Wesley Snipes $5 Million And Still Gets 3 Years In Jail

Today's entertainment gossip is that Action movie star Wesley Snipes surprised prosecutors yesterday by paying $5 million with 3 checks. The prosecutors were so surprised that at first they refused to take the money, but eventually did. However the money didn’t stop the judge in the tax evasion case from giving Snipes a 3-year jail sentence.

For almost 10 years Wesley Snipes has been haggling with revenue agents, criminal investigators and prosecutors over taxes Wesley said he didn’t owe. Yesterday Snipes not only paid the $5 million he also apologized and read this statement, "I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance," Snipes said. He said his wealth and celebrity attracted "wolves and jackals like flies are attracted to meat." He called himself "well-intentioned, but miseducated."

Wesley Snipes was acquitted of five other charges, including felony tax fraud and conspiracy, that would've exposed him to 13 more years in prison.

Did Peter Falk Go Nuts?

Today's entertainment gossip is that Peter Falk who played TV’s Colombo was spotted acting a little bazaar. Witnesses say Falk was looking disheveled, and seemingly in need of assistance. The photo to the left shows him flapping his arms.

The police was called to assist Falk, but apparently he was able to convince them that he didn’t need the help and they let him go on his way. Could be that Peter Falk was merely shoeing away the person that took the photo.

I became a Peter Falk fan from his role as Colombo and absolutely loved him in the movie “The In-laws”. Peter Falk, who is now 80-years-old will be in a movie with Val Kilmer called “American Cowslip”.

Emmy Awards To Add Reality TV Hosts As Category

Today's entertainment gossip is that As if award shows aren’t long enough the Emmy Awards is going to add a category recognizing outstanding host for a reality or reality-competition program. This category will make hosts such as as Howie Mandle, Ryan Seacrest, Tyra Banks, Jeff Foxworthy and other hosts eligible for an Emmy.

I’m not a big fan of reality TV or award shows for that matter, but come on do some of the names mentioned and the shows they host really deserve an award? IMHO the TV scene is getting bleaker and bleaker.

Is Hannah Montana Flashing Skin

Today's entertainment gossip is that photos have surfaced on the Internet of a girl that looks a lot like 15-year-old superstar, Miley Cyrus flashing some skin. Miley Cyrus is the star of the hit TV show, “Hanna Montanah”, which airs on the Disney Channel and the daughter of Mr. Achy Breaky Heart, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Hannah Montana is an ultra “G” rated show and has made Miley Cyrus a role model for millions of girls around the world. Will having a look alike that’s being shown flashing skin on the Internet impact on Miley wholesome persona to her fans? I don’t think so, I believe most will realize that it’s a look alike and not the real Hannah Montana.

James Bond’s Aston Martin smashed Into Northern Italy Lake For Real

Today's entertainment gossip is that the director of the new James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace" missed a good action shot. The Aston Martin for the movie plunged into Lake Garda while being driven to the set.

The driver of the car had minor injuries, but the Aston was smashed up pretty good. The car was being driven to the filming unit in heavy rain Saturday morning when it apparently went off the road into the lake.

Well, it looks like Bond has to get a new Aston Martin.

Parents Of Rob Lowe’s Nanny Never Told About Sexual Abuse

Today's entertainment gossip is that it seems that Jessica Gibson, Rob Lowe’s former nanny is trying to get support for her claims that Rob Lowe sexually harassed her. She has appeared on the “Today” show and now appears in the latest issue of “People” magazine in an exclusive photo shoot.

People interviewed Jessica’s parents who both expressed surprise about her claims. Jessica got the job with the Lowes because her half-sister Jamie also worked for them. Jessica never went to the police with her allegations or told her supervisor, the person who managed the Lowe’s estate.

I wrote on this blog earlier this week about the allegations Jessica Gibson had made about Rob Lowe and how she even left a couple of times for other jobs and came back. Something really stinks about Jessica’s claims of sexual abuse and the truth will come out.

Is Lindsay Lohan A Lesbian?

Today's entertainment gossip is that Lindsay Lohan is living with a DJ named named Samantha Ronson who is alleged to be Lindsay’s lesbian lover. It is reported that Samantha still has her own place, but spends every night at Lindsay Lohan’s place.

Samantha says she stays at Lindsay’s to make sure her friend stays sober even though she was with Lindsay when she was falling over and in one of her DUI car crashes.

