TrendSetters Elite Meets Johnny Cupcakes

2012-10-05T22:23:00.000-07:00

If you have been following our brand since close to the beginning or if you are into the "street wear" clothing scene you know of the brand Johnny Cupcakes. We've been working independently for some time now and draw much inspiration from other brands, not just clothing brands, but this brand has put a twist on street wear since their inception in the early 2000's.
Johnny Cupcakes is a brand that took a simple cupcake and crossbones and turned it into a wildly popular clothing line. The brand has tricked people over the years to think it was a cupcake shop, when in fact it is a clothing line that markets its brands exceptionally well, from photography, to packaging, to product, to even hand written notes and secret messages in the gear. This brand has done it all and continues to reinvent itself, as well as shed light on how to build a brand and stay relevant to would be and future entrepreneurs.
Tonight the team at TrendSetters Elite Clothing Co. were able to sit in on Johnny Cupcakes lecture in Ann Arbor for the Johnny Cupcakes Coffin Tour. We had the opportunity to hear the lessons learned, mistakes made and all of his tweaks made to become such as successful brand. He also shared some inside information only you can learn from being at one of his lectures (I'd highly recommend anyone wanting to start a brand to attend one of his events!). All in all this is an experience to remember, and that is what his brand is all about, the experience. So thanks from TrendSetters Elite to Johnny Cupcakes, Keep up the good work, and hey you never know one day we may be honored to work with you or bless the stage and give some of our story to help the future learn to keep striving!

Lovely Advice

2012-09-29T10:22:00.001-07:00

Health:

Drink plenty of water.
Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
Live with the 3 E’s - Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
Play more games.
Read more books than you did in 2010.
Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
Sleep for 7 hours.
Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality:

Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
Dream more while you are awake.
Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
Smile and laugh more.
You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Society:

Call your family often.
Each day give something good to others.
Forgive everyone for everything.
Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
Try to make at least three people smile each day.
What other people think of you is none of your business.
Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:

Do the right thing!
Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
The best is yet to come.
Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Time Is Of The Essence

2012-09-23T12:49:00.002-07:00

Here is an excerpt taking from a blog I read, in which speaks of business, relationships, and is all around insightful

Time is the most valuable commodity. I can testify for this.

You want women. So you get 50 books on seduction, study the art throughly, you do 20 approaches a day for a year, you change how you look, you become Alpha. You have women.

You want money. You work your ass off, go through business idea after idea, finally you strike gold. You learn the basics of financing, pick up some management skills, continue expanding, you do everything it takes to remained focused. Now you have money.

You want knowledge. You read novel after novel, you read journal after journal, you read the classics, you read contemporary works, you read science, you read history, you read everything you can get your hands on. Now you have knowledge.

Finally, you want to help other people. So you make a blog to spread the word about your ideas You work at it, work at it, work at it, you unplug people, you share your wisdom, finally you’re making a change. A big change.

Slowly all of these goals are coming to you. But something’s itching at the back of your conscious.

You want more women? Done.

You want more money? Done.

You want to change lives? Done.

You want more time to do more things? Impossible.

Maybe that’s why I muse about the void so much; a projection of my own id. But keep this in mind so you never forget how stupid it sounds when people say “let’s kill time and do nothing.” It’s ironic because with everything else in life, you start with nothing and must build it yourself. With time, you start with as much as you’ll ever have, and then slowly, it ticks away.

The Beautiful Process Of Adaptation

2012-07-31T19:46:00.001-07:00

When I look at the stages of growth of a business (from my experience and working with others in their business) I realize much success for an entrepreneur lies in their ability to adapt to situations and different stages in the companies growth. The way I see entrepreneurship its like an Art & theres about 3 stages to it:

1st Stage Your The Creator & Your The Inventor, Trying To Prove A Concept

2nd Stage Is Your The Manager, Your Actually Working To Scale The Company, Your Actually Working To Build, Your Actually Working To Prosper In That Regard

An The Last Part Is Your Actually The Executer, Your Actually Executing Against A Potential Outcome, An That Itself Is A Different Strategy.

All 3 Require A Completely Different Approach & Its Up To You To Mold Yourself As A Company Grows So You Know Exactly How To Act At Different Stages In The Companies Growth.
