show me how to fit into your plan"
"What will Jesus do" this should be on our mind in every choice we make, it should frame our decision and living

what's your manner of prayer? to be recognized or to..

Where are my in God, do we still have the joy of our salvation?

2. Corrupt generation

"Bring back my glory" Pray down the glory of God and chase out the Jezebels from our Nation.

Empowering! will bring about a revival in the Land.

3. Confused company. God is looking for the Elijah's of our time that will bring the people back to God
to rule and shine we need to be knowledgeable, deeply grounded in the word. The word of God.

Don't waver I don't do anything except I hear from God, not following the confused.
Hold unto God, hold unto the confession of your faith.

4. Competition: what is competing with God in your life.

Things that bring in revival in our time/life/world/nation/situation
1. Unity: if the doctrinal walls can be broken down psalm 133:1
2. Separation of Gods people 2 Corinthians 6:17-18, James 4:4
3. There's a Supernatural wall of fire that want to show up for us.
4. The strength of our prayers

Eric Barker April 16, 2014 Ile Saint Louis, Paris, France

As Daniel Jones, author of Love Illuminated, explains: we spend youth asking “How do I find love?” and midlife asking “How do I get it back?”

Everyone is happy to explain “how they met” but few give the details on “how they stayed together.” So let’s look at what science has to say.

“Happily Ever After” Ain’t Easy Aside from being the epitome of lazy writing, “happily ever after” is not simple. Ty Tashiro explains that couples in their first year of marriages score 86% for marriage satisfaction. By the seventh year, it’s under 50%.

The Science of Happily Ever After: What Really Matters in the Quest for Enduring Love Yes,
about 50% of couples get divorcorced
10-15% separate but do not file paperwork
7 more percent are chronically unhappy

So the real stat is two-thirds of marriages do not live “happily ever after.”

Via The Science of Happily Ever After: What Really Matters in the Quest for Enduring Love:
The divorce rate often reported by the media is 50 percent, which is based on Census Bureau data. However, census data does not capture the 10 to 15 percent of couples who permanently separate but do not file formal paperwork for a legal divorce. This means that a conservative estimate of the divorce and permanent separation rate is 60 percent. Add the additional 7 percent of chronically unhappy couples who do not divorce or permanently separate but are consistently unhappy in their marriage, and this means that two-thirds of all married couples do not live happily ever after.

Why is marriage so hard over the long term? One of the main reasons is what science calls it “habituation.” Which is a fancy way of saying we get bored. Early on, when a couple can finish each other’s sentences it’s romantic. But over time “predictable” is a huge negative.

Chris Rock gets the point across humorously in this video (NSFW)

Robert Greene, author of The Art of Seduction, explains that surprise is key to romantic feelings: Seduction involves a degree of surprise, which is generally the first thing that disappears after you’ve been in a relationship, and why there’s no more seducing that goes on.

Everything is familiar and you’re no longer surprised by the other person. So is there any way to bring those tingles back?

Yes.

Here’s how.

What You Can Learn From Arranged Marriages “Arranged marriage! AGH! Weird!” Hold on a sec. We can learn something here. What do researchers find when they compare at 50 arranged marriages and 50 “love” marriages? Love marriages start out happier — but that declines quickly.

Arranged marriages start out less happy, but after 10 years, they’re happier than love marriages. And stay that way.

The Art of Choosing: The couples who had married for love and been together less than a year averaged a score of 70 points out of a possible 91 on the love scale, but these numbers steadily fell over time. The love couples who had been married ten years or longer had an average score of only 40 points.
In contrast, the couples in arranged marriages were less in love at the outset, averaging 58 points, but their feelings increased over time to an average score of 68 at the ten or more years mark.

What’s the secret behind the long term success of arranged marriages?

They have to work at it. They don’t passively rely on “magic” and intense emotion. They have to spend a lot of time thinking about how to make it work.

Love Illuminated: That process of discovery is ostensibly the fun of courtship, too, except that in arranged marriage the goal is to figure out how to be married, not whether to marry.

Research shows expecting a fairy tale relationship is a prescription for disappointment.

100 Simple Secrets of Great Relationships: Elements of fairy tales such as Cinderella were present in 78 percent of people’s beliefs about romantic love. Those people were more likely to have experienced disillusionment, devastation, and angst in their relationships than were those who gave less credence to fairy tales.

