I had a really lucky weekend! Yard sales were great. My couponing trips were great. Father's Day was great. I am happy!

We started out Friday, and there were only a couple. I got three brand new lamp shades (still wrapped) for $1 each, two decorative pumpkins for the fall for $1, a booster seat for $4, and a waffle maker for $3.

Saturday began slowly, but I made a great find at the end, <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/z5JmYgYUQvw" height="1" width="1"/>

Finding your look at Flight Clothing Boutique!

This weekend was a LONG one. Jackson had a baseball tournament that started with one game Friday evening, starting back at the ball fields Saturday morning at 8:30, and leaving around 5:00. With that being said, it was a GREAT day! Their team was definitely the underdog. They only had 7 players, and in their league, all players get to go on the field and bat, so the other teams had at least 10<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/C3MOR6wQHXk" height="1" width="1"/>

New Front Patio

I am so excited to share this post with you, because it means I am finally done! Birthday Party

We had the best time at Brady's birthday party. I planned for it to be outside, so of course there was a chance for showers on the day of the big event. We waited until the last possible moment to set up, so I ran out of time to take pictures before our guests arrived. Luckily, Ryan was on photographer duty and did a good job. I'll share the pictures I have and the fun details for our Diego <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/begK4-hoHQg" height="1" width="1"/>

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~3/begK4-hoHQg/go-diego-go-birthday-party.html" title="Go Diego Go! I feel like I was just creating the heading for Brady's 3rd birthday. Boy, how time flies!

I am really excited about this year, because we are having a birthday party for him and his preschool friends. He chose Diego as his theme. To be honest, he chose Dora and was highly encouraged to go with Diego!

It has been fun collecting ideas, because you probably have guessed that I won't pay full <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/7bNu20CHRco" height="1" width="1"/>

Yard Sale Finds #2

I am just now getting to post my finds from yesterday's yard sale treasure hunt! We have had a busy weekend between baseball and yard work.

Ryan had a Math Tournament at his school (sounds so nerdy!), so we had to take the boys with us. That led to more toy buying, but I felt like our efforts were really successful.

We hit a few single yard sales, and ended at two community sales. My front bathroom is lacking a place to hang towels right by the shower. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to walk across the bathroom, tracking water along the way and getting cold, to get my towel. Seeing that this is our guest bathroom, I don't wish that upon them either.

I found some old bath tub knobs at an antique store. They were $28, which is more than I would like to spend on my<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/CJZC3cVPIaw" height="1" width="1"/>

A New Neighbor

I am so thankful the spring weather has finally arrived! Of course, the severe weather alerts will also start tomorrow. In the meantime, the family has been enjoying being outside. We have many projects started that I can't wait to share with you. We have to finish them first!

The boys were helping me in my herb garden and checking on some trees that we planted in the fall, and they discovered <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/8R-sgsnrv_M" height="1" width="1"/>

Yard Sale Finds

It's finally the start of yard sale season! Getting up and going put a big smile on my face for the day. Usually, Ryan and the boys stay home, and I tag along with my parents. But this morning, I went solo due to mom going to Goodwill's 50% off sale. Brady had his first baseball game this morning, which prevented me from traveling there.

They started off very slow. I stopped by an estate <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/LVa1nCQnEpI" height="1" width="1"/>

Hang on to Those Plastic Eggs!

Last year, while perusing Pinterest, I found a wreath made of plastic Easter eggs. I didn't think much of it until I ran into a bag of free Publix eggs at a yard sale. What an awesome opportunity to make a cute Easter wreath!

I had one of those messy straw wreaths that I found at Goodwill for $1 on their 50% off day. Keep the plastic on it to save the hassle of straw everywhere. Any type <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/X2Q2qbRYgVM" height="1" width="1"/>

Menu Planner Template Update

All well-furnished garages have a few cabinets as well. Let's face it, cabinets are very important furnishings in any house. The lifetime expectancy of cabinets depends on their construction and use. This post is from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company. My addiction to tea in the mornings with two heaping spoonfuls of sugar and the attempt to become healthier in our family's food choices drew me to this information. I also liked that when you sign up for e-mails, you get 15% off!

Super Bowl Sunday is almost here! Since the Patriots are no longer in it, the excitement has kind of died off. That's my husband's team, and you would have been very entertained if you were with us when they were playing the Ravens.

Needless to say, I'm sure we will still be watching the game. Since we've got little guys and have to go to work early the next morning, we make a night of it in<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/o4yiDR3MWRw" height="1" width="1"/>

Substitute “Greenwashing” with Recycling

The following is an interesting article that really made me think about recycling, being green, and having an awareness for inaccurate propaganda. I am all about reusing when I can!

Until you know the meanings of “greenwashing” and recycling, you may never see the need to replace the former with the latter. It is thus important that you have a grasp of these two terms from the outset.

The boys and I (and even Daddy!) have been working on their valentines. I searched my favorite inspirational place, {Pinterest}, for cute ideas. There are a ton of awesome valentines out there! You can also see what Jackson made last year {here}.

I decided on cute little Hershey Kiss mice this year. It only cost me $3 total for both boys' classes! I already had all of the supplies needed <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Erins2Cents/~4/gc4Vj4D_GLk" height="1" width="1"/>

The Budget Challenge
