I’m amazed that I have quite a collection of e-books on and magazines on my iPad now. I really like that I can have all them in one nifty gadget ready for my reading pleasure anytime I want. Kobo really has a vast collection of books and I can often find coupon codes to use so the books I buy are always discounted. I don’t think they have ITIL Books but they have books written by my favorite authors so I’m happy about that. And my magazine subscriptions at Zinio, it’s so great to be up to date with the latest and greatest in fashion, entertainment, parenting, home decoration and so much more. Really these two alone make buying the iPad more than worth it.

Experimenting….

A friend of mine who has two daughters in primary school has been telling me how challenging the curriculum is for primary school and she’s really devoting a lot of time tutoring her kids and making sure they do well at school. Just last week she was trying to conduct an experiment for her eldest daughter’s science project. I wonder if there will be any lab balance left after their experiment is done. My daughter will be in primary school next year and I hope I can guide her to do the best she can too.

Digiscrapping for her

I have a friend who is a paper scrapbooker for years now, like me she started when her first child was born. Now she also have two kids and a full time job which makes making time for paper scrapping very difficult. She recently asked me to tell her all about digital scrapbooking and she wants to learn how to scrap using adobe photoshop. I gave her links to my favorite scrapbook stores and told her she can learn more by clicking here and reading all the tutorials. She figured it will take less time to scrapbook digitally than doing it the traditional way.

Can you hear me?

I want to get a nice present for my husband for this birthday and I think a new shure headphones could be one of my options. Both of us listen to music of watch movies and TV shows at night when the kids are in sleeping so this could be something useful for me as well. I have a few months to think about this so I’m in no rush at all but I’m already browsing online for ideas. He’s not the easiest person to shop for in terms of unique gift ideas and I always resort to common ones like shirts but this time I want to splurge a little bit. He’s into music as he plays the base guitar so something from the music store is on the top of my list.

I’m doing well scrapping wise this month and I’m so glad to be doing Project Life too. I don’t scrap a page every other day like I use to when my eldest wasn’t three and stays home with me but I still love this hobby so much. A special necklace

I was hoping to buy a necklace for myself last Christmas but I got so busy that I totally forgot to order one and now it’s January. I want to purchase a personalized necklace with engraved pendants, I really like a few online sellers at Etsy and I have marked my favorites so far. I would like to have three discs for pendants each with engraved names of the three most important people in my life. This will be a special necklace but not as expensive as redenvelope heart jewelry. I will browse online stores again and hopefully make a purchase before this month ends, it’s a very late Christmas present for me.

I love that my daughter is getting more interested in music, wait let me rephrase that…my husband is glad that our daughter is getting more interested in music lately. If you ask me I’d rather she concentrate on her ballet and chinese classes but dear ol’ hubby said that if his princess wants to learn guitar or piano we have to support her all the way. I’m not against it really afterall my husband play bass guitar and we have several guitars here at home including a lap steel guitar I’m just concerned if it will be a little too much for my daughter to handle. Well we won’t know until we try right so I’m browsing different sites for classes and see how it goes.

For her rides

When you have a daughter who loves to get into those kiddie rides at the mall or buy those small toys in small round containers it is better if you have a lot of one dollar coins in your purse ready….at all times. It will save you a lot of time if you have a coin purse dedicated for this that way you don’t have to rummage through all the contents of your purse to get that coveted coin. We don’t buy the girls toys whenever we go out but I do give in for a ride or two, it doesn’t cost much but it makes my little girl very happy (how can I say no really).

On the go

As a mom to a preschooler and a baby I’m always on the go. When my youngest was a newborn she didn’t like being in the city select stroller unlike her sister who can sleep and be comfortable in it when she was born. It was a challenge since I have to drop off and pick up my eldest as school. We’ve tried several strollers but it always ended up with her crying so much minutes after we put her in it. So for a few months I’ve been using carriers and wraps to take her with me wherever I go. It was great and she was happy in it but as the months pass by and she got heavier it became too much for my back. I knew I have to try the stroller one more time. I hope she will like being in it this time.