Last year messages leaked that were supposedly between Lindsay and Samantha revealed Lohan wanted to marry Samantha and have children with her. Recently Lindsay Lohan was said to be living with Yahoo! Heiress and out right lesbian, Courtenay Semel, but apparently that was just a rebound and she’s now back with Samantha.

It remains to be seen how far this relationship actually goes.

Rob Lowe Sex Scandal With Ex-Nanny

Today's entertainment gossip is that It’s been quite awhile since Rob Lowe has been connected with a sex scandal, but he’s I a dosey of one now. Rob Lowe is suing three of his former employees of which is an ex-nanny for Lowe and his wife’s two children. However the ex-nanny, Jessica Gibson is claiming Lowe touched her inappropriately several times between September 2005 and January 200.

Gibson says she stayed with the Lowes because she loved the two boys and that she need the job. Lowe is suing Gibson and the other two employees claiming they tried to extort $1.5 million to remain silent about the abuse allegation. The attorney for Rob Lowe says the allocations are outrageous and untrue.

Attorney Larry Stein, said Gibson never gave any indication she had a problem with Lowe during all the years she worked for him. He said she left at least two times, to pursue other jobs, and returned each time asking for more hours. She even sent two e-mails the day after she left, both saying she loved the Lowes and her leaving had nothing to do with them but her heart wasn't into being a nanny anymore.

The last time Rob Lowe was involved in a sex scandal was in 1989 when a sex tape surfaced of him with two women. I guess we’ll find out if what Jessica Gibson is saying about her sexual abuse is true or not when the tail starts.

Oprah May Be Dropping Dr. Phil

Today's entertainment gossip is that Dr. Phil has made another boo boo and Harpo, Oprah’s production company may be dropping Dr. Phil’s show over it. Apparently a couple of staff members of the show went down to Florida to bail out Mercades Nichols, one of the eight teens arrested for brutally beating another teen.

The staffers wanted to bail out Mercades Nichols and get an exclusive story. But what they didn’t know is that there is a gag order on all the girls involved in the beating. The bail out supposedly goes beyond guidelines and maybe the last straw for the show.

The show suffered a huge embarrassment when Dr. Phil talked about visiting Britney Spears when she was locked up at Cedars-Sinai. People no longer trust Dr. Phil like they use to. It remains to be seen if Oprah cuts ties with Dr. Phil.

Another Car Accident For Britney Spears

Today's entertainment gossip is that the often-troubled pop star, Britney Spears was involved in yet another car accident. However this was a very minor one. There was no car damage and no personal injuries.

It seems that Britney was stuck in stop-and-go traffic when her car struck a 2006 Nissan in front of her that had stopped. The Nissan then struck another vehicle in front of it. No one was hurt and there was no notable damage done to none of the vehicles. The officer on the scene took a report and no one was cited.

Britney Spears has had a few driving mishaps in the past mostly because of doing stupid things, but this one is something that could have happened to anybody.

Craig Ferguson Hotter Than Conan O'Brien?

Today's entertainment gossip is that late night TV talk show host and new US citizen, Craig Ferguson is hotter than Conan O'Brien. Well, that is as far as ratings for the pair’s late night TV shows go.

Craig Ferguson started hosting the "Late Late Show" on CBS in January 2005 replacing Craig Kilborn. Last week managed Ferguson his first ratings victory over Conan O'Brien the host of "Late Night" on NBC. It has been a slow and steady climb for Ferguson and the writer’s strike was crucial to pushing him over the top.

Conan O'Brien is set to take over the “Tonight Show” when Jay Leno steps down next year and although NBC acknowledges Ferguson's victory said that Conan will still get that spot.

Elton John Raises 2.5 Million For Hilary Clinton

Today's entertainment gossip is that Last night pop legend Elton John performed for a sold out crowd at Radio City Music Hall. The concert was a benefit to raise money for the failing Hilary Clinton campaign and raise money it did, $2.5 million.

The cheapest seats for the concert cost $125 and $250 and sold out very fast the other seats costing as much as $2,300 were also sold. Elton John said he has always been a Clinton supporter and that he believes there’s no one more qualified to lead America. But what does he really care? He’s an English citizen.

After Elton John’s performance Hilary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton took the stage and Hillary made this statement, "What I want you to know is I'm still standing, and I believe this country is worth fighting for. So we're taking our campaign to Pennsylvania and all the states that haven't voted."

