Drawing dog process

2012-09-26T09:46:00.000-07:00

I've decided make a little process of drawing dog on paper, graphite pencil. I must to let it clear that the drawing have two essencials characteristic: The form and the value. If you aren't sure about the form; I always adviced to my students that don't start the values. Step 1 - Choose a nice photo. You must to choose the best photo that you can find coz' your learning drawing process depends to a photo.

Step 2 - The form. Start making just the object form trying to find Geometric figures as squares, triangles and circles. The pencil that you can used must to be a light pencil (2H or HB). In my case I've started with 2H pencil.

Step 3 - The values. The values graphite pencil that I used are 2H, HB, 2B and 4B; sometimes 6B. You must to start with lights pencils to finally darker.

Step form - The Details.

I've alredy used staedtler pencil and canson watercolor paper (140 lb).

Siguatepeque, Honduras...

2011-05-08T21:33:00.000-07:00

As I said i went to siguatepeque on Easter, so i decided to post some photos that i took.

The first one photo it's funny because i was walking on the mountain with my brother George and He could notice a Frog that was stand by me and I almost touch him. It's amazing how the frogs camouflage with pine needles. I decided to make the same with George's shoes.

What shoes?? Where're the shoes??? I think that works. haha you can compare....

My nephew told me that this photo looks like a Hogwart Forest, but i don't know, i don't remember pines in the movie; This kid are obsessed with Harry Potter...

Eastern...

2011-05-07T21:34:00.000-07:00

So, I was at Siguatepeque, Honduras on Eastern and it's just beatiful, There's a lot of pines and a lot kind of trees that i've never saw before. The wheater was perfect for sketching.
By the way, the coffe that people plant there it's one of the best in all the entire world; i just love it. The pine is the national tree in Honduras.

I found a cable roll stuff made it to wood and I thought that it's a perfect theme for a Sketch.

Monkey Business

2011-02-24T09:14:00.000-08:00

Since last week I have been working in monkeys; that's really cool I've never done it before and I discovered that is funny because it's like you're drawing humans stylized or humans-monsters. whatever, now I know that everybody likes monkeys, except my grandmother; she hates them because she has always thought that they are humans with intelligence and concience but they make themselves fools to touch women... hahaha
