How is the blackberry bold 9900 battery life?

ll the reviews say the battery life sucks and people are charging it twice a day, I personally would be a average type user (not on the phone 24/7). I have also herd the "2nd" batch of them has the battery problem fixed and its lasting 2 days now, I'm thinking of getting a white one so i'm assuming that would be 2nd or even 3rd batch, Anything related to the 9900 is appreciated.

Battery life really sucks! Actually, before I got mine, I had heard that battery life wasn't that good but I never thought it would be this bad.
Some people say that theirs have gotten better after updating the operating system but I have also heard from others that their phone bricked after doing that, so I'm kind of afraid of upgrading my OS.

Anyway, I love the keyboard and the bigger and responsive touch screen, the resolution and how much faster it is for web browsing than previous models, but this phone has too many issues: it gets hot, the camera is not that good, it freezes, a lot of people are on their second or third replacement because of bricking issues or build defects, etc.

I suggest that before you buy, you check out the crackberry forums on the Bold 9900 section.I do remember reading a post about someone who got a white one and how he thought that the white ones were better than the first models so you might be right about that.

Blackberry bold 9900 unlocked T-mobile branded?

Hi, I'm planning to purchase a new cellphone and I chose the bold 9900. I was going to buy it on amazon, and I chose the item. the problem is that I read the customers reviews and there were a lot of people complaining about that it was a T-mobile branded phone and that they couldn't use 3G.

Can you explain me what is the problem if it's said that the phone is unlocked? Can I use any type of SIM card with this unlocked T-mobile phone?

It all depends on what carrier you are going to use with your unlocked Blackberry Bold 9900.

How is it working?
The Blackberry Bold 9900 is a GSM device which can come with different radio support, it comes on those versions:
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800
HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100

If the Blackberry Bold 9900 is a T-Mobile branded device it will work on t-mobiles 4G speeds using the frequency bands that T-mobile uses to provide the UMTS on thier network using those GSM bands:
1700 MHz/2100 MHz

At&t uses 850 MHz UMTS/HSPA and 1900 MHz UMTS/HSPA Bands to provide 3G speeds.
So At&t branded Blackberry will work on t-mobile if unlocked but it will use the 1900 MHz frequency band which used by t-mobile to provide 2G (EDGE) speeds.

So, you just need to know what are the bands that your carrier using and then buy the right Blackberry that have the right hardware inside of it to support the speeds.

Blackberry Bold 9900 from Rogers, Bell, Telus will work with H+ speeds on At&t... If the phone is unlocked those carriers are using the same bands so there won't be a problem to get the speeds..

But, A Blackberry from those carriers will only have 2G speeds with a SIM card from T-Mobile.
If you buy a T-Mobile Blackberry bold 9900 it will work with carrier such as WIND, Mobilicity & Cincinnati Bell.

Most of the devices will work on European carriers and even worldwide on most carrier..
The problem is only with the north American networks and as listed above you can see what will fit your carriers sim cards to get full speeds.
About "unlocked" phones... Basically when you buy a Blackberry from a carrier it comes branded to the carrier with the OS build and the service books installed on it to fit the carrier.. Those things can be changed.. Another thing is a SIM lock which is set on a device.

The sim lock is a security which locks the phone to work only with the carrier it's branded to... For example a Blackberry Bold 9900 from Bell Mobility won't work with Rogers SIM cards or with At&t SIM cards or with any carriers sim card other then Bells sim card... Because it's locked..

Blackberry unlocking (which is legal and safe) is simply removing that sim lock from the device making it a SIM free phone that can be used with any carrier worldwide.
Simply, if the sim lock is active then when you put a sim card from other carrier you won't get any signal with the device and you can't use it for calls, sms and data... But if the Blackberry is unlocked then it will read any sim card from any carrier.

Any Blackberry that has a GSM radio device including the Bold 9900 and the Bold 9930 can be unlocked using remote unlocking services for Blackberry mobile devices, it's done by inserting the unique unlock code that can unlock the device. Services such as "Blackberry Unlocking" - http://www.blackberry-unlocking.org can be used to unlock any Blackberry in minutes.

