Preparation for any athletic endeavor should include a good conditioning program. Stretching, strength training, elasticity exercises, endurance training, and nutrition are all components of good conditioning.

Nutrition

All athletes need to prepare themselves physically and mentally. The body needs proper nutrition, the right amount of hydration, and most importantly conditioning. Eating the right foods and creating the right diet consists of eating a balance of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals, even fats. A balance nutritious diet is key for any athlete and has tremendous affects on performance. Some athletes think they can eat anything they want because of the high calories they expend during exercise. This is a misnomer, proper nutrition is very important.

Training Supplements

Just as with training supplements, it is important to choose supplements that have been shown scientifically to improve performance or assist with recovery post-exercise. Many athletes choose to use TriFuel, the 3 in 1 endurance, hydration and recovery drink that has more ingredients than any other performance drink on the market.

Hydration

Athletes also need the proper of hydration to perform at their best. Not too much and not to little. There is a perfect balance.

Aerobic Conditioning

In order to stimulate an aerobic conditioning effect, research has indicated that you must keep your heart rate at approximately 70 to 85% of the MHR for ten to thirty minutes. Maximum Heart Rate = 220 – Your Age. If you train at a higher level you may experience lactic acid buildup which will cause you to stop and rest. Aerobic conditioning is defined as one’s ability to take in, deliver and use oxygen. Improvement in aerobic conditioning occurs when your body is exposed to a prolonged increase in oxygen uptake and metabolism. One must work at a certain level of effort in order to stimulate the body.

Mental Preparation

Lastly an athlete needs to be mentally prepared. It helps with getting you focused on what you want to accomplish. Though physical training and conditioning are obviously important to performance, mental-skills training can often help athletes improve their performance. It helps with getting you focused on what you want to accomplish. Athletes often use visualization, goal setting, and refocusing to help them mentally prepare for important events.

Follow team Mission Summit on the journey that will place them high above the cities of the world. A journey that will take us to far off places, and attempt to climb the 7 Tallest volcanoes of the world!

Mission Summit mission is to help fund the fight against cancer and represent a passion for the outdoors combined with a chance to give back.

Mt Rainier

“We just got back from our latest trip and climb on Mt Rainier in Washington. Again the product leading up to the climb and while on the climb was perfect. We added our newest team member to our rope team JP Tabor, and he has had a real bad run with altitude sickness. we shipped him down product and had him going for 4 weeks with the EPO boost, Altitude RX and the Tri-fuel. He had no elevation problems at all!

On this trip there was loss of life with one of the climbers we were with. His name was Arvin. he and his climbing partner we caught out in a blizzard coming off the summit and he died from hypothermia and frostbite. We were able to save his climbing partner Monique Richard, and another climber named Mike Salk. We used the Invigor8 and the Tri fuel to help aid in their recovery process as we helped them through the struggle through out the day after the rescue. We are happy to report that both survived.

Thank you for everything you all do and we cannot do this without you all! We will be dedicating our next climb in honor of Arvin! Articles are up if you search Mt Rainier about what happened. What we do is very dangerous, and we understand that this will happen. But we as team Mission Summit will continue to climb and push ourselves to climb higher and farther!”*

Perhaps you are tired of waking up in the morning popping down your running supplements and going for just a boring old run. Maybe you are looking to spice up your training or get an edge on the competition. Well you are in luck because in this post we will be discussing some fun and exciting ways to spice up your training that likely are not found in a conventional training plan.

Sand Running

First off is sand running. There are a million different workouts you can do in the sand, one simple one is to mark of a short distance of about 200 meters and do a set number of repeats with a short break in between each. It is also wise to time yourself so that the next time you do the workout you can try and better your time.

Running Downhill

Another great workout to improve leg turnover is running on slight down hills. For this one it is best to have a distance of at least 100 meters. What your you want to do is gradually increase your pace until you are running at or even faster than your 100 meter race pace. This workout is great for getting you used to higher rotation speeds so that when someone starts to push in a race you will be able to answer back.

Ankle Weights and Bike Pulls

If you are looking to build strength two great workouts are running with ankle weights or pulling a bike. The ankle weights are pretty self explanatory. If you would like to try the bike pulling workout then you will need to find a friend who is willing to assist you with your training. What you do is tie a rope of about 6 feet to a bike and then tie it to a belt. Next you just put on the belt and run. In order for the workout to be of benefit though you want to make sure to never allow any slack in the rope. You can instruct your friend at the beginning to gently hit the brakes whenever there is too much slack in the line.

Tire Pulls

Lastly, another great workout is to attach a harness and run pulling a tire to simulate running in hilly areas. Typically, this is a great training for runners in flat areas. Start with a small tire and build up.

These are just a few examples of unconventional workouts that as a runner you can use to spice up your training and make you an all around better runner. Keep your eyes open and use your imagination because you never know when you are going to come across a new technique to incorporate into your training.

Most importantly, have fun.

Biomedical Research Laboratories market scientifically based running supplements for endurance athletes including supplements for cyclists, runners, triathletes, and mixed martial arts. Patent pending EPO-BOOST ingredients have been shown to increase VO2 max and running economy in college athletes.

Having people zip past you as you run out of energy at the end of the race can really be a problem. All the training and preparation and effort just to run out of gas.

