The Mid seems to be in tune with live music and nightlife to give music lovers the ultimate concert experience.
The 801-person venue is located at 306 N. Halsted. Outside the doors of the club, the great views of the downtown skyline remind you of the wonderful city of Chicago. Inside The Mid, you will find three full service bars, ample room for dancing, cozy booths and table seating, and a VIP room equipped with its own bar and DJ booth. With the second floor balcony and seating, there is not a bad seat in the house, and the dual-floor bathrooms that are bigger than some apartments. Simple modern touches like exposed brick and dark wood floors make the place look rich yet relaxed. This monumental 60,000 square-foot, David Rockwell-designed venue encompasses seven bars that transition patrons between three lavish rooms and variant musical experiences. The sound system at Marquee is a one-of-a-kind, custom-design by Sound Investment Audio with industry-leading Funktion One components, and a custom fabricated main dance floor area system.
Drawing focus in the Main Room is a 40 foot LED DJ booth and projection stage which is surrounded by plush coliseum-style banquette seating and two dance floors. Overlooking the spectacular main floor is a lavish, Library style room offering an intimate lounge experience accentuated by a fireplace, a billiard table and vintage books whose contents delve into captivating Las Vegas history ranging from gambling to showgirls. In tribute to the tradition of classic mixology, the Library's drink menu will emphasize specialty cocktails with a modern twist.
Venturing further into the venue, club-goers will encounter the lower level Boom Box Room, an intimate boite with strip views and separate DJ; with a state-of- the-art sound system.
Beyond the main nightclub space, Marquee will debut the Dayclub portion of the venue in early spring. The Dayclub will showcase eight cabanas with individual infinity pools and 10 three-story bungalow lofts complete with living quarters and an open air party-deck. The lavish adults-only outdoor facility will also feature inviting sun beds, a gaming area, two pools and daytime food menu from Tao Group's corporate executive chef Ralph Scamardella, with a party fueled by world-renowned DJ talent.

Raised in Colombia, then New Jersey, Erick was weaned on a musical diet of Latin rhythms, reggae and hip hop. He started DJing at the age of 11 and after securing himself DJ sets at several local gigs decided to take a studio engineering course at the local Centre of Media Arts.
He was soon inducted into the house fraternity through his friend Marc Anthony (the Salsa King), whilst he was working with the now legendary Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez on "Ride On The Rhythm". "Louie's kinda watched out for me since the beginning, he never really told me how I should do things, he's just always been supportive".
After somehow scraping together enough equipment to build his own studio, the young Morillo tentatively started approaching labels such as Nervous and Strictly Rhythm with his fledgling productions. This eventually paid off when Strictly picked up on a track called "The New Anthem", under the moniker Reel 2 Reel. Erick quickly followed this release with the classic "I Like To Move It", which went platinum in Holland, gold in the UK, Germany, France and Belgium and opened the doors for Erick's first taste of touring in Europe.
Flush with success but determined to keep his head and music firmly in the underground ("It's where I come from, where I always go back to") he notched up a pair of Billboard #1's with Smooth Touch's "In My House" and his sublime collaboration with buddy Louie Vega, Li'l Mo'Ying Yang's "Reach".
