For Bayer C7 in San José, Costa Rica, design studio Bosque created a bold environmental graphics and experiential design system that brings science, color, and identity into the workplace.

Inspired by the periodic table, the graphics reference Bayer’s scientific roots while creating a strong visual language throughout the office. Elements of chemistry are translated into large-scale graphics, patterns, and wall installations that feel modern, playful, and purposeful.

Colorful geometric patterns and custom graphic elements are used across walls and shared spaces, helping define areas, guide movement, and create a more engaging daily experience for employees. Rather than acting as decoration, the environmental graphics become part of how the space is used and experienced.

This project shows how environmental graphics and experiential design can transform a corporate interior into a space that reflects brand, culture, and innovation — while making work environments more dynamic and human.

Located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, Lakeside is a new office complex designed to support employee well-being and environmental performance from the ground up. The development has already received BREEAM “Outstanding” pre-certification and WELL Gold pre-certification — reflecting its commitment to sustainability and user comfort.

As a complement to this vision, Blankstudio created a wayfinding system that brings clarity, and visual coherence to the space. Graphics in shared areas help visitors and employees navigate the buildings intuitively, while also contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

To ensure harmony with the architecture and interior design, the team based the visual language on materials and forms already present in the environment. Geometric shapes were softened through layered details, especially in floor signage and plaques, while vertical elements echo the rhythmic lines of the building’s façade.

Across both buildings, the wayfinding system uses a restrained, natural color palette tailored individually for each structure. This limited palette helps unify the interiors and maintain a calm character. Strong linear elements, precise detailing, and a consistent set of icons tie the system together.

The result is a wayfinding program that reduces visual noise, improves orientation, and enhances the overall user experience, all while remaining deeply connected to Lakeside’s architectural identity.

Located just five miles from the Chesapeake Bay, one of the most rich and productive estuaries in the world, the project connects students directly to the ecosystems that surround them. Through curated signage and visual installations, the building communicates the importance of this unique natural resource and its impact at local, regional, and national levels.

The building itself is designed as a teaching tool. As a LEED Gold–certified space, it highlights sustainability in both its architecture and its messaging. Thoughtfully integrated graphics draw attention to these environmental features, encouraging students to consider their role as caretakers of the planet.

Inside, the four teaching labs are organized around the Earth’s main systems: atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and geosphere, each supported by its own wayfinding and visual identity. These themes continue outside the building, where landscape signage, planting zones, and an occupiable green roof further connect visitors to the surrounding environment.

Together, architecture, graphics, and landscape design create a powerful educational experience, one that makes learning visible, spatial, and deeply connected to nature.

Designed by Cannon Design, the project reflects adaptability, inclusivity, and the future of work in one of the world’s most diverse cities.

The 200,000-square-foot workplace embraces the spirit of Toronto through spatial storytelling, local art, and environmental graphics that reflect the city’s cultural mosaic. Each element highlights the richness of human connection, from references to beloved neighborhoods and festivals to visual motifs inspired by Toronto’s architecture, flora, and fauna.

Communal areas like lounges, cafés, and meeting rooms orbit around a sculptural stair and borrow cues from Toronto landmarks including The Junction, the Distillery District, and Roy Thompson Hall. Beyond workspaces, the office includes amenities designed to enrich daily life: a café, fitness center, meditation suite, coffee bar, music studio, and more, all within a WELL and LEED Platinum-certified environment.

The environmental graphics and art program form the emotional core of the space. Large conference rooms take their names from Toronto’s cultural festivals, representing Indigenous communities, LGBTQ+ groups, immigrant populations, and the city’s thriving arts scene. A “Journey Through Yonge Street” mural maps Toronto’s skyline and landmarks, while an interactive installation invites employees to weave personal traits together.

Toronto artists such as Jeannie Phan and Amritraj Gupta bring the city to life through large-scale murals and prints, celebrating everything from the Northern Lights to the neighborhoods that define the city’s rhythm. Collaborations with local art studio Sketch and artist Brian Jiang further expand the workplace’s creative energy, turning it into a living gallery of Toronto’s talent.

In every way, LinkedIn Toronto embodies the future of workplace design, one that blends culture, sustainability, and human experience into an inspiring ecosystem of connection.

The environmental graphics celebrate San Jose’s cultural landscape, from its Art Deco architectural icons to its local businesses and creative energy. Each detail contributes to a cohesive story that connects the city’s past with its present identity.

A highlight of the project is the Film Noir Library, an immersive space inspired by classic cinema and graphic novels. Oversized comic-book illustrations, painted lamp posts, benches, and a functional marquee transform the room into a living storyboard, a place where users step directly into a visual narrative.

Balancing nostalgia with modern sophistication, 225 Tasman demonstrates how environmental graphics can turn architecture into storytelling: celebrating history, place, and imagination in equal measure.