Aside from the bozo who cuts you off causing a 15-cycle pileup 200 meters from the finish line, there is probably nothing that arouses your ire more than being passed by a half dozen cyclists at the end of the race. It’s a real bummer when you are sucking air so badly that your legs give out, especially when you have been training hard for months on end.

You eat the right foods, you ride every day, and you seem to be making improvement in your practice sessions. So what is the problem? It could be your endurance.

What causes poor endurance? Quite often, through no fault of your own, your body simply is not utilizing the oxygen you breathe as well as it could. It has been shown that some bodies have a higher maximal oxygen intake than others. Maximal oxygen intake is also known as VO2 max. Generally, men have higher VO2 max than women, young people have a superior VO2 max to older people, and trained athletes have a much higher VO2 max than non-athletes. Those with the highest VO2 max of all are world-class endurance athletes, including cyclists.

Studies of VO2 max have shown that elite athletes do not always have as much strength as others. What they do have however, is exceptional endurance. Some athletes can compete over short distances, but without endurance, their lungs and bodies tire easily. Endurance increases with proper training, coaching techniques and diet, but another factor inhibits performance. It is called running economy. Running economy refers to a person’s ability to vie competitively at a level lower than maximal oxygen intake.

Consider two people with similar body strength cycling side by side for several kilometers. If one of the competitors is pumping along at VO2 max, and the other is moving at less than VO2 max, the one working at less than maximal oxygen intake will be more rested throughout the race than the second competitor. Thus, the athlete who is able to compete at less than VO2 max will have more energy to expend as the two competitors approach the finish line.

Is there anything else you can do to give yourself a competitive edge? Yes, it’s called EPO-BOOST®. It’s an endurance supplement blood booster and performance enhancer that improves VO2 max and running economy to increase endurance, strength and speed.

EPO-BOOST® dramatically increases VO2 max and running economy, the most important predictors of running performance.

Now you can reap the benefits of increased VO2 max and running economy in your running and training. EPO-BOOST® ingredients have been shown to significantly increase VO2 max and running economy in university athletes. You will see huge gains in endurance, we guarantee it 100%. By increasing endurance, EPO-BOOST® let’s you train harder, run faster and run farther.

Competitive Highlights

Guinness Book World Record Holder for the highest altitude Luge descent. Bolivia

First ascent of Mount Hope, Alaska televised nationwide on ABC, a world peace expedition.

First person to wakeboard the Amazon River. Brazil-Bolivia.

Record holder of the highest altitude ski board descent Mt. Chacaltaya.

Wreck dive of the PLM off the coast of Newfoundland in Iceburg Alley near the Titanic. Mapped new passages in a cave system in Newfoundland revealing an underwater river of white water miles below the surface of the Earth.

Numerous first rock climbing ascents, naming & documenting the climb for others.

After surviving a massive genetic heart failure I have trained each day to raise my ejection fraction from 15 to now 45 & have been running 5K’s each month, I am training for my first triathlon this year & a marathon in Iceland.

How EPO-Boost works for me

“With EPO Boost I recover faster & have more endurance during my workouts. This past year I had massive genetic heart failure, as a lifelong mountain sport athlete I was devastated. I had to stop all supplements while my body adjusted to the new blood pressure medicine. I never felt worse; I had an ejection fraction of 15 & was told I had 5 years to live by my cardiologist. Then my wife & I spoke about quality of life verses quantity & I realized that I needed to get back in the gym and back in the mountains, doing what I love best regardless of the consequences.

So I retired from my career as a state police officer & became a full time ‘disadvantaged’ athlete. My doctor approved EPO Boost & I began a long road to recovery, which is where I’m still at now, but my ejection fraction is now 45, almost normal & my doctors are not telling me that I’m going to die anymore.

In fact, one test revealed that through training alone my arteries leading up to my heart are that of an 18 year old.

I leave for an expedition to Iceland this August where I will attempt to set the Guinness Book World Record for the fastest face first Luge sled down Iceland’s highest peak. I have been running 5K’s each month & I’m in training for my first triathlon. Thank you EPO Boost for helping me take my life back & make my dreams come true.”*

The 2013 Icelandic Wild Heart Expedition

Press Release-Expedition Outreach, a charitable organization founded in 1995 will be traveling to Iceland in August of 2013 to set the Guinness Book World Record for the fastest ‘Alpine’ face first Luge. Team Leader Michael Coyne who holds the ‘Official’ World record for the highest altitude Luge run in Bolivia will now attempt to be the fastest person on Earth using an ‘Alpine’ Skeleton style sled.

The team is a group of environmentally conscious explorers & athletes who educate people about the World Peace Process & other worthwhile causes by taking the publicity they receive from their ‘extreme’ sporting & mountaineering adventures, expeditions, races & events & focus it on education & awareness.

From broadcasting live from the summit of a previously unclimbed peak in Alaska across the nation on ABC Television to being the first to Wakeboard the Amazon River & Mountain Bike across Bolivia’s ‘Altiplano’, the highest altitude desert in the world. . Team EO captures the attention & imaginations of our audience.

A few years ago Team Leader Michael Coyne had genetic heart failure in the transition zone of a triathlon equivalent to 2 massive heart attacks & had to retire from his career as a Massachusetts State Trooper. “As a lifelong athlete I was devastated”. Michael stated but he is now training full time for Iceland determined to come back stronger than ever: Inspiring all those who have experienced adversity in their lives.

