This thermostat got my heat pump working again, and I'm expecting a considerable decrease in my electric bill. My old Chronotherm III quit after 15 years, and suddenly the heat strips were being activated for nearly all the heat. Once I opened the side of the air handler and discovered which one of my 8 wires was not being used, connecting the new thermostat was pretty easy. The directions for programming the thermostat are not as clear as they should be. *Maybe* holding the button down for about 5 seconds will get you into the programming mode, but you might want to plan to hold it down a bit longer, 10-15 seconds. I spent a lot of time holding the button down for the shorter period and not getting into the programming mode. If I'd given it 5-10 seconds more, the initial programming attempt would have been a lot less frustrating. Advice: don't count seconds--just hold the button down until the programming screen appears. One more thing: Plan to have two AA alkaline batteries available. Unlike the Chronotherm III which came with batteries, the RTH7500D does not come with batteries.

I didn't give it 5 stars only because I've only had this thermostat running for 3 weeks now with no hiccups. It's fairly easy to program for each day of the week and can have multiple daily start/stop times, too. I started by opening up the old thermostat while it was operational, writing down all the wire connections,(I had 8) and then emailing that info to Honeywell tech support. They responded within 2 days with the correct wiring for the RTH7500. Installing was easy. Make sure the power is off to the compressor/pump and no voltages are on any of the wires before you install this thermostat. Also, if there is a big hole where the wires come through the wall, make sure you plug it up as best as you can. This could cause your thermostat to turn on more than it should. Hopefully it will have paid for itself by the end of winter.

This is my first programmable thermostat and I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get it. It was simple to install and program. The whole process took me about 30 minutes and I am not the most handy person in the world. Already paid for itself after the first heating bill.

I have 2 forced air systems that are 22 years old and I wanted to get 2 thermostats that I could use when I upgraded the system to a newer multi-stage system. These worked out of the box perfectly. I don't know how much money they will save me but they have been reliable so far. They have quite a number of settings but I've kept them pretty simple. I would definitely recommend them.

This was easy to install and program. The backlit light is perfect when and if you want to make a adjustment late at night.

I bought the solar planel in hopes that it would supply enough power to my battery to keep it from dying. Well. Without the solar panel my car sterio among other things would have my battery completely drained. I went out yesterday and two weeks later the car started right up. Keep in mind this charger will not charge your battery from completely dead. It will however keep your battery from dying as fast. I'm impressed!

My Sunforce 5 watt trickle charger is used to keep up a battery on my travel trailer while is sits not being used. It works great and does just what I wanted it to do. As far as the company I bought it from, it got here promply and is just what they said it was.

The Sunforce 50022 5W amorphous solar panel is fantastic. Rugged, exceeded all of the manufacturer's claims, and is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this because I have a '99 dodge dakota that I only use sparingly. At most once a week, but usually it sits 10-12 days between use. With the drain of the theft system I would always have to give it a jump to get it going, or put the battery on a charger the night before. Now I can just hop in and go. It keeps my battery fully charged. I just put it on the dash when I park it. I live in northern Michigan, so I am not blessed with the most sunlight, but it's enough. Amazon, get rid of the blister pack!

I have had this for over a year and it has held up like a champ though I do worry at times about breaking it as there is no protection for the glass covering the photoelectric cells. The only reason this is not a five star review is the way Sunforce handles internet orders. Instead of allowing you to place your order with your credit card like any intelligent company does you have to send your contact information and they contact you. **This defeats the whole purpose of having an online ordering option, Sunforce!** Worse they say that they will contact you the next business day and instead waited until early the day after that to contact me and the person I talked too didn't understand why having it set up this way was stupid. All I wanted was to order a replacement part for one that was broke by accident not to talk to a salesman who would likely try to get me to order stuff I didn't need. I lucked out and found a local place to get a replacement from but Sunforse really needs to fix their online ordering system.

I've had it for a year and only need it during the winter, so it may have had roughly 6+ months of usage total. I've had no trouble with it so far. The silver antibacterial strip was doing fine until just now when I noticed black fuzz growing in the water and around the ultrasonic vibrator at the bottom (where the mist comes out of). Up until this time, I'd done nothing to the water to prevent it and never descaled it, so I consider to be really good vs other humidifiers I've had.

I purchased the cool mist ultrasonic humidifier because my apartment gets so dry in the winter time. I already tried one of those other humidifiers that works by a fan blowing up against a filter that absorbs water from a tank. Unfortunately that humidifier was more trouble than it was worth; it required constant cleaning, made too much noise, and really didn't humidify the room as well as it could have. I was pleasantly surprised by this specific humidifier! It was silent, sent out a visible fog of water particles, and efficiently went through an entire tank of water. In just one night of usage I was already breathing easier, felt my skin rejuvenated, and slept better. I would recommend this humidifier to anyone.