Lockhart 2000 Feeling like it’s all magic means it’s out of your control and that without that initial magic, it’s hopeless.

The happiness of arranged marriages means a couple can make magic if they try. So you need to actively keep the marriage happy.

How do you do that?

Don’t Fix The Bad. Increase The Good.

Look at your spouse as something you purchased “as-is.” Research shows trying to change them doesn’t work: …when participants (N = 160) focused their relationship improvement attempts on changing the partner, individuals reported more negative improvement strategies, lower improvement success, and, in turn, more negative relationship evaluations… results suggest that targeting the partner may do more harm than good despite that relationship evaluations pivot on whether the partner produces change.

John Gottman, researcher and author of The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, says 69% of a couple’s problems are perpetual. These problems don’t go away yet many couples keep arguing about them year after year.

The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work: Most marital arguments cannot be resolved. Couples spend year after year trying to change each other’s mind – but it can’t be done. This is because most of their disagreements are rooted in fundamental differences of lifestyle, personality, or values.
By fighting over these differences, all they succeed in doing is wasting their time and harming their marriage. So if you can’t change them and they won’t change you, how can you reduce the bad stuff?

You can’t. But you don’t need to.

The best relationships are more about increasing the good than reducing the bad.

Divorce may have less to do with an increase in conflict and more to do with a decrease in positive feelings.

Flourish: A Visionary New Understanding of Happiness and Well-being: Shelly Gable, professor of psychology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, has demonstrated that how you celebrate is more predictive of strong relations than how you fight.

Okay, so you need to increase the good times.
What’s the best way to do that? (This part is exciting. I mean, literally.)

Forget Romance. Think Excitement. Think a pleasant date night is all it takes to keep love alive?
Researchers did a 10 week study comparing couples that engaged in “pleasant” activities vs “exciting” activities. Pleasant lost.

For Better: How the Surprising Science of Happy Couples Can Help Your Marriage Succeed: Those who had undertaken the “exciting” date nights showed a significantly greater increase in marital satisfaction than the “pleasant” date night group…

Why would doing anything exciting have such a big effect on a relationship?

Because we’re lousy about realizing where our feelings are coming from. Excitement from any source will be associated with the person you’re with, even if they’re not the cause of it.

As happiness researcher Sonja Lyubomirsky explains, excitement experienced mutually brings the tingles back.

The Myths of Happiness: What Should Make You Happy, but Doesn’t, What Shouldn’t Make You Happy, but Does: …Whether the couples were only dating or long-married, the ones who did the shared novel activity were more likely than the ones who did the shared neutral activity to agree to statements like “I feel happy when I am doing something to make my partner happy” and “I feel ‘tingling’ and ‘an increased heartbeat’ when I think of my partner” after the activity than before.

So no boring, lame date nights. Go do something exciting. Go dancing together or anything else you can both participate in as a couple. Sum Up Keeping love alive can be tricky. You need to actively work at it and it’s more important to increase the good then to reduce the bad. And the best way to do that is by increasing excitement.

So you’re hopping on roller coasters and going white water rafting — but
what do you need to do when you’re there? Pretend you’re on your first date.

Studies show pretending time with a romantic partner was a first date makes it more enjoyable for you and for your partner: Across a series of studies, participants underestimated how good they would feel in situations that required them to put their best face forward… participants who were instructed to engage in self-presentation felt happier after interacting with their romantic partner than participants who were not given this instruction…

Why?
On first dates we make an effort to impress. And we’re full of hope. Love means being a little delusional (Some researchers even think love might qualify as a mental illness.) Thinking your partner is better than they really are makes for longer, better relationships.

The Science of Love: Sandra Murray and her colleagues have been studying romantic relationships now for several decades, and have found that idealising one’s partner is a sure recipe for marital success; moreover, the higher one’s ideals are and the more one idealises one’s partner, the more satisfied one is with the relationship – and the longer it is likely to last.

Letting yourself be a little crazy — crazy for your partner — pays off.

By Leo Babauta

Your day is getting hectic, and you’re tired, or anxious, or distracted, or full of doubt. You’re a bit lost, feeling without direction.

Take a breath. Turn the spotlight of your attention from all the worries of your day to your breath, as it comes in and then goes out. Breathe normally, not more slowly or deeply than usual — the only thing that has changes is you’re now paying attention. Your mind will wander, and that’s OK.