Iceland is only the first of a series of expeditions that will take Team EO across the globe from Thailand/Bhutan, New Zealand to Costa Rica & Africa the team will be filming for a documentary project about facing our fears & understanding the nature of our planet & our own hearts.

How EPO-Boost works for me

Hi my name is Milton Santiago JR my dad purchased your product EPO BOOST for me, I have been taking it for almost 3 weeks now. I am an amateur boxer with a record 144-12. Since I been taking EPO BOOST my endurance level has gone up the roof, I went running 2 miles , and I did not jog I sprinted 2 miles ,my dad who is my trainer could not believe it, he said I was running like a deer.
How EPO-Boost works for me (User since Sept, 2011)

“I am a competitive endurance athlete and was experiencing a challenge with my breathing. I was looking for a supplement that could help me and discovered an amazing product called EPO-BOOST. It said that it could help with your oxygen intake and improve VO2 max capacity. With EPO BOOST I found that my breathing problem disappeared and that I could run faster for longer periods of time. My breathing is regular now due to sufficient oxygen, after almost two weeks of using EPO BOOST. I have already seen an improvement in my endurance and performance. My running times have improved and the product has definitely made me feel that I could continue at the end of the race. My recovery in between speed sessions and races was also quicker. Generally speaking, my speed and endurance was enhanced through this amazing product. I just wish that I had known about EPO-BOOST years ago. I believe with EPO-BOOST that I can reach a much higher performance level.”* Ursula Frans, South Africa

Why I Choose TriFuel®:
As athletes we have many options when it comes to sports hydration and nutrition. I’ve tried a variety of brands since I started riding in 2009 and I had mixed success. Fortunately, in 2012, I was introduced to TriFuel® by another racer and haven’t looked back since. The first time I used TriFuel® I prehydrated and got the engine going an hour before the event, a Pro-Am criterium in St. Louis, MO. I took another bottle with me during the race. I couldn’t believe how strong yet relaxed I felt throughout the race and moreover after the race I still felt strong-no post race exhaustion.

I really appreciate the quality and consistency of TriFuel®. Its enjoyable flavoring is easy on my stomach, even in 100+ degree heat, which is something I haven’t found in other drinks. Moreover, its formula and ingredients are always BSCG certified for peace of mind.

How V02-Boost and TriFuel® works for me (User since Sept 2011)

I remember the first time I used TriFuel®. I had recently upgraded to Category 2 and was about to race the Pro12 Giro Della Montagna course at a large race called the Gateway Cup in St. Louis, MO. The race field was stacked with talent and the course, known as “The Hill” was challenging to say the least. What was shocking was that after the race I felt like I could have done it all over again. I felt great!

How EPO-Boost works for me (User since April, 2011)

“TriFuel® rocks!! I have place podium in my last 6 winter races so far this year and I cannot thank you and TriFuel® enough! Bring on St.Croix on May 5th in attempt for that golden Kona slot!!!

I cannot say enough GREAT words about TRIFUEL AND EPO BOOST! 1st and foremost. I have been waiting to give a recap of my training/racing season because its not over yet. This is it so far, St.Croix half iron- 6th age grp, Fairlee trifest olympic-2nd age grp, half marathon in Maine 2nd age grp, Timberman halfiron-11th agegrp stacked field, Lobsterman olympic- sept 14 I have felt very strong after taking a year and a half off from triathlon, actually stronger than ever because of my ace nutrition!! I am already planning a full triathlon season for next year including a full Ironman again I LOVE TriFuel® and Epo boost and so does my body!!

2012

I am an endurance athlete and have been using TriFuel® and EPO Boost for almost two years and will keep using both products for the length of my training and racing career. I noticed an increase in performance within a month of taking both TriFuel® and EPO Boost. Not only did they help sustain peak performance while training or racing, but also my recovery is fantastic! I am able to train intensly or race within a short amount of time from the previous intense workout without soreness or feeing tied.
I’m a competitive age group athlete always in hopes for a podium finish, since TriFuel® and EPO Boost, I have been placing top 3 in my age group at almost all my races which include trail running, all distance triathlon, marathon running and cycling. Both products are helping e reach my goals as a competitive athlete.
I truly believe in these products. I have recommended them to many other athletes and they too have had increased energy and performance. If you want positive results, I highly recommend adding TriFuel® and EPO Boost to your nutrition regimen.*

Competitive Highlights

First 3 years I raced only sprint. Best time was 1:30:27. Last year I raced Olympic distance. My best time of the season was 2:41:50. I believe with the right training and support I can reach 2:30 min. I would also like to attempt a half Ironman at the end of 2013 season.

How BRL Sports supplements works for me (User since January 2013)

My name is Dave Panarelli. I have been using EPO-Boost for over a year now and I want to tell you my story and what EPO-Boost has done for me.

I am currently 45 years old and have spent the last 20 years training and teaching the martial arts, which physically has been no easy experience. I am also entering my 4th year racing triathlon. Endurance racing has become a personal quest of mine.