When you get your Blackbery Bold 9900 unlocked the SIM lock will be removed and the device will no longer be limited to the brand carrier you got it from... Then you can use it with any carrier worldwide... A T-mobile Blackberry Bold 9900 will also work with At&t SIM card but on EDGE (2G) and with any other GSM sim card... Unlocking a Blackberry is a good thing to do with your device because it simply removes some limits that was set into it and then you can sell it faster or use it with other carrier and that's how you save money and keep your phone if traveling (can be used with prepaid sim cards) or switching carriers.

The CDMA version Blackberry Bold 9930 is also included with a GSM radio and also can be unlocked and used with GSM service providers...

Bottom line, if your Blackberry is unlocked you can use it with any carrier.. But there are a few builds of the device so the limits are not related to the unlocking it self and unlocking a phone will remove the limits of being bound to the carrier the phone is branded with.

It's also legal and safe to unlock a Blackberry, it won't effect the settings or anything and there is no need to unlock the phone more then once even if you wipe it the device will stay unlocked.

So just see what are the bands your carrier are using for 3G/H+ and get a Blackberry Bold 9900/9930 that supports those bands...
You can unlock the device by yourself even if it's a 9930 Blackberry so if you have a good deal for a new device it's worth to do it.

for christmas, my dad said he would buy me a new phone to replace my 6 year old iphone 3G(no, not the 3GS, just 3G). so i'm stuck between the dilemma of the blackberry bold 9900 and the iphone 4s. there were mixed reviews for the iphone 4s, some horrible, some phenomenal. could you help me make some comparisons between the two phones following the criteria here?

It doesn't list its Blackberry app on the page but it offers you a barcode reader download that is only available to BB's and possibly IPhones. I use it and it is pretty accurate.

Blackberry Curve acting crazy after downloading a theme!?

I guess I was a little too bored and decided to download a theme from here ... http://www.berryreview.com/2008/08/04/3-free-os-45-themes-for-8100-8300-8700-8800/ - Once I finished installing it on to the phone, the phone started acting crazy. Such as: a window continuously popping up telling me how many anytime minutes I have...the scroll ball is not controlling the cursor properly...the escape key is not working correctly taking me to random screens...

And yes, I tried taking the battery out and rebooting several times...Nothing. No change.

Which should I get: Blackberry Bold or Samsung Epix?

I am going to be upgrading my cell phone with AT&T soon, in 2 months to be exact, and I need to know which is better, the Blackberry Bold or Samsung Epix. I have never had a Blackberry, but I have had Samsung phones and Windows Mobile-based phones. I really like the Samsung's touch screen, but I like the Blackberry's keyboard much more than the Samsung's. High quality mechanism is always made by Apple. Other companies try to do in months, what Apple has achieved in years. This of course, doesn't work.

So, my answer would be iPhone 4.

And, HTC Desire doesn't have built in turn-by-turn navigation. Only newer HTC phones, or if the phones has the latest firmware (which is very unlikely). And this only works in US and UK.

EDIT: There is a reason why I haven't included the RIM BlackBerry Torch...

Well it depends what you want to do with your phone. If you love all the gadgets, apps and games, the iphone is a clear winner. It also does look very good. The problem with the iphone is the cost. Very expensive. You have to pay alot for the phone and if you want a decent tarriff that will cost you also.

I have a blackerry and the BBM is great for texting friends who also have them. Very very easy to text as they are buttons not touch screen and its not complicated to use at all. Ring, text and use a camera which is good. Also you wont get ripped off with the tariffs.

IPhones are great for playing games, listening to music, email, surfing the web, etc. In other words its for people who have lots of time to screw around on their phone. Its time that celebrities simply do not have on a daily basis and when they do, they're not spending it on their phones.

Blackberries on the other hand are great at managing contacts, emails, texting, scheduling/calendar and various other bits without getting in your way. Blackberries are also known for their security, even at the consumer level.

I've had many opportunities to buy an iPhone and personally they are awesome devices. But I simply just don't have the time to make full use of the iPhone and its awesome features.

The iPhone is for the "I have time to screw around on my phone" kind of user.

I currently have a curve 8330 and am trying to decide whether to upgrade right now to the Bold 9650 or wait it out for something better to come out. Questions I have:
- Can the Bold 9650 play videos online (for example a music video on youtube)?
- How much better is the web browser than what i already have, i obviously know that it's faster, but I mean the way the browser looks, etc. Many webpages do not/will not load on my Curve 8330
- Is the upgrade great enough that I should make the switch now or wait for a better blackberry to come along?