Just gently return your attention to your breath, noticing your thoughts as they arise, then going back to the breath. It’s a gentle thing, the breath: it fills you, then leaves softly, without you noticing most times, without you needing to worry about it. Your mind wanders, and you come back. You pay attention to the quality of the breath, and your body as your chest rises and falls, your shoulders move, your back is slumped a bit, your butt is perhaps a little sore from sitting.

You notice this moment, and realize that in this moment, everything is OK. This moment is complete, without the worries and distractions. When you return to your anxieties, fears … these emerge from the mind unbidden, just as all your thoughts do.

They are temporary conditions, like clouds passing. They aren’t of any consequence if you just notice them, acknowledge them, let them move on. You return to the breath, and the anxieties are forgotten for a second as you see the breath.

Your mind wanders again, fears arising, desires for distractions and pleasures coming up. These are selfish little things, the fears and desires, that are looking for comfort and trying to avoid discomfort. You go back to the breath, and notice the body, and your surroundings, all perfect in this moment. For a second, your worries about the comfort of your self is forgotten.

The self is not a concern when you’re fully in the moment, though it will assert itself again. The self and its fears and desires and anxieties and urges return, then you go back to the breath and they’re gone. Like the ebb and flow of tides, the self and the moment surge back and forth, with you caught up in the waves between them.

You stay with the breath for a moment, and for that moment … you are no longer there. There’s just the breath, the body, and all that’s around you. You can subscrib to this blog by email.

In everything appreciate God, Bless the lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits...
There is tendency to forget... Always remember to appreciate God.

Don't make light of Gods deliverance from guilt and condemnation, emotional turmoils,... don't take anything for granted, as little as a second of your time...
someone out there will give everything to have you have.

the more you complain the less you obtain... don't take your job for granted

Don't take God for granted, in spite of all our shortcomings.

By Leo Babauta

Start by admitting that greatness doesn’t come from the distraction and busywork that often fills up our lives. It comes from making a difference in the world.

Now consider how you can make a difference in the lives of others. Consider your current work, which perhaps already makes a difference — how can you refocus yourself on this work?

Or consider creating a side project, and carving out the time for this.
Be the example of compassion for others around you.
Know that it doesn’t matter if you achieve the compassionate result you set out to achieve — what matters is the intention to improve the lives of others.
You can’t control the result, but you can control the intention. And you can show up, every day. With that intention.

Carve out the time. Put aside everything else. Realize that this life is limited and precious and amazing, and you shouldn’t waste a minute of it.

Pursue this compassionate work with single-minded devotion. This one thing matters, and all else can be put aside for now, unless it’s in support of your work. (Good health supports your work, including a whole-foods diet, exercise, and sleep.)

Practice until you’re amazing.

This compassionate work, with good-hearted intention, pursued with single-minded devotion: this is greatness.

By Leo Babauta

We fail at creating new habits because of fantasies.

We procrastinate because of fantasies.

We get frustrated with other people, with ourselves, because of fantasies.

We miss out on the wonder of the world because of fantasies.

We — all of us — live our lives in delusion most of the time. That might not seem true, but consider:

• When you wake up and start thinking about what you’re going to do today, your plans aren’t really happening, but are all in your head.

• When you fear the failure that might come when you tackle this big work task, and you procrastinate, it’s not failure that’s actually happening but it’s all in your head.

• When someone does something that irritates you, this is because they aren’t acting as you think they should (they should be more considerate), but this “acting how you think they should” is not reality but an ideal you have, in your head. The frustration stems not from their actions but from how their actions differ from your fantasies.

• When you start out with a new habit (let’s say exercise), you are motivated by a fantasy of what your life will be like when you create the habit … but that’s not real.

• When the reality of the habit happens, it never matches up with your fantasy. It’s often harder, sloppier. Less idealized. And so you quit. When you move through your home or office, your mind is not on the action of walking and the things around you, but elsewhere. In fantasy. When you eat, you’re not paying attention to the food most of the time. Your mind is somewhere else, in fantasy.

• When you talk to someone, you aren’t focused on what they’re saying, but thinking of what you’re going to say, or thinking about something else.
Of course, some of the time we’re here in the present moment, but it’s probably less than you think.