I have a blood disorder called Beta-Thalassemia minor. Thalassemia is a genetic (inherited) blood disorder that has a defective production of hemoglobin, the protein that enables red blood cells to carry oxygen and carbon dioxide. With me, what basically happens is, my red blood cells are smaller in size and the oxygen doesn’t bind as well and therefore appears to leak the O2 levels from the cell. My Dr. has stated I am operating on about 15% less oxygen per cell than a normal red blood cell would carry. So, I am already behind the game when it comes to competing with my fellow age-groupers.

As you know, EPO-Boost works at the cellular level. The all-natural herb Echinacea purpurea is clinically shown to increase Erythropoietin (EPO) production, which is the hormone responsible for stimulating the production of red blood cells. The greater the red blood cell production, the greater the body’s ability to absorb oxygen, which is what gives an athlete the strength and endurance to race and compete in your given sport of choice.

After about 3-4 weeks of taking EPO-Boost, I really started noticing a difference in my abilities. Running is the hardest for me and as I would participate in speed work at the track with my fellow Park City Triathlon Team members, my 400’s and 800 times were starting to get faster. As the summer progressed and training progressed, I decreased my 1600m from 9:00 to 8:10. After recently recovering from knee surgery in December 2011, I am at 8:34 pace for my 1600m. I am on my way to decreasing my 8:10 pace to under 8:00 this season. Now for most people, these times are not that fast. But for me it’s everything. My swim and bike times are decreasing and strength is increasing much faster than ever before when I was not utilizing EPO-Boost. My recovery time is much faster as well. Before it would take me two days to recover after a run. Now I can run after one day’s rest. For me, that is pretty significant. If for the first time in my life, I am able to compete and improve my condition, just think of how EPO-Boost can benefit someone who does not have any O2 deficiencies. I am completely sold on this product and will continue to use it and benefit from continued successes.

Thank you Biomedical Research Laboratories of San Francisco, Ca. for your important and valued research!

How EPO-Boost works for me (User since April, 2011)

Dr. Marcus Shute, introduced me to TRIFUEL and EPO-BOOST as a product that could aid in my training development. I am amazed at the difference I feel by utilizing both products. I have never recovered more quickly nor have I felt stronger. Both EPO Boost and TriFuel® have improved my recovery time significantly, which is so important in getting through my rigorous work outs. I have also realized better results in practice and competition. I only wish I were exposed to these products sooner!

2012, The Ultimate One Day Race – The Total 200, 215-miler, 3rd Overall
2011, Broke the Pennsylvania Cycling Across the State Record, 400 miles, 32,000 feet of climbing, 25 hours

Certifications as a USA Cycling Coach, Endurance Sports Trainer, Personal Trainer, and Strength & Conditioning Specialist.

Update 2013

I love your products, which have been instrumental in me achieving major breakthroughs such as breaking the Pennsylvania State Crossing Record, 3rd in a 215mile race (of all ages), and 600 miles and 40,000 ft of climbing through Death Valley in 5 days… And BTW, I turn 50 in another month. Your products are a major contributor to my successes and recovery between training and racing. Coach Todd Parker

How VO2-Boost works for me (User since October 2010)

I recently completed the Pennsylvania Crossing Ride, which totaled 400 miles and 32,000+ feet of climbing, completed in 25 hours. I chose to make this a new charity ride (PA Ride for Kids), raising money for children needing facial reconstructive surgery, which 100% goes directly into The Beyond Face Fund.
This ride was extremely physically and mentally challenging; an event that ended up being historical, and pushed me to the limits of my abilities. In nearly 24 hours, we rode and climbed similarly comparable to 3 days of the Tour de France.

Besides water, I exclusively used TriFuel® to help maintain my hydration, blood sugar, muscular endurance, focus, amino acids, and electrolytes. I also used VO2Boost for the 2 months leading up to the ride. Unequivocally, TriFuel® and VO2Boost played a critical role in the success of this monumental event, and I am extremely thankful that your products work.

Products used – EPO-Boost, Altitude Rx and TriFuel®

How EPO-Boost works for us

“I entered a contest with Coors Carling Beer as to where I would like to drink a pint of Carling Beer. I won and was allowed to take a couple of fellow firemen with me on the expedition to Mt Kilimanjaro. We contacted your company about Altitude RX (high altitude supplement). You recommend two other supplements EPO-Boost (to get more oxygen to our muscles) and TriFuel® (to provide the extra energy, mental focus and muscle recovery) for our trip. We want to thank-you for providing those products to us. Glen McCloy

Dec 20,2011 We have done some training on the mountains in the UK and have stepped up our fitness plans at work I’m sure/hope we will be ok. I have been taking Epo-boost now for 5 weeks, I have noticed that when running or cycling I am not as out of breath. I took a vo2 max test last week and my vo2 max has also increased since the last time I was tested. My colleagues and I are fascinated by your products and are amazed at how they work and what goes into making them.”* Glen McCloy

January 26, 2012

“Just to say thank you for supplying us with your products all I can say is wow, We felt like the bionic man. We managed to get to the top without any symptoms of AMS not even a slight headache.

On day 4 one of our porters started to go down with AMS, I told our head guide to give him a litre of TriFuel®. Half an hour later he looked like a new man, Our head guide was amazed at this so he came to see us as he couldn’t understand why we had not had any headaches and had set such a good pace, we then shown him the products you gave us and we offered him some TriFuel® for his bottle the next day.

