Life On Repeat "As I Grew" EP Available Now

Although the official release date isn't until December 1st, Life On Repeat are giving fans a chance to get their new EP, As I Grew, over a month early! Furthermore, Life On Repeat and Equal Vision Records are empowering fans by allowing you to choose your own price for the album.

Just over two months ago, Life On Repeat entered Brian McTernan's Salad Days Studio in Baltimore to record what would become As I Grew. "We had more than enough material written," says guitarist, Andrew Baylis. However, the band narrowed it down to four songs: "Southern Girls", "The Message Is You", "Buzzkill", and "Separation". Even with just four tracks, the band's wide range of influences can be heard loud and clear, from catchy pop hooks to heavy breakdowns, and come together seamlessly.

In support of the new album, Life On Repeat will head out on tour in December with Sent By Ravens (Tooth & Nail) and Hollywood Lies:

Documentary Film About The Snake The Cross The Crown Coming Soon

Long dormant Americana/folk band The Snake The Cross The Crown are the subject of a new documentary film called On A Carousel of Sound, We Go Round.

During their last tour in the summer of 2007, filmmaker Nicholas Kleczewski traveled with the band and captured on film the end of an era for the group. After releasing two critically acclaimed yet relatively unknown albums - 2004's Mander Salis and 2007's Cotton Teeth - the five members of The Snake The Cross The Crown found themselves spread across the country; some members going back to school, others holding odd jobs to pay the bills.

Unable to relentlessly tour and promote, yet unwilling to let go of their passion for creating music together, The Snake The Cross The Crown were at a major turning point for themselves as a band, and as individuals.

On A Carousel of Sound... is premiering this Friday, October 2nd at the Louisville International Festival of Film, and will hopefully be showcased at many more festivals in the future.

On October 13th, Equal Vision Records and The Techtronic Rocket Society will be packaging the 75-minute DVD together with a 14-song CD of b-sides and newer recordings, and releasing the two-disc set exclusively through The Snake The Cross The Crown's webstore.

The Vans Warped Tour have announced a showcase to debut at the Next BIG Nashville Music Festival and Conference held October 7th through 10th in Nashville, Tennessee.

Several Warped Tour alumni including Equal Vision Records' very own Therefore I Am will break-in the stage at Rocketown on Saturday, October 10th. Public tickets are available for $10, or you can gain access with a Next BIG Nashville VIP badge or wristband.

"NBN is very excited to be able to bring a little bit of Warped back to Nashville for this special event," notes Next BIG Nashville co-founder Jason Moon Wilkins. "Warped has been an integral part in exposing the next generation of punk and indie artists to the mainstream, ala middle Tennessee's own Paramore, so it just made sense to have a Warped stage during Next BIG Nashville for local and national acts on the verge of breaking out."