Personal opinions would be great because I have watched review videos and none of them seem to answer my specific questions, especially the one of watching videos online. Please do not tell me to switch carriers because I can't. And please do not tell me to pick a different phone, I would like another Blackberry. Thanks so much!

The 8330 plays YT videos and surfs the web just fine as long as you keep your device maintained and up to date.

The 9650 will do the same.

A BB is similar to a computer. Keep it clean (software) and updated and it will work just fine.

Droid 2 or Blackberry Bold 9650?

I've seen other questions about this but I want a more updated and more "experienced" reply. I have the LG Voyager (which I loved until the inside screen cracked and went black) right now, and i'm due for an upgrade in a week or so. I've heard that the Droid 2 isn't very promising but people are choosing the Android OS over the Blackberry. They both come with the same deal which is buy 1 get 1 free, the Droid priced at 150$ and the Blackberry 100$. I am a touch screen user but I wouldn't mind using a track pad. I've heard many rumors about the Droid not being as promising as it sounds when it comes to battery life and "cheek dialing." Are these true, does the cheek accidentally dial the number if you hold it to tight or at a weird angle? I haven't read any bad reviews about the Bold though. Oh, and i'm only getting the 15$ data package plan for the phone, so I only have 150MB of web and email and what not. The thing is, Id rather have a a phone that is a "step back" if you know what I mean rather than a newer phone which isnt working as well as it should? I'd really appreciate any feedback from users of both phones, so I can get a good comparison between the two, because they are completely different OSs and I dont want to pick the wrong one. And if there is a phone like the "Blackberry Torch" that is coming out for verizon in the next month or so, I'd like to know about it, because I can totally wait for that. Thanks a lot!

It really depends what you use your phone for. If you love Apps, then Blackberry isn't the phone for you. It's a great phone (I have one) but it's only a great phone if you actually use it to work (I email A LOT) and calling and texting. It's not a "fun" gadget phone by any means, so if that's what you're looking for then I suggest not getting a Blackberry.

My contract just ended with verizon and I want a new phone. I've been thinking about getting a Blackberry but before I shell out the $30 a month I want to make sure its worth it. I want this phone mainly to text, bbm, go on facebook and occasionally surf the internet. I will not be downloading tons of apps. How long is the battery life (does it last a few hours or a few days). Is the internet really fast or will i be waiting 5 mins just for one page to load. I'm switching to Verizon soon, and I was planning on getting the Tour. I've heard bad reviews about it - the trackball, no internal memory, no wifi. Than I heard the Tour 2 or bold 9650 is coming soon. I really need a new phone soon and since they've already delayed the bold 9650 before I don't know if I want to wait any longer before just getting the Tour. If I do decide to just go ahead and get the Tour would I be able to switch to the Bold 9650 if it comes out within 30 days for free? And if not, would you recommend me buying the tour or waiting?

FYI: All blackberry phones have internal memory. What they are referring to is a lack of it...

The Tour is definitely usable. It's bad reviews hail from it's comparison to the bold 9700 (which is awesome).

I would say that if you're switching real soon, like within a couple days or the week, to NOT rely on being able to switch to Tour 2/Bold. There is not guaranteed release date (as of now), which is to say it might not come out in 30 days. Grrrr verizon.

Case 1: Apathetic
If you don't care about the Tour 2 that much or absolutely LOVE the upgrades. Then get the Tour, there are many happy users.

Case 2: Addict
If you are wishy washy about the Tour 1 and really really want the Tour 2 (like me). I would wait (if possible) to sign up, otherwise suck it up and follow Case 1.

i filmed a video using my blackberry storm and when i went to view it it read unsupported format.

Your mac has no media player that can support/read the video file.. Download a media player software like VLC player. That shouldn't be a problem or search for softwares that supports the format type of your video. If you want to play it on your blackberry, 1st you need to convert the video to the format which blackberry can support. Search in google for video converters. There are lots of free converters to download.

Help with windows movie maker!?!?!?

Alright so I have a pretty big project due tomorrow and I used a digital camera (Panasonic Lumix) to record my video. Not wanting to take up too much space I used the memory card from my cellphone (and msd card adapter) to record the video. When I synced it to the computer the video was no where to be found! But it still shows up on the camera. So I used the normal memory card for the camera and the video showed up on the computer this time in quicktime format, but when I tried to import it I can't find the file (it doesn't show up.) Finally I did a video with my blackberry storm and the same thing happened. I know you can use a digital camera for it but I have no idea what's going on. Any advice?