The day after Charles our head guide and Damas our assistant guide both came to the tent asking if they could have some more, they were amazed and now knew why we were going at such a good pace.On summit night our guide said because we had set such a good pace we would set off at 0100hrs, this was slightly worrying as we noticed groups setting off as early as 1000hrs.Anyway we had breakfast at 1230hrs where Charles said with our pace he expected us to overtake at least 4 groups, we in fact went past 5 groups and at one point started to run in order to get past a group before a slight scramble. On one of the days we were walking we had noticed it was getting a bit steep, we stopped for a rest and drank a litre of TriFuel® each. We then continued to walk and after about 10 minutes we just looked at each other and laughed I said to John and Steve do you feel ok they both replied “Yes,we feel amazing it must be the TriFuel®”, you can actually feel it work it makes so much difference.

Anyway as promised I have attached some pictures of us at the top with all 3 of your flags and as I said we will do anything you like for advertising for you as you were good enough to give us the products.
How EPO-Boost works for me (User since April, 2011)

2013 – TriFuel® and EPOBoost continue to play a critical role in my training and competition this season. I’m able to train harder, recover quicker, and compete at a high level.

Feb 2012 – EPO-Boost and TriFuel® have really made a difference in my training and my performance. I ran in a collegiate meet this weekend and ran the 2nd fastest indoor time in the nation for my age division in the 200m and 400m

April 2012 – I have run in several collegiate meets this season and been able to run faster than athletes less than half my age. I expect to do well in the open 400m at the upcoming world masters track championships, and help the USA win the gold and break the world record again in the 4x400m relay.

2011 – I have noticed a big improvement in my endurance and recovery since taking EPOBoost both in practice and during my meets. I am able to train harder and with more intensity since I am able to recover quicker, and I like the fact that it is an all-natural product. My times in the outdoor open 400m have dropped from 53.8 in the beginning of the season when I first started taking EPO Boost to 51.9 in my most recent race this week.

I am a runner from Kenya and have been running for several years. I never tried any supplement before and tried EPO BOOST and have been using it for over 8 months. I am amazed at how it has helped me win marathons and other races. I run to help my family with living in Kenya and this product has boosted my energy to win. I have told some of my friends who are also now using your products and winning.”* Gilbert Kiptoo, Kenya

How BRL Sports supplements works for me (User since January 2013)

“I just wanted to let you know that I competed in my first running race of the season, the Firefighters 10 Mile Road Race, in Thunder Bay, ON. This is the 3rd oldest road race in Canada and it attracted about 1100 competitors this year. My goal was to run under 60 min, as my previous two attempts have been just over (61, and 63 minutes). With perfect conditions I ran in a time of 57 min, 13 seconds, placing me 11th overall and 3rd in my age category of 20- 24! These results have been possible because I have trained exclusively with BRL Nutritional products the last 2 years! I fuelled up with Trifuel before the race, and I never needed a single feed!

I wanted to thank you and BRL for your support over this last year. TriFuel® is by far the best tasting and most effective sport drink I have ever tried. Workouts are now much more enjoyable because of it. As well, EPO Boost has been very helpful in improving my endurance capacity. This past season saw many new PB’s reached, including a 26th place in the 15km skate at Canadian Eastern Championship, as well as a 35th in the 50km at Nationals.

TriFuel® has helped me push through workouts that normally I would end by fueling my body with the proper balance of sugars, electrolytes and other essential vitamins.”*

Pro & Elite Age Group Team (Tri Training Harder) UK

Competitive Highlights

Jason finished the 2014 season as a Gold All World Athlete ranking inside the top 1% of all people competing in Ironman events across the world.

In 2013, he started the doing great (2x5th place & 4th place) in the three duathlons he has raced, the most recent being the European Long Distance Duathlon championships for Team GB (5th) and a 10th overall at a half marathon run.

Also he received an award from the CEO of Ironman, Andrew Messink, as a congratulations on my Ironman performances last year. He finished inside the top 5% of all Ironman finishers across the world and gained the ‘All World Athlete’ silver medal. “Had I have raced another Ironman event last year then I would have been awarded Gold”

2012 was a breakthrough season for Jason. He broke 3 hours for the London Marathon (2:58), did 10:04 at Ironman Nice and then 8 weeks later broke 10hours at Ironman UK (9:54) running the fastest marathon split out of the top 15 (3:19) on the way to finishing 11th.
And 5150 European Champion 2012 AG 30-34

How V02-Boost works for me (User since October, 2010)

“I have now been on the VO2 boost for about 3 weeks and in a Half Ironman Triathlon and I finished 19th Overall which included a Pro field! I also smashed my Half Marathon PB running off the bike by over 4 minutes! The gains I have made since using your products have been outstanding.” Jason Walkley, UK

Update 9/28 – “I have set a new PB over my half marathon distance by over 2 minutes. I just rode in the Tour of Britain Pro Cycling Stage 2 and finished 37th overall out of approximately 800 riders, covering 100 miles. I broke away from the peleton (pack) to finish 15 mins ahead! VO2-BOOST has continued to work wonders with my training giving me that edge when I need it.”

