The GIC is closing the doors for some time!

I have to move the center as well as the Gorean Shopping Victims inworld place to another sim.

Therefore the center will be gone from

Wednesday 22nd!!!

The moving and the rebuilding of the center will take some time – round about 2 weeks should be realistic.

I will announce the re-opening of the center in this forum!

A smart slut.... a taharian tale by Ries Kurka

Once upon a time in the Tahari, a pleasure slut, dressed in the traditional black haik got lost in the Tahari, somewhere between the oasis of the 1000 scorpions and the Kasbah of the Guard of the Dunes, where the Salt Ubar rules with iron fist.

In the far distance, the slut being afraid it was merely a fata morgana, she saw a huge red rock and managed to walk to this rock, hoping she could climb on the rock and see something familiair from the top, hoping it would show her the direction to her kasbah. Though she never did reach the top......

as suddenly, just when reaching the red rock...... able to touch the hot stone even..... she saw a sand sleen and the slut knew instantly, she was caught. There was no way out. behind her, the red rock, before her, the sand sleen, druiling out of his big mouth and observing the slut, from top till toe.

The slut undressed completely, placed her haik behind her and did bow twice with her head in the traditional taharian way and then said to the sleen, "Please, this one begs, pray first,before you kill me, pray as the Free does to the Priest Kings."

The sand sleen smirked first a bit but then asked intrigued by the sluts remark, "In what manner does He pray? Tell me."

"He folds his hands in praying," shouted the naked slut, while feeling the hot Tahari sun on her naked body.

The big evil sand sleen folded his hands and prayed.

Then the slut shouted again: "You ought not to look when you pray. You should close your eyes, as this is how the Free pray"
The sleen closed his eyes; and the slut run away..... eventually finding her way back to the Kasbah.

There sat the sleen, speechless,outsmarted by a slut.
Since that day, no sleen has ever been seen praying again in the Tahari.....

For all who are interested in some Gor informations or a nice place to chill and relax or for meeting new people:

The Gorean Information Center was rebuilded in the last days…..now you find a really comfy surrounding with lots of infos, freebies and cheap items….

From the entrance you can walk over the first bridge over to the basic info house and the measurements house. You can take a seat at the well (one or two persons) and get the great gorean calendar there. Walking over to the mountains you come across a games tent with gorean dice games and the stone game, as well as the schools board to the roles info house and the meter section and…a cosy hidden cave *winks *. For all who like to explore new sims/shops: check out the teleporter houses. All sims sorted by names and the shops by interest. Then you reach the panther info wood. A hidden hut shows you all about panther and taluna girls and you can climp up the platform of the big tree over there.

If it comes up to the libraries: now you find them in cylinders!! I named this parcel with the 2 buildings the “cylinder of knowledge” area. One cylinder gives you infos in English and the other one in German, Italian, Spanish and French. A nice relaxing place is between the cylinders. The last area in the GIC is the desert house with freebies, cheap quality items and also the shop of noe creations (bondmaid clothes).

I hope you like the new look and spend some time there in the future : ) Don’t forget: it’s not only for reading..its also a hideaway for all goreans who want a nice quiet place …..

Hi all,

because do many ask for them..

There is a section in the Roles House now with all the meters we normally use in SL-Gor. Combat as well as non-combat meters.

You get lots of infos, LMs to the stores of the meters and you can grab your meter directly from the dispensers there.

I hope this helps you a bit :)

Picture Contest in the G.I.C.

Details / infos for the picture contest:

1. ONLY GROUP MEMBERS can attend the contest!!!!

2. Make a picture of your favourite place in the G.I.C., equal if you do it in the seating area, in an info house or at the entrance, if with another person or you alone, if a RP situation or just OOC, whatever you like!

3. You CAN modify the pic, but it’s not a MUST! (photoshop etc)

4. Pls send a NOTECARD with the picture until 25th of April 2010 to SYLEENA SHERIDAN
Therefore:
- rename the NC “YOUR NAME – Picture Contest Application”
- write what was your idea of the picture, why you like this place etc.
- insert the picture (the picture has to be modify!!!)

A jury will judge the pictures and they choose the 8 best pictures. Then these 8 pics will be shown in the G.I.C. for 2 weeks (until May 12th) and all ppl can vote for the best of them.

Announcement of the winners is on May 13th 2010!

The Gorean Information Center is a one women show, but no person can do such a job alone.

SO:

It’s time to say THANK YOU to so many people !!

First to the persons, who support me with all (re-)building stuff, from the custom made stuff for the center and the green who make the place natural to the point of script help. The other group of people belong to the category: always the first in the row if I make events….and there I don’t mean only shopowners : )

There is such a looong list and I am sure, I will forget some people. But I wanna let you know: it’s in a good faith.

Keira (GRP Collars) => not only my landowner, who I trust fully, also a great help (and a patient one * g *) regarding sim matters. And she is a constant participator at my events. Thx that my center found a home at your place!

Archon (Zamonien) => my center scripter – without you I would be lost for sure! Thx for all your patience with me!

Jona & Jericho (Torvalds Forge) => for all the houses and accessories (and Jericho especially for my “extras” when it comes up to your builded houses) and their attendance at my events.

Vila & Thea (VIGO) => for the freebies, which they offered me for my freebie section, for the ideas of new events and always one of the first feedbacks to such.

the "Weapons Fair & more"

in the Gorean Information Center

You will find many weapon creators there, as well as shops who design other weapons stuff - from weapon scripts to targets/dummies - and many informations about gorean meters!

For all who like to shoot: there is a training area with some training games & dummies. Try them!

Last but not least: there are also some freebies

Dear all,

the Gorean Information Center offers not the opportunity to shop owners and sims to make some advertisement!

In the shops and the sim section are advertisement signs for rent!

Direct TPs for FREE!!

The only rule:

for shops: they should sell gorean goods
for sims: should be gorean sims or also groups

- one sign per shop/sim/group
- minimum rental = NONE
- rental price = 75 LD per week
- you can insert your shop/sim/group texture, 1 NC and 1 LM

FREE TPs for shops or sims!!! (tips are always appreciated :) )