Need help formatting a memory card.?

I have just brought the new Blackberry Storm, I want to put my old memory card from my old phone in it only it comes up with an error message saying the card needs formatting as it cant be read. It is the right card for the phone. I don't know how to do it?? Can it be done?? Its got all my pictures, songs and videos on so I hope it is transferable!!

Put the card in your old phone and transfer all your stuff onto your PC.

You have to put it on your PC because you have to reformat for your Blackberry. After you've backed everything up, place the card in the Storm and there should be an option to format somewhere within the phone. Consult the manual if you cannot find it.

Blackberry's are good for business. If you're a teenager, then i think Iphone would be better, if an adult then blackberry is a good choice for you.
Blackberry's have a nice graphics and very unique design, and what's really good with it is that you can text/send messages to people who have other blackberry's... FOR FREE. There is an app for that in the Iphone app store i THINK.
However Iphone has a very nice wide screen, and almost everyone knows how to use it. It has nice graphics and is very organized, but so is the blackberry.
What you want really just decides on what's best for you. If your friends also have blackberry and you want to save money or something, maybe getting a blackberry is nice. But if you like playing games and listening to a bunch of music while texting friends, Iphone is best.
If you are considering getting a blackberry there are different types with different shapes and sizes so you should look into that and look at the specs to see which one fits you the most.

I know these phones are a lot of money and it's good that you took a precaution and asked people on the internet to see their opinion. What I would do woudl be to think that none of your friends had a phone or something, and you had a choice between a NEW blackberry or a NEW Iphone... Which one suits your taste more? Internet can't decide for you since we don't know your likes or dislikes.... I did put some info down about both phones. I hope it helps (:

Its a jpg file. I went to the link to see what you were talking about. Its trying to save to picture to your PC. So when it asks to open with, it wants you to choose something like windows photo gallery etc. When it wants to save its asking you where to save it on your PC. Typically it will be user pictures, or downloads..

Then you can transfer it to your memory card. Or you can just save it right to your memory card by going to crackberry.com mobile. Which is m.crackberry.com I believe.

Does anyone know when the new Blackberry Bold 9650 is coming out for Verizon. All the online rumors suggested a May 27th release date, but that clearly didn't happen. Every time I call Verizon, they are very vague and say they don't know, but this week an employee did confirm they are starting to train them about the phone.

Just called Verizon. I got the vague treatment also. When I asked about the tour 2, she told me she could answer all of my questions, then she proceeded to tell me she doesn't know anything about a Tour 2. It was obviously a canned response. When I brought up wanting to wait for new technology she told me they have several new phones getting ready to be released soon and she would wait if she was in my shoes. The memorial weekend sale on phones, the training rumored and the weird yet somewhat informative response when I called in leads me to believe we will see the Tour 2 / 9650 in early June. Early June has been predicted by a few other sites also so we are getting close... Hopefully.

i turn on my wi-fi, i try connecting to a network. when i pick the network, they all say "Enter this PIN into your wireless router" then it gives me a number. i dont know how to enter a PIN into my router. I can also get to an option where it asks for my pre-shared key, but none of my wifi passwords work for it? No one else i know with a blackberry has this problem.

I'm having random troubles with my extremely new blackberry bold 9650. It had been freezing, so i shut it off, turned it back on - it wouldn't let me unlock my actual phone. Then it when I have it plugged it, it lets me unlock (only sometimes) and it wont let me scroll. I'm freaking out, because I only got this phone about a month, maybe a month and a half ago. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix it !!

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of mobile phones price comparison websites and as with car insurance websites they don't always list the same deals - always best to check if they show exactly how many mobile phone deals they have in their database as a good starting point.

Always check that the text on the website is written in good english as well as there seem to be lots of foreign people setting up these websites at the moment.

Ive had the curve 9300 3g 9months and not a single problem. The 9300 3g and the bold 9780 are very good phones. And there is now the 9360 curve to consider also. I set up my blackberry's voicemail, and I call it and it asks what my temporary password is. One problem, I dont remember it. I thought I did, but it says its wrong, so it must be. Is there the same temporary password they always used, if so what is it. Or, is there a way to call my phone provider and ask about it. Thanks for the help.

How to turn off LED notification light on Blackberry when voicemail is received?