The fantasies take up most of our time, and they are not usually helpful. They cause us to fear, to procrastinate, to become angry, disappointed, to quit.
Instead, try this: let go of the fantasy and pay attention to this actual moment. See it for what it is, not what you’d like it to be.

Accept it exactly as it is, warts and all. Move through the day practicing this seeing things as they are.

Do your work without thinking about the fear of your failure fantasy, or what might happen in the future, or how hard this work is gonna be … and just do it, in the present moment.

Do your new habit (exercise, meditation, healthy eating) in the present moment, seeing it for what it is, not how it measures up to your fantasy of what it should be. Not how it will be hard in the future. But as it is.

See other people for what they are, and accept them without judgment. Strangers included. Warts and all.

We can fantasize all we want, but the fantasy never happens. This present reality is all we got. Let’s learn to love it.

title: Keep the end in view
Hebrews 9:27-30
As long s we are hea	ring God we are not supposed to be moved or ruled by fear.
Mathew 24, 25 (foresight will be necessary for dealing with the challenges in this times),
the christian unique advantage: foresight, preparation for eternity.
Jacob vs Esau
Esau was a short time thinker (sold birthright for food) everyone in the world is ideologically tending towards the Esau or Jacob part. one is trading food for birthright, tangible for intangible, now for future,

One day we will be judged,
judgement of belivers; romans 14:10-13, 2 Corinthians 5:8-11, 1 Corinthians 3:11-15
choice, words and action are they from christ or self?
1. God will judge our motive...
God needs us to be at the point were we can do nothing or refuse to do nothing except waiting on God.
The devil leverages on deprivation and success to perfect schemes
Rev 2 and 3 read up.
2. Judgement of the nations; Mathew 25:31-40
God will judge our attitude towards people, how we treat people. Every human being is an extension of God. What ever God doesn't deserve don't give it to man.

Sin is the hindrance, Christ has paid the price for the remission of all sin.
Turn to Christ today,
Your best opportunities are just around you.
Show love in the midst of the crisis.

Simple life

Living the Simple Life
‘A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone.’ ~Henry David Thoreau

By Leo Babauta

For almost 9 years now, I’ve been learning to live a simple life.

A life uncluttered by most of the things people fill their lives with, and left with space for what really matters. A life that isn’t constant busy-ness and rushing, but contemplation and creation, connection with people I love and time for nature and activity.

That doesn’t mean I have zero clutter and zero complications: I’m a part of the world, not a secluded monk. I have possessions, electronics, distractions, and occasional busy-ness. I just have reduced it to make space.

Today I’ve been reflecting on this simple life, and thought I’d share some of those reflections.

Some things I’ve learned about living the simple life:

Decluttering your home and work space can lead to a less cluttered mind. These visual distractions pull on us in more ways than we realize.
A quiet unrushed morning is a thing to treasure. I wake early so that I have some quiet time to read, write, meditate.
You can’t have a simple life if you’re unwilling to let go of what you’re used to.
Letting go can be difficult, but is easier if you do a one-month challenge. Let go of something for a month and see whether you like it or not.
Letting go of cable TV was one of the best things we did early on — no more constant television in my home, no more ads for crappy things we don’t need.
Shopping isn’t therapy. It’s a waste of time and money.
If you’re filling your life with distractions, its probably because you’re afraid of what life would be like without constant Internet, social media, news, TV, games, snacks.
Simple, whole, healthy food is not only much healthier than junk food: it’s a pleasure.
You have to make time for what’s important: time with your kids, time with your spouse, time for creating, time for exercise. Push everything else aside to make time.
Overcommitting is the biggest sin against simple living most people make. I painfully cut out a huge number of commitments to simplify my life, and I’m glad I did. I do this every year or so because I keep forgetting.
I keep my days mostly unstructured and unscheduled so that I have room for the little things that are so important: reading with my child, going for a walk, taking a nap.
I have certain activities I do almost every day, though not on a schedule: writing, reading, eating healthy meals, doing a workout or playing with the kids outdoors, processing my email inbox, reading with the kids.
It’s easy to fill up our lives because there are so many things that sound amazing. We hear about what others are doing and instantly want to add that to our lives. But it’s harder to remember that by adding so many things to our lives, we are subtracting space. And that space is important.
By saying no to things that sound really cool, I’m saying yes to what’s truly important to me.
Distractions are both more tempting and more destructive than we realize.
It’s tempting to fill in every little minute of the day with productivity or distractions. Don’t. Leave some emptiness.
We put too much emphasis on excitement. It’s temporary, and not important.
We overemphasize productivity. Focus, priorities and effectiveness are more important. So is a nice walk with a loved one.
If you can’t learn to sit in a quiet room alone with no distractions, you won’t be able to simplify.
Buying things doesn’t solve our problems. Neither does food.
It’s not how few things we own that matters. It’s whether we make those things count.
It’s better to have six books on your shelf that you’re really going to read than a hundred you never get around to.
When you travel lightly, you’re freer, less burdened, less tired. This applies to life, not just travel.
Your attention is your most valuable possession. Give it as a gift to the people you love most, not a bunch of clowns on the Internet. Give it to the work that matters most, not distractions.
Sometimes distractions are nice.
Why do we need to know the reasons people die?