The Pennsylvania primary is April 22 and we’ll see if the money raised from the Elton John concert helps the Clinton campaign.

Lindsay Lohan Sued For Not Paying Bodyguard

Today's entertainment gossip is that Lindsay Lohan is being sued for not paying her bodyguard. It seems that Lindsay Lohan has cleaned up her drunk driving act and is now into not paying for work done.

David Kim claims to have worked for Lindsay for 19 weeks, but was never paid. Kim claims that he had an oral agreement with Lindsay Lohan and her agents and is owed $55,000 in unpaid wages. A representative for Lindsay Lohan said that David Kim had no connection to Lohan.

It remains to be seen if this case goes to trial is settled out of court.

LA Times Retracts Story About P’ Diddy And Tupac Shakur

Today's entertainment gossip is that the LA Times had to retract stories that they had in their newspaper and online that Sean "Diddy" Combs associates assaulted Tupac Shakur in 1994 and that Combs knew about it ahead of time. The story was base on FBI documents that turned out to be phony. Pulitzer-prize winning staff writer Chuck Philips wrote both stories

The Times posted an article on its Web site on March 26, saying the authenticity of the documents and story had been challenged. The next day, they offered a front-page story that reported they had been the victim of a hoax and apologized for the error.

Charlton Heston Dead At Age 83

Today's entertainment gossip is that Charlton Heston best know for his roles in such movies as “Ben Hur”, “The Planet of the Apes” and “The Ten Commandments” where he played Moses, has dead at the age of 83. Heston was also the president of the NRA (National Rifle Association) from 1998 to 2003 when he stepped when symptoms of Alzheimer's made it impossible to perform his duties.

I didn’t agree with his views as far as gun control, but I did enjoy his body of movie credits.

FBI Asked To Look Into Sean LeVert’s Death

Today's entertainment gossip is that the Levert family has the FBI to look into the death of Sean Levert who died March 30^th after being taken to the hospital from the Cuyahoga County jail where he was serving a one year and 10 months sentence for failure to pay $89,025 in child support.

As I told you earlier this week Sean Levert is the brother of popular R&B singer Gerald LeVert, and the son of O’Jays singer Eddie LeVert. Sean and brother Gerald were part of the R&B group LeVert before Gerald decided to go solo.

Warden Kevin McDonough said that Sean Levert was pounding on his cell door so guards strapped him in a restraint chair. Sean's breathing became shallow and he was taken to Lutheran Hospital, where he died less than an hour later. Sean’s cousin, Michael Gibson, said Sean never had any outburst such as the type described.

However an autopsy did not determine the cause of death. Toxicology tests are expected to take weeks. The FBI says agents will meet with Levert's family.

I will be keeping an eye on this story.

American Idol Contestant Hospitalized

Today's entertainment gossip is American Idol contestant, David Cook was rushed to the hospital last night because of a high heart rate and high blood pressure. Medics for the show wanted Cook to get treatment when they found his blood pressure to be a bit too high, but the American Idol contestant said he wanted to finish the show.

After the American Idol taping David Cook was rushed to the hospital where he was given medicine to lower his blood pressure and was sent back to contestants' apartments. David Cook has become a show favorite and rock the audience lat night with his rendition of Dolly Parton's "Little Sparrow".

David Cook is said to be doing just fine now. Speculation is that this incident may get Cook some sympathy votes.

Everybody Loves Raymond Star Returning To TV

Ray Romano, the star of “Everybody Loves Raymond” could be coming back to TV, this time in a drama. Ray is working on an hour-long pilot called “Men of a Certain Age”. The show is about three friends in their 40s. Ray Romano portrays a neurotic but friendly divorced father-of-two named Joe.

The show will once again team Romano, with “Everybody Loves Raymond” writer/producer Mike Royce. Romano said, "Mike and I have always had success writing what we know. What we know now is that we're middle-aged, neurotic and fat." The show is set to air on the TNT Network.

Brother Of R&B Singer Gerald LeVert, Sean LeVert Dies

Today's entertainment gossip is that the brother of popular R&B singer Gerald LeVert, and the son of O’Jays singer Eddie LeVert, Sean LeVert has died. Gerald LeVert died two years earlier on November 2006. Gerald died in his sleep at the age 40.

