May was the month I was most looking forward to all winter long! It´s full of weddings, shoots, travels (Budapest, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna), amazing couples and work work work. It is the month I´ve been the busiest since I decided to become a photographer (which was exactly 2 years ago this month…. I can´t believe it´s been that long already!!!???) and I honestly couldn´t enjoy this crazy busy time any more! I try to keep up with blogging at least 3 times a week, but if I don´t manage I´ll keep you updated on all my other social media outlets like my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! I hope your month is going as great as mine. Kisses from Hungary!

Tania and Ivan has married in the summer of 2011 in an intimate ceremony in Barcelona, Spain. (too bad I didn’t get to be their photographer for the day, but at least we rocked out a post wedding session!!! ) You could say that they have fallen in love with the whole wedding experience as Tania has decided to become a wedding planner right after and Ivan could easily pass for a pro model after all the fun wedding themed shoots they have done together.

Hand in hand with Tania we have planned a poppy field after wedding shoot in the sunset, in a field close to Barcelona for the beginning of May, complete with a picnic and lots of fun props courtesy of Tania & Wedding Dreams!

Doing a session on a poppy field was one of those shoots that I have on my bucket list of amazing wedding sessions I wanna do, and I couldn’t be more happy with how these came out… Tania and Ivan were great great models and it’s so refreshing to meet a guy who loves to pose for my camera! (and I mean loooooooove) Thank you Tania and Ivan for an amazing afternoon and the beautiful styling for this shoot! I hope you love these images as much as I do!

Running has always been one of those things that I’d have loved to do, if only I wouldn’t hate doing it so much… yep, cry me a river right? Long story short I quit my gym last month due to my crazy summer schedule and I started running 4-5 times a week. I’ve really surprised myself when slowly but surely I started to fall in love with it! The first few times have been kinda horrible, I’d run for a minute, than walk for 2, but the amazing thing is that every time I go, I feel myself improving! I can run longer, faster and I feel that I’m getting stronger! (Yesterday I ran a 5k without stopping… ME!!!) Every time I go for a run I set myself a goal where I’d want to run and I just go… so far I haven’t been to the same place twice, which makes it exciting, challenging and never boring, plus it allows be to discover a lot of cool places I never knew existed. It’s the perfect workout for my crazy hectic gypsy life as I can do it anywhere, anytime. Running became my release, my time to think, to plan my day and just relax and enjoy the outdoors! I love the feeling I get after finishing… I’m pumped, energized and happy.. and I haven’t even started my day yet!

I can’t believe all those years I was wishing I was a runner… If only I had just got up and gone… it’s real easy to wish we were someone else, we’d do something else, we’d be somewhere else, in our personal life as much as in our professional lives. The funny thing is that we could be… JUST DO IT! A year from now you’ll be wishing you started today…  DO IT!

P.S: If you think it’s weird that I take pictures of myself running, I agree (but I like it)!!! I have this clever iPhone app (Runtastic) that tracks all my runs and asks me to snap a picture of all of them. This way I keep myself accountable and can look back proudly of what I’ve achieved, so why not?

A few days ago I FINALLY got an iPhone! Yes, I could say that it has rocked my world! My old phone officially did everything that an iPhone can, but the shiny bright display, the amazing camera capabilities and the Apps (oh the apps!) has totally converted me to a raving iPhone fan. Instagram was one of the first apps I´ve downloaded and it was one of the best decisions I made this month! Not only did I start using it to document life, but I decided to give a try at socializing, following people…etc and how well it has paid off.  So far I´ve arranged a meeting with Amy & Jocey, the fab ladies behind Weddingchicks (one of the biggest wedding blogs worldwide) and got an inquiry for a wedding in the UK… all because of Instagram, all in the last 4 days!

Sometimes it takes a while for me to give in to new social media trends, but I should just stop fighting it… I´m a millenial, I can handle it and IT IS too much FUN anyway!

The Catalan – Japanese wedding of Tania and Yuya was filled with sweet details incorporating both of their cultures. Yuya and his family was wearing traditional Japanese clothes and there were small Japanese details gracing the reception and dinner tables like origami birds made by Yuya´s parents, green tea in test tubes with personalized labels as wedding favors and sake in original Japanese cups. Meanwhile, most of the menu items were typical Catalan delicacies like seafood risotto, olives or patatas bravas. (p.s. The mojito sorbet with mint foam was just divine! ))

I need to take a moment to thank Carole from Marry Me in Spain for orchestrating a flawless day. Everything was beautiful up to the very last detail. The gorgeous Masia Ribas was the perfect location for their celebration, the outdoor sunset ceremony in the mansion´s garden was sweet, simple and made everyone laugh.

Tania, Yuya, your day was perfect and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. I feel incredibly lucky for having been invited to capture your love. Enjoy the images!

I´ve learned that putting on traditional Japanese clothes is hard work! Instructions were necessary…  I have a new found respect for women wearing kimonos… it takes hourssssss to put on the many many layers and all the small details to complete the outfit, which I could observe during the preparation of Yuya´s mother.

Tania´s simple yet chic Pronovias gown was her something borrowed (from a friend).

I loved the location of the ceremony at the Masia Ribas. The chairs were placed in a half circle for a more original and familiar feel. The consistent use of baby´s breath in the ceremony decoration, in Tania´s bouquet and in her hair made this simple flower really shine!

The ceremony was cute and funny (As they already officially got married at the townhall beforehand they already exchanged rings, which they forgot to take off for the ceremony… it made everyone laugh )

I loved shooting these two after their ceremony….. cuteness overload!!!

The cocktail hour/reception was perfect with mouthwatering appetizers and a rustic seafood risotto and frittata bar!

Carole installed a photo booth for thecocktail hour with lots of beautiful and funny props.

The wedding cupcakes were a gift from one of Tania and Yuya´s friends. The personalized cake toppers were a huge hit among the guests and the marzipan figurines looked so much like them!

I have difficulties sleeping lately, but not because I’m stressed or have too many things on my mind, but simply because I’m excited for everything that I have ahead of me and I cannot wait to jump out of bed in the morning! Becoming a full time photographer has been the hardest, most fulfilling and most exciting adventure I’ve ever been on. I’m loving all my awesome projects, shooting my amazing clients (most of whom become instant friends), I love editing their pictures and I love connecting with other photographers and wedding industry members! I also have been focusing on doing exciting, new and adventurous things in my free time lately and I’m happy. I don’t know if I’ve ever been this happy. My life is not perfect, not at all, but I choose to look beyond the imperfections, believe that everything happens for a reason and trust and know that everything will fall into place and right now, everything is exactly as it should be and I’m seizing the day. (oh the power of positive thinking! )

Making a jump, realizing your dream and than traveling on the rocky path of making it happen is not easy…. but than again, nothing worth having comes easy right? People tell me that I was brave, that I did something most people wouldnt have the courage to do (changing career paths and deciding out of thin air that I wanted to become a photographer) but I disagree… anyone can do it! ANYONE…. you only live once but if you do it right, once is enough! (sorry, I think I’ve spent too much time on my Pinterest quote board lately ) I guess what I’m trying to say is this… CARPE DIEM! Live your dream! What is the worst thing that could happen? You could fail. But wouldn’t you rather fail than never know if things could have worked out?

Thanks to some early morning rainfall we had the whole lake to ourselves and tons of fun trying not to fall in the icy water and trying to attract the ducks (p.s ducks dont like croissants!!! lesson learned ) I loved to observe how Ester and Sergio love each other and how comfortable, happy and fulfilled they are in married life. Thank you guys for allowing me to capture your love. You were true superstars!
