1197 DXFE Davao City “Good News Radio” broadcasts the message of hope for listeners in Davao and other parts of southern Mindanao not only through the radio program but through compassion ministries. Although Davao is not a typhoon-prone area, it occasionally gets flooded due to various weather disturbances. The station helps relief efforts of different organizations by creating and awareness campaign and airing calls for various forms of support. At one point, it even served as repository for relief goods and staging area for relief projects.

Although less popular than the other networks within the City, DXFE slowly came to be known through its advocacy for a righteous government as well as its campaign to get back to the very basics of prayer.