I tried a couple filter-less humidifiers to no avail. They're cheaper but demand a LOT more maintenance, and simply don't work! This pretty thing does not only look sexy as hell, but it also keeps my dry-ass bedroom totally moist (yeah, I said it, MOIST!) and breathable. It's really easy to refill and the controls are very good. For this price point, this is an awesome choice. Go Air-o-Swiss!

After one winter season of using this humidifier, it just stopped working altogether. Customer service walked me through possible fixes with no results. He then transferred me to the people who arrange for returns and I was stonewalled there. They took my email address and told me someone would be in contact but it never happened. I called again and after many apologies I was told that someone would contact me by email to arrange for return. Never heard from them. Unbelievable for a product that is supposed to be top-of-the-line.

Got this humidifier when I got a wood pellet stove to heat my house. The humidifier has not been off since I got it about two months ago. A real workhorse! TOTALLY silent too! I can adjust the humidity level with a dial and I can adjust the amount of "humidity" the humidifier is putting into the room. Both nice features. I looked at many, glad I got this one!

I bought this hoping to equalize the temperature in the room farthest from the furnace. It's pretty loud, but the tone is low enough to be somewhat soothing. I had every intention of ripping out the fans and replacing them with quiet CPU fans but my daughter doesn't mind. It's made a slight improvment, but not worth the price. I actually considered returning it, but the company was going to only issue a credit and they don't make anything else I need.

My house has a 12'X12' bedroom that's always about 10 degrees F hotter or colder than the rest of the house on days when AC or heat is required. I wasted a lot of time trying to balance this by closing other registers in other rooms. Even adding another vent to the room didn't help. This device has been able to cut the temperature difference to about 4 degrees F. I don't know if the thermostat switch really works as I just turn it on or off manually. It's also noisy: sounds like a large portable electric fan on medium or high despite its small size.

I really have little to complain about except that the fans are so darned loud. There is a constant 2000 hz (?) whine/drone from the fans. Also, while I think that the volume of air was increased, I wouldn't say that these fans increased it by very much and I'm only gauging this by the flow of air around my hand. I plan to return it soon.

We have two bedrooms in the house that are always 2-4 F colder than the rest of the house. That is especially noticeable on cold windy days. We bought one of these things to try it out in the room used as an office. We ordered straight from Airflow Products, and not Amazon. The way it is listed on Amazon is somewhat counterintuitive -- from the manufacturer you can order a specific kit that matches your register; from Amazon you have to order the fan and the adapter separately. Now I know how to size them so I will probably get it from Amazon next time. The installation was trivial. For a more permanent installation you have to drill two holes for the screws. If you use an adapter you have no choice but to drill two holes. Once installed it is relatively easy to set up and get going. It appears to turn on regardless of the thermostat setting when the warm air is blowing through the register. It is also louder than I'd like for a product like this. That is why I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5. The loudness issue is important. The fans appear to be low-voltage units much like the ones used in computer power supplies. You can get near-silent fans from computer parts suppliers and it is not clear why Airflow Products chose to save on the fans. On the low fan speed setting it is decent. Aside from noise, it does exactly what it claims it will do. It pulls air from warmer parts of the house into the room. We only have one register in the office so it really is pulling the air from other parts of the house. That makes me think that it may make the room next door to the office colder -- but that happens to be the other room where we want the booster fan. We will see how it behaves in the office and we will order another one for the bedroom soon.

Ok, so I live in a typical small, 3BR, midwest split level home built in the 70's. Probably everyone who's ever lived in one of these (LOTS of you)will probably agree that the upstairs is ALWAYS hotter in summer and cooler in winter - especially the smallest BR - am I right? In the past 4 years, we've spent TONS of $ installing a new furnace, a new air conditioner and a whole house fan in the attic, trying to improve the circulation. While all of these helped (& of course have lowered my energy costs), NOT ONE made such a marked drastic improvement in the room temp as this little gem. I love it, my baby who sleeps in that room loves it - it works great and I think the peeps who disagree might have unrealistic expectations of it. I do have one concern about the safety of it - the fan is recessed down into the vent, but I still think my son could reach his fingers down to it - he's shown an interest. Babies are very curious and not too smart. When he's playing on the floor in his room, I always make sure its turned off.

This is a really good electronic timer. It was easy to set up and works fine. I was looking for a alarm clock that I can set up for a whole week so that I wont be bothered in the morning on the weekends. Guess what, I am using this as my alarm clock now. I hooked up a pair of computer speakers to this which is connected to a cable box. And the cable box is set to my favorite music channel. So every morning I wake up listening to my favorite music. I have set the timer with different settings for Mon through Friday and for the weekends. They are also set to turn off after one hour. The cool thing is this can be used to have up to 21 different settings. I also have set up the speaker to turn off at 11.45 in the night. I can turn on the music by pressing the on off switch when I go to bed and don't have to worry to turn it off. Great product and worked right out of the box.

