4/18/2013 Court Closure Due to Fire in Macomb, Michigan

The circuit court in Macomb, Michigan had a fire in their server room yesterday afternoon (April 17, 2013) and have lost use of their computer system until further notice. All those that conduct criminal record searches in this jurisdiction for employment background screening purposes will experience delays until the court reopens. We will continue to follow up on the progress of this situation and will provide notifications as they are available.

Update- April 22, 2013

We’ve just learned that the court could take at least one month to return to normal operations and that felony court records will not be available until that time. Misdemeanor records must be stored in a different area as they are available now.

2/8/2013 Massachusetts Courts to Close Early Due to Winter Storm

Under the threat of a major winter storm expected to hit the entire Northeast section of the country, we are being told to expect a number of court closures throughout the day. We’ve already received word that all state of Massachusetts courts will be closed at Noon today, February 8, 2013. Stay tuned for more updates.

1/21/2013 Martin Luther King Day Court Closures

Please note that all U.S. courts will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2013 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. All courts will reopen on Tuesday the 22nd.

All those submitting criminal background checks today should note a one day delay in processing.