When I get a new voicemail, the LED light blinks on my Blackberry Bold 9700. Is there any way tp turn that off? I checked under nptification settings and it only shows options for visual voicemail... help?

Torch 2 is rumored to come out in August for ATT I've never had a blackberry before so can someone recommend which is best?
I hear the bold is the most heavy duty but the camera is only 3.2 mp, the paint on the torch chips easily and the Torch 2 OS 7 is supposedly buggy and not as good as people expect but both Torchs have 5 MP cameras so please help

I'd get the Torch . I have one & I got it when it first came out . The first one broke within a week , it had the BlackBerry symbol and a red dot flashing continually . The second one's music player broke & wouldn't turn on after about 3 months . I'm currently on the third one and hope that nothing will happen to it :3

I recently damaged my phone some how and it has a white screen but with pixelated lines. I thought it may be water damage so I put it in rice to soak up the moisture. Ok its either one of these two things:

1.) your phones screen from inside has damaged due to pressure and need a new screen. (to check if this is the case, press against the screen in different areas of the screen and see if the lines change etc)

2.) if it isnt answer number 1 then it is more likely the software problem in which case you can take it in to a phone shop and get it repaired for free under warranty.

By the sounds of it i think its answer one. (it isnt cheap to replace screen.

Blackberry keeps reloading the restart screen! Help!?

My boyfriend has been having phone trouble with his Blackberry Curve 8530. He rebooted his phone because his phone requested that a reboot me done. He did a battery pull, the restart screen came up where the white line loads, and as soon as it loads, the clock comes up showing that it's being loaded, the LED light turns red, and then the reboot starts all over again, doing the exact same thing. We cannot get past that screen to do anything.

Hes left the battery out for a half hour, tried removing the memory card etc. What else can we do to try and fix this problem?

Blackberry Curve Screen Broke?

How do I fix a BlackBerry Curve 8520 LCD screen? Okay, There are no cracks in my phone. What happened was I thought I put the phone in my purse and when I got out of my car and shut my door, the phone was hit by the door. I picked it up and the screen is white and has some black spots in the left corner. There are also colored lines. At first I reset my phone about 10 times. That didn't work so I tried to see if the phone was actually functioning. I had set the track pad to make noise when I moved it and that was working and then I tried to dial a number but the keys did not make sound when I typed on them. So, is it safe to assume my phone is functioning but the screen is broke/something wrong with it? Could someone send me a link to a (credible) site that sells BlackBerry parts? And If I got the LCD screen, do you think I could take it somewhere so they could replace it? Or would you recommend me fix it on my own? Please help me out. Thanks so much.

The first thing I would say is that you should not try to fix a phone on your own. The second thing is that you should not waste your money buying spare parts because if you do something wrong, which is very likely, you will just end up making things worse. Final thing is just to take it to a mobile shop, the most reliable is to take it to a proper network shop, eg T-Mobile, O2 etc rather than local run mobile repair shops. There is no point buying parts and then taking it to a shop because they can get the parts themselves and won't take your ones, so you're wasting your money.

To sum up: take it to a proper repair store and pay to get it fixed. The phone costs about £140 brand new, so think about getting it repaired or buying a new one, or an upgrade.

I didn't purchase an additional data plan but the agent told me that Wifi works for free as long as it can connect to a network. My phone says I'm connected to the network but I can only check Yahoo Mail. When I try to browse other webpages, it leads to the page that tells me to go purchase a data plan. Under Browser Options - General Properties, select "Hotspot Browser" or "WIFI Browser" for Default Browser.
Also check the Options (from main menu, or "home" view) - Advanced Options - Browser, that you do have "Hotspot Browser" as the Default Browser Configuration.
Make sure you are connected to a WIFI router (WIFI Indicator lit), and try "Go to..." a known third party site like Yahoo!. Good luck.

Usually vidoes play with 3PG formats on cell phones. If you don't already, I suggest you get Hamster Converter. It's 100% free. And no, no gimmicks, premium crap. Free.

All you do there after getting it is take the video and convert it into 3PG format(If it's not 3pg then it's 3gp one way or the other, but nothing to be confused with by others. )

But im not sure if i could do that and since i dont want a contract with sprint the blackberry may end up still being expensive maybe being even more than the Virgin mobile blackberry. You have to have the virgin mobile phone to get the prepaid service they offer...the reason they charge so much for the phone is due to customers not signing a contract so they need to make money on the sell of the phone itself...sorry...