There are several secrets to programming this device. From reading the reviews you can tell that some people figured them out right away after reading the directions, some had difficulty, and some never figured them out and returned the device as defective. Secret 1: OK doesn't mean OK. It means cancel the setting I just finished programing. To keep the setting you have to push PROG after setting the minutes. Secret 2: An event is not an on-off cycle. It is just one time setting. To get an on-off you need to program two events. If you program an on time for event 1 and then an off time for event 1 you will find that the on time is gone. You can do on settings and off settings in any order. The device just executes the change of state when that time is reached for that day. Secret 3: You have to push the ON/OFF button when you plug it in the first time after programming it. After that it operates by itself. Secret 4: Dusk and dawn settings override time settings. I didn't set any dusk or dawn events so I didn't figure out the details of this one but if your device isn't going on and off when you expected it to, check your dusk and dawn settings. If you plug a cord into the bottom half of the outlet it is then possible to plug in this timer at an angle at the top and it will still work. It is too big to go in straight if something else is plugged in. It is wide enough to take up three spaces on a power strip. There is a three prong outlet on each side of this timer. Both follow the same program. Once you figure out how to program it, this is an excellent timer. It has only been one day since I got the program working so I have no opinion on the durability of it. The secrets I listed are explained in the directions but obviously a lot of us didn't pick up on them at first reading.

This has been a great addition to our office. I have the under-sink mini water heater, and bottled water cooler hooked to this and only set it up once. It does the rest. It automatically adjusts for daylight savings time.

This is the perfect timer, dependable and very solid. I currently have 2 timers, running 14 on/off cycles per day using all of the 28 programs "flawlessly". This timer is very easy to use and program, I "HIGHLY" recommend this timer 100% Jerry G.

The set up is a little confusing but not that bad. Once set up the timer works great. My old one would not operate compact florescents or LEDs. This time does.

This product doesn't work as promised for 1.6 low flow toilets. The only trick is holding down the short flush button for a few seconds as others have mentioned. But given that - we love this device. There is no "flapper" and therefore no "flapper leaking" problems or tangling with a handle mechanism anymore. We love it! I think it is a quieter flush too! It was easy to install in about 5 minutes.

This installed pretty easily even though I have an unusual toilet tank. It looks good, is easy for new users to figure out and so far has been working great for the 3 weeks since installation. I worked out that it should pay for itself in 6 to 12 months. The instructions weren't perfect though -- I documented my install and poorly noted instructions on my blog -- [..]

I feel like I have really saved quite a bit on water from using the HydroRight. It's a great device that is very easy to install. I definitely recommend turning the water off coming into your tank before you start installing it. I'm impressed with how little water it uses to flush and still manages to clear out the bowl. I have it on a 1.6 gallon toilet and it's working great (double savings in comparison to pre-1994 toilets). I've tried convincing others to buy this little device as well because it honestly works. My only drawback is the actual buttons. It would be easier if the button were a handle/flusher because the button hits the toilet lid. In other words, you always have to move the lid out of the way to flush. However, it's easy to choose between the full flush and the partial flush but I think the button sizes should be reversed from the way they are (the partial flush button is the smaller button on the device). Overall, I would rate it as a 4 out of 5.

I have to say that installation was super easy. literally took me 20 minutes and that's cause i took my time reading the directions. I didn't have to use any tools or even turn off the water. This product does exactly what it's meant to do. The only complaint i have is that it takes a good amount of pressure to push in the buttons. Usually its not that intuitive to push that hard. Guests usually get confused with the thing. If they had a better flusher mechanism i would say this would be perfect. But can't complain about the price i bought it for and the amount its gonna save me.

Like others have said, the single flush does not work well, you have to hold the button in for about 3 seconds for it to flush toilet paper, otherwise it would get 5 stars. I installed this in a 1980s era American Standard Plebe toilet. I also bought the MJSI HydraClean Fill Valve at the same time because it was recommended for toilet tanks with the old ballcock which may interfere with the installation of the converter. My ballcock did not interfere with the installation so I didn't install the fill valve. I may install it in the future if my old fill valve dies, or I just get the ambition to mess with the toilet plumbing. I will be buying two more Dual Flush converters for my other 2 AS Plebe toilets,

Horrible product, horrible company! I've had 3 in the last 18 months...giving up and buying another brand. Honeywell will not honor the 5 year warranty....they make you call a contractor...I've gotten two quotes...one for $300 and one for $140...can just buy a new unit for that much money....which is exactly what hey are hoping that you do. Even the 3 contractors that I spoke with in the Houston area have said that this is not a good unit....they keep breaking.

