Spotify Premium gives you the option to listen to your spotify playlist on your mobile, and a fantastic app it is. One of the main features is to enable your Spotify playlist to be available offline, so essentially you need to download the tracks to your PC or mobile device.

Pending Sync

When you select a playlist to be available offline on your mobile, the tracks will appear as “pending sync” on your Spotify app. However, the speed of the sync can sometimes be unbearably slow. Taking up to 2 minutes per track, a playlist of nearly 2,000 would take forever to sync.

This appears to be an issue with the Spotify server itself, and not the internet connection. I have tried on 2 different Wifi networks, and both sync as slow as the other. One way to increase the speed is to have listened to the playlist before hand, so some cache is already on your mobile. However, it’s not really a “fixed” solution.

N-Dubz were approached by police on Sunday afternoon, after complaints that pellets were being fired at a gig in the Newcastle O2 academy.
