Point Pleasant

Aviva took me for a weekend at Point Plesant for my birthday, and I'm so glad she did!

We arrived hungry and grabbed a quick bite at Jake's Crab House before checking in at The Tower Cottage Bed & Breakfast. We relaxed on the beach before an amazing dinner at The Poached Pear. The next day, we walked around town and grabbed lunch at The Shrimp Box & Outside The Box Patio Bar before spending the rest of the day by the beach. We saw a nearly full moon rising on the horizon. On our last day, we spent many hours on the beach, and checked out the waves, before grabbing a quick bite at Dune Grass Cafe on our way out of town. It was such a fun and relaxing weekend.

We left the Big Lagoon County Park beach to go hiking through Karl Knapp (Prairie Creek) Trail and then Aviva and I walked around Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail.

San Francisco Piers

We walked around the waterfront, had breakfast at the farmer's market, stopped by the Exploratorium and the Aquarium, and hung out at Pier 39, where we had lunch. At night, Aviva and I drove to the Golden Gate bridge to watch the sunset.

Pushing Up And Flying High

We resumed our Labor Day push-up tradition. Andrea did 500 push-ups in 45 minutes, Eason did 600 in an hour. I did 800 push-up in 50 minutes. It was a windy day, so Eason and I took our "dementor" kite out on the canoe.

Grounds For Sculpture

We took a road trip Princeton, NJ to visit Princeton University, where we attended a tour and some academic lectures, and the art museum. We spent some time in New Hope, PA. We spent our last day at Grounds For Sculpture, which had a lot to see.

Escher - The Exhibition & Experience

We went to see Escher - The Exhibition & Experience at Industry City. It was really cool. Then we went to our old neighborhood for brunch. I got the Eggs Benedict and a Caesar salad and the Hollandaise sauce and Caesar salad dressing were just as good as I remember from 17 years ago.