The challenge? Capture the lively, social spirit of pickleball while keeping things clean and timeless. The result is a brand identity and signage system that feels playful yet polished, the kind of design that makes you want to grab a paddle and a drink.

The logo introduces subtle motion cues, paired with a fresh, modern typeface that keeps the vibe approachable. Make West also developed a full suite of custom illustrations, icons, and patterns, giving the venue a brand personality that stretches from menus to murals. One of the stars of the project is the set of supergraphics: enormous court numbers that turn the walls themselves into part of the visual playground.

To guide guests through the space, the wayfinding system stays clean and simple, while a glowing neon canopy sign lights up the exterior, like a visual high-five to everyone walking in.

The Six’s target audience was creative young professionals who enjoyed city proximity but also sought to be part of an engaging community. The brand identity reflects this: the center aperture of the logo’s abstracted “6” can also serve as a window into life in Hyattsville, while the color palette takes its cues from a painter’s mixed palette.

Exterior signage was designed to make the most of the building’s verticality, which also optimized sight lines from the nearby highway. The tall blade sign feels like a natural extension of the building.

Inside, a large map graphic reinforces The Six’s Hyattsville location and anchors the entrance in the brand’s ethos of being a community-focused space.

Interior signage leans into materiality as a nod to The Six’s artistic roots. The mix of natural tones and textures adds another layer of earthy richness to the rest of the decor.

The Pentagram team worked closely with Artistic Director David Muse to develop the new identity. Founded in 1978, the company has played an important role in establishing the vitality of local and regional theaters in the US. Along with its artistic programming, it serves the wider community through educational partnerships and other engagement initiatives.

The type-driven identity hints at the industrial past of Studio’s home in a former factory, as well as the creative spirit and resourcefulness of Studio as a theatrical company. The wordmark and primary typography are set in a non-stencil version of the utilitarian heavyweight font AType (designed by Pentagram partner Matt Willey); secondary type appears in the geometric sans Metric (from Klim Type Foundry) and the serif Publico (from Commercial Type). The primary brand palette is a striking yellow, black and white.

This bright yellow creates a dramatic presence along the 14th Street corridor. One of the goals of the revitalization was to make Studio a more open and welcoming space for the community, and the redesigned façade announces the theater as a vibrant personality within its neighborhood. A super scale “Studio” in 6-foot-tall illuminated freestanding letters sits atop the marquee entrance, while a vertically oriented blade sign at the corner of P Street brings further visibility and evokes the building’s past life. New murals are installed along the street, joined by poster campaigns for each season’s productions that mix eye-catching images and strong type.

The bold look extends to the interior, where environmental graphics cover the walls in a textural and design-driven remix of elements—type, color and patterns—integrating the identity with the architecture. The program includes two large-scale murals utilizing visual materials researched from the Studio archive. A wall of type features stage directions and set descriptions taken from plays presented at Studio, while the second mural collages photographs from past productions. Signage for each of the individual theaters, the box office and other areas appears as wall-mounted letterforms, echoing the dimensional marquee outside. The donor recognition wall organizes its names in the distinctive semicircle shape of the Milton Theatre’s seating arrangement.

A 50-foot pylon sign on Interstate 95 first greets visitors to The Avenue. Featuring the vibrant colors and geometric forms of The Avenue logo, it is a memorable introduction to the area.

All murals and signage were inspired by elements of Maryland’s natural landscape and executed with a modern sensibility.

For the entrance, Ashton created three 15-foot metal mesh letters of the logo that double as a natural growth wall for vines.

Bold directional signs add pops of brand colors. They are color-coded to serve as a cohesive visual system: turquoise for project amenities, yellow for tenants, white for regional destinations, and blue for street names.

Including the average number of steps to each destination on the signs encourages visitors to explore.

They created an abstract interpretation of the famous Wye Oak tree, the largest white oak in the U.S. and Maryland’s state tree from 1941 until its demise in 2002. Real mason jars and LED bulbs serve as a homage to catching fireflies.

Perched on the branches are two stylized birds, an oriole and a raven, representing the area’s beloved national sports teams.

A system of 36 custom tenant blade signs was created with varying configurable components. Tenants could choose from four-panel shapes and four armature types.

Each tenant could color their panel based on their brand color, while restaurants also had the choice of a cedar wood panel.

Additional wall murals include an “oar wall,” featuring actual oars with the names of Chesapeake Bay tributaries on the handles, as well as a large outline of the Maryland map, with a red trace-LED “neon” heart marking the location of White Marsh.

The stylized Baltimore raven and oriole feature again on a decorative shipping container located in the parking lot’s far corner.

Henry Ellis Paul designed the environmental graphics that activated the space and created something memorable that energizes and inspires. The outcome is a large-scale hand-drawn illustration of iconic and culturally significant buildings, celebrating the unique architectural landscape of the city. The drawings were overlaid on dichroic film to create a pop of color and an element of enchantment.