How EPO-Boost and TriFuel works for me (User since Sept, 2010)

“I am an XTERRA PRO triathlete and use TRIFUEL for training and racing. On occasion I have run out of TRIFUEL during the run and experienced a dramatic loss of energy and even “bonked.” It is important to establish one’s own needs for the product to achieve the desired effects of increased (at least 10%) performance and endurance. This is why I use the products in all of my key training sessions to simulate race day situation. I am convinced that TRIFUEL has helped me consistently achieve PR times that were beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this well designed product for competitive athletes.”*

Note: Carolina won her first Xterra National Championship after using EPO-Boost for only 1 month in her age division, 6th overall. Congrats!*

“Reduced my Boston Marathon time from 3.59 to 3.10 by training hard and using superior products from BRL!

The combination of EPO-Boost and TriFuel® have given me the energy and the power to be a highly competitive athlete. I started using EPO-BOOST in the fall of 2012. They added long distance staminia.

EPO-Boost has enabled me to increase the intensity of my training and I have greatly increased my race day performance. Using EPO-Boost and TriFuel® I have been able to train harder and recover faster.

The results I have received since I began using EPO-Boost and TriFuel® demonstrate the effectiveness of these products.

How EPO-Boost works for me (User since January, 2011)

Update 2013

I have been using Epo-Boost for 3 full years now and every since I started taking your product my race times have improved. 2013 was the best year yet, at age 55 typically times would start to drop off a bit, but mine have not been dropping. Prior to 2013 I had competed in 3 full iron distance races over the course of 6 years. 2013 I competed in 3 full Ironman races. Ironman Texas in May, Kona in October and Arizona in November. I improved my PR by 90 minutes in Arizona. I also set a new PR in my half iron time at Buffalo springs 70.3 which is not consider to be an easy race.

——————————

At 54 years old, and had my fastest race! Typically you would see a slow down after the age of 50. With a wet suit I swim about a 28 minute swim and without a wet suit I swim about a 36. I swam a 30 min. that is 6 min faster. I think EPOBoost is giving me a boost. I drink TriFuel® on the bike amd it’s working for me.

I got 7th place out of 66 in my age group.

Also I did the pills for altitude in St George Utah Ironman they seemed to work well under the circumstances! I will attach a story I wrote for active.com you might get a kick out of it.

I have a half Iron coming up June 24th Buffalo springs 70.3 in Lubbock Texas, I expect and have high hopes of setting a personal best at that Course. Also I have done that race about 6 or seven years now. I will report back after the race.

How EPO-Boost & TriFuel® works for me (User since August 24, 2010)

UPDATED APRIL 2014- “I started racing triathlons in 2008. As with any new athlete, there is a learning process that goes with learning a new sport, part of this process is your fueling. As the races get longer in distance, this process gets more difficult. I went through a year of bad choices. Things that may have worked for one race, but to only bomb on the next, or that would work in training, but in a race when you are pushing yourself to all extreme….the fueling fails. I experienced everything from stomach and leg cramps to headaches, GI distress to just plain bonking….running out of energy. I started using TriFuel in 2010, 1 month before the biggest race of my life….Ironman World Championships. I took a chance and not only tried 1 product, but 2. I combined the EPO Boost and Trifuel into my training for just about a month before I used it on my race. I placed top 10 in my age group at one of the biggest and most sought after races in the world.

After this experience of racing my best with not one issue on the course…..I never went back to anything else. I continue to see success in my training. I experience tremendous energy bursts toward the end of 100 mile bike training rides and run my fastest splits at the end of my long run training. This doesn’t happen with just any fuel. Trifuel is unique in that it is a pre, during and post workout fuel. It sets you up for a great training/race day, carries you to places you never thought possible, and prepares you for your next workout. There is nothing like this on the market. Today 4 years later, I am not only a double “All American” in 2 disciplines Road and Off Road Triathlons, but I am a USAT, USAC II and USATF certified coach that recommends this product to my athletes with great success. This fuel is part of their training plan….and it works!”*

“JD just placed 2nd place in a 5k race! The first place winner was the National record holder, so pretty darn good! There were over 4600 participants in the 5k, I know your product has made a difference.!

My son Joey tried it twice, once before a hard weightlifting workout, and the other before his flag football league game. He was amazed! He said he is going to send his clients to your webpage to get some! He was really impressed and how he was able to make it through the workout without running out of gas and he was not sore the next day. I told him of our plan of having him at the table for the run and he is so happy to do so.

Chere’ Pepper(wife) I ran a 5k last week. I was 2 Minutes faster than my fastest time ever. WOW thats all I can say. Ive been taking 2 epo-boosts per day and only doing the TriFuel® on hard workouts. I have a hard time pushing myself, I’m not much of a racer, but 2 Minutes! Wow.”*

Knute is a member of the Yukon Elite Squad, a high performance Nordic ski racing team out of Whitehorse, Yukon. Knute has been quickly climbing to the top of the North American ski scene having had podium finishes at Canadian Nationals as well as US Super Tours. Knute has been U23 National champion for the past two years in a row and still has another year as an under 23 skier. Last year, 2013, Knute notched the best Canadian U23 male result at World U23 Championships (21st) in Val di Fiemme, Italy. He trains year-round, over 600 hours a year and competes in races across the globe.