Sean LeVert was a member of the R&B group LeVert along with his brother Gerald before Gerald decided to go solo. Sean also appeared in movies, including "New Jack City".

Sean LeVert died in the Cuyahoga County Jail apparently of natural causes. He was in jail for allegedly failing to pay about $80,000 in child support. He was 39-years-old.

It’s a shame that another tragedy has struck the LeVert family so soon. I want to give my condolences to Eddie LeVert and his family.

I Was Wrong About The Celebrity Apprentice

Today's entertainment gossip is that I was wrong about who would win The Celebrity Apprentice. I predicted that Trace Adkins would win and if you watched the show last night you that Piers Morgan won. I went for the long shot and I was wrong.

I had based my prediction on the fact that Trace would get more Celebrities to come and that they would donate more money, which they did. I also base it on the fact that Donald Trump liked Trace a lot. I didn’t count on Piers getting those big auction bids, which is want put him over the top. If not for that his other actions like wanting to get the celebrities drunk so that they would bid more would have cost him the game.

I like both Piers and Trace I just like Trace more. At any rate I really enjoyed The Celebrity Apprentice I think it was a great idea to make the change and I can’t wait until the next season.

Richie Sambora Arrested For DUI

Today's entertainment gossip is that Richie Sambora, the guitarist for Bon Jovi was arrested for DUI yesterday. If that isn’t bad enough, Sambora had his 10-year-old daughter, Ava, in the car with him along with another minor and a woman.

Richie Sambora has had two stints at drug rehap neither of which seemed to have worked. An investigation is underway to decide if Sambora should also be charge with child endangerment because he was driving drunk. Sambora was stopped because he was observed him driving erratically in his black Hummer endangering the lives of himself, his passengers and others.

It’s time Richie Sambora admitted he has a serious problem and get some serious help.

A George Michael Tour?

It seems George Michael has faith enough in his star power to do a tour covering the United States and Canada. In my opinion that’s a lot faith considering his last album "Patience", came out 2004. The album did however make to number 12 on the charts mostly thanks to an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

George Michael does still have a strong international appeal, but that appeal has dropped in the US over the last 10 years. It has been 17 years since George Michael’s last tour. The tour is set to begin June 17 at the San Diego Sports Arena.

I wish George Michael a lot of luck on this tour.

Hulk Hogan And Family Being Sued

The family of wrestler Hulk Hogan is being sued by the family of John Graziano the guy who was injured in Nick Hogan’s street racing crash last year. The lawsuit specifically names Hulk, Linda and Nick stating that they were negligent and directly liable for the accident.

John Graziano, 17-years-old, remains in critical condition in a Florida hospital and has not regained consciousness since the August 2007 accident. He was a passenger in Nick’s car when he was allegedly drag racing and lost control. The suit states that Hulk and Linda Hogan should be held legally responsible for their son’s accident.

What’s more damaging is that Hulk Hogan purchased alcohol for Nick and his friends the day of the accident and knew or should have known that Nick was driving under the influence and failed to take appropriate action.

John Graziano will require care for the rest of his life and his family is facing massive medical bills. It’s time for Hulk Hogan and family to step up to the plate and do what’s right.

British Singer Corinne Bailey Rae's Husband Found Dead

Jason Rae was found dead Saturday in his London apartment. Jason Rae is the husband of British singer Corinne Bailey Rae who is best known for her hit “Put Your Records On”. Corinne, who is 31-years-old married Jason in 2001 when she was 22-years-old.

Jason Rae was a saxophonist in the band The Haggis Horns. Authorities suspect that Jason died from a drug overdose, but early test results were inconclusive and police are waiting on further toxicology tests. Corinne Bailey Rae wasn’t in the apartment at the time her husband’s body was found.

My Celebrity Apprentice Prediction Comes True

I had been telling people last week the Celebrity Apprentice showdown would be between Piers and Trace and I was right. Some thought it would be between Piers and Lennox Lewis and although I’m a big fan of Lennox I didn’t think he did enough to make it to the final two.

Although it was recommended that Trace Carol Alt be the last two, Donald Trump went with Piers knowing that a show down with anyone Piers would be a good fight. But he also knew that a showdown with Piers and Trace would be a hell of a fight.

I’m going to predict that trace will ending being the Celebrity Apprentice because he is so hungry for it just to whoop Piers’ ass. Plus I think Trace and the better team.