Yeah, you can make a change. As for the fee, it depends on. If you have a contract with the current provider, usually you should pay $100 for changing a phone number, but as far as I know, some providers won't let you pay if you have used their service for at least one year. If you don't have contact, definitely you won't need pay for it.

Ask the new provider to make a change to the phone number, but be make sure that before changing your current number, you shouldn't stop the service with your current provider, otherwise your phone number will be inactive and your new provider will unable to make a change for you.

To answer your question, yes, it will fit.

The difference between the two devices is really just internal specs. The 9330 is the CDMA version of the 9300, which is a GSM phone. The 9330 has 512MB of RAM, and the 9300 has 256MB of RAM. Though the 9330 is the successor to the 9300, it has a 2 MP camera, which is worse than the 3.2 MP camera found on the 9300.

So I bought this clear, hard plastic case for my Blackberry on eBay. It fits nicely and stuff but I can't take it off. O.o It's hard, does anyone know how I can take it off, without ruining it or anything? My mom says it is one of those that don't come off but seriously, I don't think it is. This is it anyway:

See, it says it's a snap on type but yeah it's really hard. I know this sounds like a dumb question but yeah. I've tried opening it gently, with force, etc etc and it's just ruining my nails. HELP!!!!

I would take a letter opener or a pencil or something sharp and try to seperate the two pieces. If that doesn't work, if you can seperate the case at the snaps a little, try to break it off. This has happened to me before but i used a letter opener and the case came right off. Good luck!

I have just got the 4s.

Fantastic phone. It currently has 700 songs, taking up 6.5gb

it also has games and apps taking up less than half a gb.

The typing is easy. Even my 8 year old can do it!

I haven't sorted out the emails yet, but i believe it does the email direct thing. Not one of my priorities.

Downside? If you sit there at work playing angry birds all day, the battery goes flat pretty fast.

I only know one person with a blackberry and he is waiting for his contract to end so he can get the iphone.

Apple iPhone vs. Blackberry Bold?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had both the Blackberry and the Apple iPhone. I currently have the Blackberry Pearl and love it. Of course I'm waiting for the new Blackberry Bold to come out but I'm also seeing that Apple iPhone is coming out with a 3G phone. I love Blackberry for it's instant email to my phone. Does the iPhone do the same thing or do you actually have to go into your email and check to see if you have any? Also, I'm loving the fact that there's basically an iPod in the iPhone. Would the new Blackberry Bold have the same thing? I'm just curious to know if anyone can comment that has experience in both of these great phones and which phone you would prefer and why. Thanks

Depends on what you want. If you want a more business oriented device, then go for the BB as it has a fully qwerty keyboard. Not to mention you get exchange support, full email, and built gps(depending on the model) If you want a more multimedia oriented device then the iphone may fit your needs as it comes in up to 16gb(at this point of time) of space. Then again the BB does have a SD card slot so you are only limited only based on the number of cards you have or what ever the largest card is out on the market at that point in time.

why does my blackberry have a white screen and a timer when i turn it on?

i turned on my blackberry last night, and it came up as a white screen with a timer. I usually get this for only a few minutes then it comes up as my home screen however it still has the white screen from last night and wont turn off or go back to the home screen.
any ideas why?

Leave your USB plugged and charging for a few hours, and then with the USB still plugged, remove the battery and reinsert it. See if boots up and leave it charging longer, to 100%. Also, don't ever let your batter charge fall below 15%.

yeah so i just got my blackberry 8330 curve back from my mom and it wont charge its stays on a white screen with a battery and a lightening bolt when i have it plug in. i charged it for about 5 hours and then i unplug it and the red light comes on at the top for a few then shuts off. i try to turn on and its flashes then back off

Battery might just be bad -

Contacts with Battery and Phone are Dirty - use rubbing alcohol and QTip and wipe metal parts of battery and metal parts of phone

Contacts with Charger are dirty - With Phonbe Unplugged, wipe contacts of charger with alchol and Qtip and then wipe area and metal where charger plugs in.

why wont my blackberry 8520 turn on?

i have a blackberry 8520 and it recently ran out ov battery and turned itself off.. i plugged the charger in and left it too charge oover night... ever since it turns on to the white screen with the clock in the centre but stays on that screen all the time.. it hasnt crashed as the clock continues to go round.. i have treid both hard and soft reset but it doesnt seem to solve the problem
