Do you support starting a nominating committee now and holding elections once negotiations conclude? (Yes/No)

• If the vote is Yes  -  A nominating committee will be formed, and Elections will be held after negotiations conclude (dependent on timing).

• If the vote is No  -  A nominating committee will be formed right away, and elections will be held in March (regardless of negotiations status).

The poll was open for two weeks. The EA’s Corresponding Secretary shared on January 26th that the vote passed with 116 of 131 participants (88.6%) voting “Yes.” As such, the current Board will move forward with forming a Nominating Committee in preparation for elections upon the conclusion of contract negotiations.

This year’s Children’s Holiday Party, hosted by the Air District and EA, will be held on Monday, December 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the District Office in San Francisco. Employees are encouraged to bring their family and celebrate with festive activities and meet & greet with Santa and special characters from Frozen!

Updates to the Employees’ Association’s Constitution and By-Laws were proposed to general membership on April 9, 2024. Voting on proposed changes opened on April 12th, followed by a second vote on July 11th due to an unintended change in the Constitution and By-Laws distributed to members for the initial vote.

In the latest vote, members approved the revised updates (corrected to remove unintended change) with 129 Yes and 2 No.

Updates include, but are not limited to:

• General formatting

• Clarification on Board member duties

• Updated expenditure limits previously approved by general membership

• Increased Social Committee budget

• Additional steward positions to align with the most recent MOU
