Be:Fit is coming to London. From 28th – 30th of March at Old Billingsgate this health and fitness festival for women promises to be an amazing event. The show is split into fitness, nutrition and health zones and is full of amazing brands. There are free talks from experts and classes being hosted over the course of the weekend, it is going. Kirsty Gallacher, Denise Lewis OBE, Victoria Pendleton CBE and Jodie Kidd are to be official ambassadors for the event.

Be:Fit London will hold free fitness classes in a specially built studio with some leading fitness ambassadors such as Leah Kim, Nike’s Global Yoga Ambassador and Anya Lahiri from Barry’s Bootcamp. There will be inspirational talks from top industry experts including athletes and health conscious celebrities like Denise Lewis and Dr Christy Fergusson covering health, nutrition and fitness as well as complimentary health checks. Plus there will be a chance to discover the latest fitness trends and fashions with brands like Lorna Jane, Miss Matahari and Bordini Sport alongside luxe skincare names like Kinetic and Pretty Athletic. Additionally, the nutrition area will offer a wide range of delicious healthy snacks, drinks and advice from experts to help you eat smart.

I’m starting to think of wedding outfits, the first wedding I’m going to this year is in April so I have to hit the high street soon to find the perfect dress. Launching Engaged Wedding Directory

The champagne is chilling as we get ready to launch Engaged Wedding Directory at the end of the month. I’m so excited about how the directory is looking and the wonderful wedding suppliers that we already have on board to grace the pages and offer their expert advice in our featured supplier and advice column. I’ve been sent some images of how the site is looking which I wanted to share, progress is being made and it is looking great.

To celebrate we are having a flash sale of advertising this week with 50% off the cost of directory listings. If you would like to be considered as one of our featured supplier, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Our site will be categorised by region and then type of supplier with suppliers having the option to register for their region and our national category if they are happy to supply their services across the UK.

Phase Eight Bridal Gowns

This week I caught sight of the gorgeous new bridal gown collection by High Street store Phase Eight and I couldn’t resist not sharing an image of one of the new dresses hitting their stores soon. Their new collection is inspired by glamourous Hollywood and we have images of the whole collection featuring next week. This dress is beautiful. I just love the lace detailing and beautiful belt, it is a stunning dress!

The wedding dress collection is available online in our Phase Eight Wedding Boutique and Brides-to-be will also be able to browse the collection at our James Street, London store and the Winchester store which have their very own Wedding Boutiques.

We have been loving mint and pink together at the moment, the colours go together so well and we’ve been pinning a mint and pink inspiration board for a little while. What will 2014 bring for your wedding business?

Tuesday brings our new business matters feature, tips, hints and advice from some of the top folk in the wedding business, we have some great experts gracing the pages of the blog over the coming months to fill you with inspiration for your business.

The start of a new year brings the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and make some new resolutions and plans for the exciting year ahead. While a lot of these resolutions are traditionally personal, why not make it an opportunity to set some business goals? It is a great time to take some time out of the everyday routine and really think about the direction that you want your business to go in. Take some time, a big piece of paper and dream big. I work out my best goals when I have time, paper and wine!

Once you have got your dreams written down it is time to take some action, start to break those business goals down into small steps, manageable chunks, little goals that you can tackle one by one. It is by taking these small steps that you can make your business better, more effective and you can achieve your goals. It doesn’t need to be a big and daunting dream (although it might be!), just break it down into manageable chunks. Goal setting is so important in business, it can be the difference between achieving your dreams and coasting along. Once you’ve set the goals or resolutions take Alain de Botton’s advice and declare them in public to create momentum and energy.

I love to create big, sparkly goals and I review them often. Don’t let your goal be one that you stick to for a couple of months and let fall off the radar, otherwise we’ll find ourselves welcoming in 2015 and wondering what we’ve achieved over the last 12 months.

Good morning, happy Monday! We are looking forward to a very lovely week here on Engaged Wedding Blog, we have some lovely weddings and shoots to share with you this week and we are kicking off our week with a gorgeous one. This 1950′s inspired styled shoot is a stunner, what is not to love about a cocktail party in an airstream? It makes Monday morning much more cheerful. This shoot is styled beautifully and packed full of gorgeous stationery, flowers and details. The table settings are beautiful and would look very lovely in so many settings. I just love that the ended the shoot with a romantic trip to the movies. The photography by Carla Ten Eyck Photography is stunning!