I use these in commercial buildings as they have a very flexible programming and auto switch from heating to cooling. I have 6 in service now. I like that I can set a schedule and forget it. Also can lock the schedule and either allow just the temp setting to be adjusted till the next period or not allow any adjustments by the tenants or employees. (If someone turns on the heat in the conference room and forgets to turn it off, it will go back to the scheduled temp automatically when the next scheduled period starts instead of staying on all night or weekend.) If adjustments are allowed you can limit how low the AC can be set and how high the heat can be set. We don't allow the AC to be set below 76 or the heat to be set above 72. Once the initial setup is done, the programming of the schedule is easy and intuitive. You can do multiple days at once or one day at a time. The schedule can be different every day if necessary. Would be just as good for residential applications. Great stat.

This is the second Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 I've had. Easy to install, easy to program, and works great. I have a forced hot air gas heat system and central A/c. This unit has many programming parameters such as wake, leave, return, sleep, and 7 seperate days to program if you wish. Or you can select all weekdays seperate from weekends. If you want to raise the temp a little over you programmed temp you just touch the up arrows and it is done until the next programmed event, or you can lock it in at that temp. Very nice.

I bought the product at Amazon. I installed it myself and it works well. It is a nice product. I like the detailed settings, programmability, backlight and touchscreen. I had a question about 1-stage transformer vs 2-stage transformer. I emailed Honeywell and they said it is a contractor model and won't answer the question. Bad Honeywell!!! I talked to a few friends and figured it out. The setup was a breeze and requires that you have the manual handy. That was no big deal. You need a 3 mm small screwdriver which I picked up from HomeDepot. I have set the fan to circulate during most time periods. Let's see how that turns out. One of the concerns is that it seems to cycle (turn on and off) a bit too frequently. I had set the 0240 (cycle rate) to 5. I have changed it to 3 today. Again wait and watch. The click when the system changes some setting is loud and a little annoying. The clicking sound should be configurable IMO. I had some confusion about setting 0180 - Fan Control. I have set it to 0 even though I have a gas furnace. I wish there there was more detailed description on the option. All in all a good product. If your current thermostat is a Honeywell (as in my case), it is a breeze to install. The clicking of the relays is a little annoying. I think Honeywell should have a way to have that quieter. I figured out the Cycles Per Hour (CPH) and Fan control settings. Now everything works well. Hopefully it will pay for itself in a couple of months. Highly recommended

First, I was pleased with the speedy delivery. Came in good shape and I got it set-up in 15 minutes! I was able to clear my driveway and side walk in half the time. It can clear up to 10 inches of dry snow, when wet, probably around 6 inches. In general, it was a great buy. My very first snow thrower, lovin it!!!

Delivery was quicker than expected. Product performed as stated. However advertisement claimed to throw snow 30' in my case It only threw snow about 20' which really wasn't a problem. Light weight but had no problem with snow up to 15". Snow drifts up to 2 1/2 feet were tackled by undercutting the drift and letting the snow fall in the clesned area. I did have a problem with snow piled at the end of the driveway by the street plow. I had to physically pickup the snowblower and place it on top of the pile ( like I said the machine is light.) If you have snow deeper than 15" I would not recommend this machine.

Although we purchased this item slightly used, it works like new. It has been a tremendous help. Unlike the larger self-propelled gas snow throwers, this electric snow thrower must be pushed through the snow. With effort and practice, you'll be clearing snow as well as the larger units. We also purchased a 100 foot indoor/outdoor extension cord and a GFI outlet. It's easy to manage the cord outdoors, but a reel would be helpful for storing the long extension cord. The on/off switch on the handle is simple to use. When moving the machine backwards, you must hold the right or left side in order not to run the machine. It is so light and compact that it can be stored indoors. Because it is smaller capacity, it must be used cautiously so as not to break the drive belt. If you listen to the motor, you can tell immediately when you are attempting to clear too much snow at once. Just as clearing half-paths works with the larger snow throwers, it also works with this unit. As other reviews indicate, if you want to clear EOD snow, it works best to chop it first with a shovel, then clear a reasonable amount at a time. When the snow was more than a foot, I lifted the machine to skim off the top layer first, then cleared lower layers. While it has limited ability with slushy snow, it will throw the snow aside. Even without WD-40, the slushy snow clogged the chute only once and I used an ordinary wooden spoon handle to clear it. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one of these. This model is a wonderful time saver and easy to use. A great product!

I bought this unit before the big snow in February 2010. I highly recommand it.

Right out of the box in 15 minutes I was blowing snow. 100 foot drive and parking area. What took 4 hours to shovel was clear to the asphalt in less than a hour. Had a amaller model previously but this one sure moves the snow 30+ feet with ease. even heavy wet snow with ice and sleet thrown in. Great electric model snow thrower and its almost maintenance free.