Measuring how many people die each year and why they died is one of the most important means – along with gauging how diseases and injuries are affecting people – for assessing the effectiveness of a country’s health system.

Cause-of-death statistics help health authorities determine their focus for public health actions. A country where deaths from heart disease and diabetes rapidly rise over a period of a few years, for example, has a strong interest in starting a vigorous programme to encourage lifestyles to help prevent these illnesses. Similarly, if a country recognizes that many children are dying of malaria, but only a small portion of the health budget is dedicated to providing effective treatment, it can increase spending in this area.

High-income countries have systems in place for collecting information on causes of death in the population. Many low- and middle-income countries do not have such systems, and the numbers of deaths from specific causes have to be estimated from incomplete data. Improvements in producing high quality cause-of-death data are crucial for improving health and reducing preventable deaths in these countrie

It is two weeks into my MSC in Public health programme at the college of Medicine, Unibversity of Lagos. I'm somewhat overwhelmed with how much there is to know with regards public health and I'm stunned.

I stumble upon the fact that tomorrow 14th June is world blood donor day. Then the thought on the theme "give blood for those who give life" I asked can you give what you don't have? What is the quality of what you have if you do? How much of it do you have?

This is my conclusion to the matter, we ought to as a point of duty and social responsibility bear in mind that the life of those who give life that is (mothers) is in our hands. We ought to to be able to give blood, healthy blood, of what use is it to give what is harmful?
Topic: The Holy Spirit
Bible Reference: Acts 1:4-8, Proverbs 8:9, Zachariah 4:6, Micah 1:8
PLEUMA

The Holy Spirit is a gift. Any gift you do not value will not be maximally utilized by you. The Holy Spirit is sent to add value to your life.

Proverbs 13:1
There is no power except that which comes from God.

Ephesians 1:15
Holy Ghost seals us.

The Holy Ghost should not be grieved. The Holy Ghost recommends that we live right.

The Holy Ghost Quenches our thirst.

Ephesians 5:18-20
We need to be filed by this power if not we would be

We cant understand Gods thought and his will for us except we are filled the Holy Ghost.

We can only enjoy peace when we let the spirit of peace to live in us.

Jesus is coming for the church without spot and wrinkle, that is filled with the Holy Spirit
The holy spirit will teach you all things; how to make ends meet,

John 14:23-31
The secret things belong to God, the wealth of nations, treasures of the earth, you name it, it belongs to Him.

The Holy Ghost is the one that can help you see it (those things God has not made known yet) with the eyes of God.

Say this All my battles, I will fight, I will finish through the Holy spirit.

in Jesus Name.

The day started with much
reluctance for me. I am awake but just didn’t feel like leaving the bed. There
were just a few things to do before meeting up with an 8:3o am appointment in
church. I am dressed and out of the house getting onboard a motorcycle is an
issue as I am pressed for time but I am hesitant in boarding the ones that
approached me. It’s not the first, second or even the third. Its 8:35am and am
calm, calm? Indifferent! About everything; running late for church service,
traffic en route to church. On arrival there’s no change, I can’t pay my fare,
for the next few minutes am stranded at the church gate unmoved by my lateness
for service and balance from the motorcyclist. Having received my balance a
stroll is inevitable “am supposed to be running”. The tenor brothers in my
choir receive me with open arms like I have won a jackpot, my guess is they are
being sarcastic about my lateness (this particular time is more than I get
usually). They take me outside the church building, encamp round about me, make
me kneel, it’s like a movie to me but at this point indifference is mixed with
anxiety, doubt, surprise, uncertainties that emanate from my mind. Auto pilot
mode will best describe my state. I am prayed for, wow! One that kept looping
in my head was that “I will not arrive late to my destiny”. Getting back into
the service at 9am, shame and guilt rock my boat to the back seat of the choir
but didn’t go unnoticed by Deacon Oyelade (My Choir Coordinator) who summons me
and asks me to not let the shame relegate me to the back, that I should go and
take my sit in front.

