Histological similarities between epithelioid malignant mesothelioma (EMM) and lung adenocarcinoma are responsible for the difficult differential diagnosis. Epithelioid mesothelioma accounts for roughly 50%-70% of all malignant mesothelioma cases. Malignant epithelioid mesothelioma, as well as malignant sarcomatoid mesothelioma and malignant biphasic mesothelioma treatments are all extremely similar.
