It’s Movember, the time of year, where mens health are in focus, especially focusing on cancer research. My goal of this month is to raise awereness towards this issue, by shaving my face, and by letting my mustache grow. It seems that the congressional leaders have decided not to move forward on these bills (SOPA and PIPA). Now that’s really good news!

Why do we fish with a fly?

Why do we fish with a fly? The answer to that could be many things, each one different than the other. For me personally, I fish with a fly, not because I need to get something to eat (although sometimes it’s nice to eat a fish that you just caught), but because I get peace in mind. It’s something really enjoyable, walking down to a creek or a pond, knowing that there might be some hatchings, and that it’s just you, the nature and the trout, that you are trying to catch, for the next few hours. The fact that you can escape from your daily chores for just a few hours is really satisfying, and at the same time do something you really enjoy, must be the best thing in the world. That’s making me feel privileged.

I found a great video on Vimeo, which reflects on this topic, and that gives us an inside look of what goes on in the head of a fly fisher sometimes. Although it’s enjoyable, it can be really frustrating, to be a fly fisher.

Why free WordPress-themes are bad for you

Are you using free WordPress-themes for your website? Have you thought about the code behind the theme, and what it does to
your website? Well, you should! After reading this article, I learned that free Wordpress-themes often contain unwanted code that may harm your own website.

PS: For safe themes, you could always use wordpress.org.Although many themes doesn’t do anything harmfull, there are some that does, and it’s only fair that you knew about that. So head over to wpmu.org and read all about it.

What will the new iPad 3 look like?

Apple is soon to release a new iPad. What will it look like? Will it be even thinner? Will it have a Retina Display? These are some of the questions Apple-geeks (including myself) are asking themselves. Some of the rumors surrounding the anticipated release of the new iPad 3 (if that will be it’s name) are:

iPad 3 concept

More storage (128GB, due to the drop in prices of flash storage).
It might be thicker, because of the new Retina Display which they may include. If that’s the case, the resolution will be even greater than comared to it’s predecessors.
It might include a SD card slot.
The camera should hopefully be better.
The new iPad could include a new processor, Apple’s A6.

All we can do now is wait. The release date is not yet known, but there are som rumors about that as well: Spring 2012 or as early as February.