2012 National Jr. Champion
World Jr. Championship participant

In 2012 Knute made the Junior National Team out of high school and skied for 2 years on the Pierre Harvey National Training Centre. Then, he started training on the self made team “Yukon Elite Squad”, with five other elite Yukon Skiers. He finished on the podium in 16 out of the 17 races I did on the Canada Cup circuit. I represented Canada at the World Junior Championships in Erzurum, Turkey and finished off the season as National Champion. These are his words: “I love training and racing, but mostly I love training and racing in Yukon”

“Starting the 2012 season I made several goals to accomplish in my next few years of racing. Doing so, I knew I needed a product to believe in for nutrition and work. After a month of using the EPO Boost and TriFuel® I started seeing a crazy gain in my threshold during training and my speed/endurance picked up to the next level I wanted! I am a firm believer in this product and cannot wait for more gains as I have huge events I must perform at the remainder of the year.”*

How EPO-Boost and TriFuel® works for me. (User since June 2012)

“The Epo Boost and TRIFUEL works great. Especially for the intervals workouts we do. Really feel myself being able to push thru my workouts toward the end just as strong as the beginning. The TriFuel®® really help me in between while training. Being in sunny Florida where it really gets hot, its very easy to cramp up. So I sip on the TriFuel® througout the workout to help recover quicker throughout my sets.”*

APRIL 2014 Update: *I competed in my second competition this weekend(4/26/14) finally in great hot weather (85 degrees). Usually with the weather being so hot, I tend to cramp or muscle fatigue. I used the TRIFUEL throughout the competition and felt a “significant” difference. My muscles felt refresh after every jump and I was able to execute every jump!! Although, fouls hinder my finishing place in the competition, I had great jumps and my body felt recovered after the competition. BIG jumps to come… The season bout to get rolling with TRIFUEL by my side!!!*”

Mark and Debra are locally known as the Dynamic duo of the endurance community along Florida’s east coast! As a couple they have racked up over 100 podium appearances and 50 wins in the past 4 seasons.

How EPO-Boost works Us

“EPO Boost is one of the best performance enhancing supplements that is available. It has been a staple for me over the past 4 seasons and has helped me to achieve numerous results and accolades. I can say with certainty that EPO Boost has helped me to achieve Ironman “All World Athlete Gold status”, USAT All American status for 4 consecutive years and has helped me to realize goals and dreams as an endurance athlete that I never thought possible. I never race an important event without EPO Boost onboard!”* Mark Swart
“I have been using BRL Sports products for 3 years and would not train without them. The new, non caffeinated products are a great addition to their line, as is their new recovery shake, Invigor8…The Caffeinated wild berry TriFuel is great toward the end of a long endurance training run when I need a kick and the lemon lime and berry flavors is a great, all of the training time. I have less soreness and recover better when I use these products, regularly. I recommend all of the BRL products highly.*” Debra Daley

Debra is a Yoga instructor and sales rep at Fleet feet sports in Stuart Florida and Mark, who is known as “The Sparrow” is a Physical Therapist at Florida Orthopaedic Specialists in Port St. Lucie FL.

“I am very privileged to have the support of a forward thinking company like BRL Sports. The team at BRL unique attention to product formulation and the continued R/D to enhance the functionality on the feedback from the ambassadors who push the limits of demand in each competitive event they participate. This knowledge is then filtered to everyone who chooses to use TriFuel , EPO-Boost, Invigor8, and AltitudeRx as their choice of nutritional supplementation related to their sport.

I have been an ambassador for BRL Sports since 2012 where I was preparing for my first RAAM, since then I have been top 5 in World Ultra Marathon races which I have competed. I have just completed RAAM and previous to that finished 3rd in a World 12 hour event completely on TriFuel alone, no solid food. I have also increased both my VO2max and Hematocrit levels from a lifetime 43 to 47 with the use of EPO-Boost and AltitudeRX.

I have found the an all around training and competition nutritional solution in TriFuel which we all as sports people strive. TriFuel is easy to use on a long term basis pre and post efforts. In events of long duration which are multiple days like RAAM it never becomes difficult to keep ingesting…, no nasty stomach problems, bloating or discomfort.

The key is to ensure that your intake is adequate per hour of your event based on your personal body mass profile. I measure calorie output per hour based on our event (mph/km ) schedule, including exterior temp, this is then balanced with the correct ml of fluid intake per hour based on the individual body mass profile.

With the new TriFuel electrolyte count, having a personal sweat test to establish your individual sweat type and count per litre of fluid loss will allow you to gain most from the product.

In short the best supplementation package on the planet today. TriFuel, EPO Boost, Invigor8, and AltitudeRX to fuel all of my future events.”*

Adventure Swimming and Desert Expeditionist

Ripley Davenport FRGS
Explorer | Adventurer | Speaker
Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society
Member of The Explorer’s Club
School’s Ambassador for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland (MS Ireland)

How BRL Sports supplements works for me
“I’ll begin by saying that I’m 43 years old and in no way a triathlete. I have Multiple Sclerosis and previously walked vast distances, self supported, across the arid regions of the world.

I work out habitually and unite this with a lot of arduous outdoors activities. Since being diagnosed with MS I’ve changed my way of life in every way and strive to maintain a sound physical condition. Without a shred of doubt, Epo-Boost and TriFuel has complimented my change of lifestyle and endurance.

I’m not a strong open water adventure swimmer so my elongated swimming sessions really put a strain on my body and before using Trifuel, I found performance and recovery very difficult and extremely tender.