By this time praise had started
and I was dumbfounded but for the word from my coordinator. Slow and steady my
spirit was elated. Rev Sam’s sermon a series in this family month (March, 2013)
the foundation of a Godly home. These two sentences that I could scribble down
are quite amazing:

Marriage is honorable in all, and
the bed undefiled… Hebrews 13:4

A wife or spouse is like a mirror
to her husband or spouse.

Service is over. Choir rehearsals
and I am calm, not enthused about leaving church the succor was amazing. I was
literally driven out of church. Amble with Mcquine Nwonzu (Music director) and
chidi chiedozie takes us to the park to board a keke (tricycle) that stops few
minutes into the journey owing to mechanical fault. What amazed me was we were
seated comfortably in the keke like nothing was at stake better put we weren’t
in a hurry. For the first time I am onboard a keke that attempts to tow another
this was the slowest ride I have taken relaxed and undisturbed on a highway and
without any complain whatsoever as the two keke’s where swaying left to right
en route.

My getting home reminded me of
how I left but the sight of everyone seated in the living room and the feeling
like their eyes where piercing through my skin like noon day sun, my nerves
tingly like I had spasm intermittently all over I hurriedly greeted and ran
into my room changed into something free and remained in there. My cousin Isikwe
Benyeogor comes in and say, “Papa Ogor is dead!” In the moment, the feeling of
finding a treasure and one is uneasy and enthusiastic about finding a way to
open this treasure, after a very long time of determination to see what ancient
antic it holds: gold, what have you. The unfolding of things like in a mission
movie with lots of suspense and writers touch, the only thing you find inside is
a message with a clause that gives one the heartfelt reward of fulfilling a
death wish when it is returned to where it was found something of that sort. I
couldn’t shout yes! I just heard the answer to my days unexplained mood, my kid
sister favour in a low tone reiterates “chide, daddy said I should tell you
that papa ogor is dead!”

I was aghast at my finding. No
sooner than that my phone rings, my cousin Peter Benyeogor it is, I am sure you
know I did not pick his call, he had accompanied my late uncle to the village
sometime last week. My guess is he knows I must have heard or the usual me not
often picking my call.

Sometime time last week my mom
said she had a dream and in that dream my uncle had recouped so much that she
teased him that his cheeks where out again, he smiled and said something I
didn’t remember as at the time of writing this. Immediately I knew we had lost
my uncle. He obviously was happier where he was, who wouldn’t be.

What a life! Not because my uncle
was too young or that I was shocked that he died. What led to the phrase
inspired title of the book. I
had learnt over the years to create solutions to problems which I often
discover, it is very easy for me to find problems and faults, the
imperfections, yes! You can say I am a critic. Yes I am! I am also a problem
solver. Title of the book is a
solution to the problems I saw around me in homes, marriages, relationships,
fellowships, communities instead of Lamentations I present to you revelations,
principles for me to live a happy life.

It is both a defensive and offensive weapon that gives immunity against the devil's scheme. Ephesians 6: 11

Ephesians 6:10 - 19
The defensive weapons include:
#1. Belt of truth (God's word)
#2. Breast plate of righteousness (Protecting vital organs)
#3. Readiness to share the salvation of peace.
#4. Shield of faith
#5. Helmet of salvation (to protect my mind)

The offensive weapons include:
#6. Sword of the spirit (spoken word of God in our mind)
#7. Praying in the spirit.

These weapons however are made of the word of God and operated by the word of God.

Everyone who wants to be fully armed by the armor of God ought to rely solely on the word of God. "Having on the whole armor of God"

Constant meditation on this scripture and daily workout in life will renew our minds and position us to function in God's order of things.

As christians our life should depend on the word of God. It should take first place in our life.

If your life depends on this then it requires a quality decision. And a decision is quality when it is a final.
