I am looking for a male and a female from each local high school to be Senior Ambassadors.

In order to be an Ambassador you must:

-Have great style, lots of personality and enjoy being in front of the camera.
-Graduate in 2013.
-Live in the Central Ohio area or be within 30 miles of Marysville Ohio (43040).
-Agree to tell your friends and classmates about Erica Peerenboom Photography by passing out your rep cards.
-Have your parents or legal guardians sign a model release form allowing me to use your pictures for advertising.
-Agree to represent Only Erica Peerenboom Photography.

What you get for being an Ambassador:

-A Spring Mini Session (20 minutes) held in March/April so we can get your picture for your rep cards. I will distribute your rep cards within 2 weeks of this session.
A rockin' full session later in the Summer or early Fall with Erica Peerenboom. Several outfit changes are allowed and encouraged. We can visit fields or urban settings or both! If you have some props you'd like in your pictures, bring 'em! We can even get some of you and your car. Let's have some fun!!
The opportunity to earn print credits for every person you refer! *(see details below)*
-25 free Senior Rep Referral cards to give to friends and classmates. *(see details below)
-All images from your gallery in low-resolution format with my watermark on them to share on social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.
-A low resolution digital slideshow set to music to share with friends and family via email or social networking.

*You will receive 25 free Custom Senior Rep Referral Cards. Each with your photo and name on the front and information about Erica Peerenboom Photography on the back. These referral cards are very important to you. This is how you earn your print credits. For each person you refer to me that completes and pays for their session you receive a $20.00 print credit for your own portraits. Your rep card must be presented at their scheduled session time to get the credit. Once verified, they can keep your card.

Halloween/Graveyard Concept Shoot | Columbus, Ohio

This was a concept shoot I thought up months ago and was so excited to see it come to life. I love Halloween and I love photography. Put them together with a creative imagination and this is what you get!

I posted a casting call on Model Mayhem looking for the perfect models. I knew I wanted at least 2 girls and 1 guy. The response was overwhelming to say the least! Apparently I'm not the only one that loves a Halloween shoot. I decided it would be fun to ask my photographer friends, Jeri Amrine and Mark O'Donnell to assist me in the project as they are Halloween fanatics as well as amazing photographers. I have worked with both of them in the past and knew we would all work well together and make it a great project. We weeded through all the responses and threw around some ideas. Mark mentioned a lot of the interested models were not real close to us and we would run the risk of no shows. Thanks Mark. Hadn't thought of that. Within days of him telling me this I was contacted by the lovely Sherry Lewis. She is a model/actor that lives not even 5 minutes away from me. Perfect! She also mentioned she had a local friend that was trying to break into modeling and would be perfect as my second female model if we were interested. Score! Turns out I knew her already! The lovely Melodie Pullen played my angel and was a natural. As for the male model I knew who I wanted right away. He had done a previous Halloween shoot as a vampire so I knew he would be perfect for the part. He was willing and able and did an amazing job. Thanks Jay Davis!

We had so much fun that night! The Fall leaves were at their peak and the tempature was perfect. It was just beautiful. The story is about a couple that died tragically together and don't really realize they are dead. They are wondering around the graveyard trying to figure things out. The angel comes to guide them where they need to be and watch over them. Check it out!

I Heart Faces - A Touch of Sun

I haven't entered the I Heart Faces challenge for a while because things have been crazy busy for me. As soon as I saw the post about this challenge though I just had to enter. The theme is a touch of sun. I don't feel complete with a session unless I am able to get some amazing sun shots, whether it's back lighting, sun flare or just some gorgeous warm yummy light. Anyway I decided to enter this one so below is my entry.

Last weekend I got to shoot the lovely senior, Peyton. Despite the constant threat of a downpour we went ahead with our shoot since we already had to reschedule once. So grateful we did! Other than a few sprinkles it turned out to be a great evening. Most of the shots were taken at The Park of Roses and it was beautiful! Now granted, it wasn't sunny so I didn't get all my usual sun-flares that I love but I'm very happy with what we ended up with. Here are a few of my favorites below.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Zach for his senior pictures. We had so much fun the entire session. My oldest daughter assisted and when we left she said her cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Yep! That about sums it up! Here are several of my favorites from the day. Congrats Zach! This is LIZ in sign language. Liz is going to school to be a teacher in ASL.

A couple Friday's ago I had one of the best senior shoots ever! At first the weather was looking like it was going to rain. Even driving to the shoot I encountered a few rain drops. Fortunately once we got there and started to explore the weather cleared up! I met one of the most take charge, adorable seniors ever. Liz already has her life planned and I have no doubt this gal will do whatever she sets her mind to. It was a pleasure to meet her and her mom. We had a great time exploring an amazing new location that I can't wait to shoot in again. Here are a few of my favorite's from the session. It was hard to narrow it down as Liz is very photogenic and doesn't ever take a bad picture. Isn't she adorable?!

Erica Peerenboom Photography has exciting news! I will now be offering the art of Boudoir Photography to my clients!

I have taken several classes throughout the year and love everything about it! Especially how it can make a woman feel so special and look so beautiful regardless of age, shape or size. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the mom role and the day to day routines we forget who we are as women and need to be reminded of that.

What is boudoir photography you ask?

Well let me tell you about it! First and foremost boudoir photography is not vulgar or improper in any way. If that is what you are looking for I am not the photographer for you. "Boudoir" is defined as a lady's bedroom or private sitting room. Boudoir photography is capturing tasteful and sensual images of women (ages 18 and up) in lingerie, bathing suits and/or being partially clothed. Clothing suggestions are listed below. It is more suggestive and not as much revealing. My emphasis is on making you look as beautiful and desirable as you really are. Your comfort level is my utmost concern. I never want you to do anything or pose in a way that makes you uncomfortable.

Who does boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is often done by a bride to be. She will present her husband with an album/calendar of her images on their wedding night. Other times for boudoir photography are Anniversaries, Valentine's Day, Birthdays or ANY time you want to give your significant other a very special gift he will never forget! Sometimes a small group of women choose boudoir photography as a bachlorette party or a girls night out event. Whatever your occasion my mission is to make you feel beautiful!

What can I expect?

Since "boudoir" is defined as a woman's sitting area or bedroom, I can come to you and do your session in your own bedroom. Or if you prefer you can come to my private home studio for your session. Wherever your session takes place, I want you to feel totally comfortable and at ease. It is natural to feel a little nervous in the beginning. I promise you that will fade away and you will have a great time! You will have the freedom to truly express yourself during a boudoir session. Your emotions and personality are expertly captured. Are you concerned about the way you look? All of us would like to change something about our appearance. However, with creative lighting, clothing choices and a subtle amount of retouching I will turn your images into works of art. You will be excited about how gorgeous you look in the finished images!

Some clothing suggestions are listed below:

bra and pantie sets

lingerie

swim wear (bikinis)

the little black dress with high heels

thigh high stockings with garter belts

tank tops/camisoles with pretty panties/thongs

button up shirts

corset or bustier

If you are getting married your shoes and wedding veil are great to bring! Or even raiding your significant other's closet works too! Items like his favorite sport jersey, boxer shorts, dress shirt and tie, his hat, etc.

Fix It Friday 101

This week's Fix it Friday was from the I Heart Faces workshop. They did a little red riding hood theme. Loved it!

The original image was a little bright so I turned down the lights to darken it some. Then I sharpened a tad and adjusted my s curve mid tones. From there I ran an ethereal action and tweaked it a bit. And there you have my color edit.