Since using Epoboost and Trifuel, I’ve been astonished how I’ve been able to rapidly recover my energy and retain my stamina even after prolonged periods of open water swimming. The Trifuel endurance and recovery supplement works with my body aiding the replenishing and recovery time. There’s no fatigue and a lot less soreness and I feel fantastic! I recommend the Wild Berry, which mixes up well. I highly recommend TRIFUEL.*

Ripley is best known for his camel assisted and man-hauling expeditions after many years drifting across some of the world’s isolated deserts entirely on foot. During his first attempt to cross the Gobi Desert solo, man hauling a 250kg trailer carrying all his supplies, Ripley first began suffering inexplicable and debilitating symptoms that were finally diagnosed – several months after his return from his 1000-mile journey across
the Gobi in 2011 – as Multiple Sclerosis.
With the support of family, friends and sponsors, Ripley decided that he now faced a greater challenge – to inspire all those thousands of others with Multiple Sclerosis who need a positive message of hope to uplift them in their suffering. In 2014, Ripley steps away from the desert and into the sea for two open water swimming adventures. The first a 30-mile non-stop open water swim followed by an attempt at a 850-mile ultra adventure swim around Ireland.

How TRIFUELand EPO-BOOST work for me

“TriFuel never ceases to amaze me. I did this 45 min race on just one bottle and felt great the whole race. I did the 80 min Pro 1/2 race three hours later on two bottles and nothing else. Almost 80 guys started and only around 20 finished. I was there all the way till the end and never faded.*” Bob Cummings, 2014

——————————

“I am a BRL sponsored racer and I can say this. I used TriFuel® and EPO Boost before I was sponsored and gladly paid the price for the products. If I were not sponsored I would still be using them. I am a 44 year old Cat 1 cyclist and compete with the top amateurs and pros in this country.

Before I started using these products a became anemic from training at a such a high level. I ate healthy and thought that was enough but found out the hard way that it was not. I have been using the products for nearly 4 years now and my red blood count and hematocrit levels have improved every year. I get a blood test every spring when my training load is the highest to check myself. I appreciate the care that BRL goes through to ensure that I get the extra supplements my body needs through totally safe and non banned substances. There is a difference between legal and banned substances to maintain healthy blood. I am very proud to represent such a fine company!*” Bob Cummings, 2013.

How EPO-Boost works for me

“EPO-boost works like no other booster supplement out there in the market.
I used 1 every 2 hours at Ironman Busselton and it worked really well!
Zero fatigue! Tons of energy! Give a TRI to boost yourself *” December, 2014.

How TriFuel plus EPO-Boost work for Andrea’s preparation and racing IRONMAN World Championship, Kona 2014

“I was using the “magic combo”, TRIFUEL+EPOBOOST, during the 3 months prior to IRONMAN BRAZIL. That was my “A” race to qualify for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona HI, so I had no room for error!

I had to choose the right coach, the right bike, the right shoes, and of course the right NUTRITION very wisely! and… BANG!!! I GOT IT!!

EPOBOOST just gave me a huge confidence booster prior and DURING my race! And TRIFUEL’s taste is just perfect and it replenishes my body with all it needs. Always on my long training days, I knew that I would be ready for the next session, recovering faster for the next day challenge. I was completely amazed in how I felt post-race as well. Taking TRIFUEL every day after the race made my recovery time simply smoother and way faster than in any other Ironman experiences.

Now, for my next journey to KONA, I have the confidence that I’m in really good hands with my “magic combo” until and on race day! Obrigada! Thank you! BRL Sports Nutrition*”

“I am very skeptical with nutritional supplements due to the prevalent lack of clean manufacturing practices and banned substance contamination. I am very glad to have researched and tested BRL’s products to my and my performance support team’s satisfaction. With the combination of Epo-Boost and Tri-Fuel, I have noticed a significant increase in recovery from high intensity efforts, especially from race to race during our typical double race weekends. I have also noticed a higher level of energy and alertness compared to my competitors, especially during the last 20 miles of long group rides and races. Particularly, I am very encouraged with breaking through key power and speed thresholds after 6 weeks of using these products.*” Pablo Santa Cruz

Current Racebike: 2014 Yamaha YZ 450F

“Over the years as an amateur and becoming a pro I have tried tons of endurance products. It wasn’t until I tried EPO-Boost and TriFuel that I really received amazing results. Racing Motocross is one of the most physically demanding sports I’m the world. During outdoors we have two grueling 35min motors and while racing supercross indoors we have 2-3 high intensity heats leading up to an intense 20 lap main event. I feel that both my strength and endurance have been significantly improved, allowing me to push myself harder for longer periods of time in training and racing. EPO-Boost and TriFuel to me are hands down the best products out there for racing and training! You have to fuel your body with the best possible products and BRL Sports does an amazing job doing that!*” David Pulley Jr #608

Competitive Highlights

As of 21 years of age, David Pulley has racked up many trophies and wins to this date. Right before stepping up to the MX A class in 2011 he won took the Amateur cross Championship at the end of his career in the B class. In 2014 he made the jump to the premier 450 Class and due to an injury 3 days before the opening round he fought though the injury all season long and managed to make his first ever 450 night show and place 16th. He is training hard and has some big plans for 2015. Look out for him up front this season he plans to put his DMP Motorsports Yamaha into every main event and prove that he can be a top competitor.
