Alba del genial blog "Mi vida con un vegano" hizo una propuesta abierta para hacer un "Swap Vegano", es decir enviar y recibir "regalitos" veganos (una receta salada, una receta dulce, ya sea un té o un chocolate y algunas semillas para sembrar en casa) Cuando lo leí inmediatamente dije sí, ¡me apunto! ¡Me encanta la idea!

Envié mi sobre a Madrid a Sonia Martelo, y ella me envió algunas cosas hechas a mano muy muy bonitas! También venían las recetas, las semillas y el té! ¡Me encantó!

Gracias Alba por organizarlo y gracias Sonia por preparar un envío tan lindo!.. Me encantó participar en el intercambio! Ahora..¡a cocinar!

Alba from the lovely blog "Mi vida con un vegano" made an open proposal about doing a vegan swap, that means that you get a penpal and send to each other some vegan stuff (a salty recipe, a sweet recipe, either a tea or a chocolate and some seeds to plant some herbs).. I read that and said YES! I want to do that!

I send some stuff to Madrid to Sonia Martelo and she sent to me some pretty handmade things! and the recipes, the seeds and the tea!

Thanks Alba and Sonia.. I loved to participate in the Swap!

Autumn, a little cold, going to the movies, netflix, christmas trees... that is what have been the last few days around here.

The movie that I was waiting, "Like Crazy" was released last Friday ... and it's precious!

The music, the colors, the actors, the photography and especially the story... as life itself.

A little suffering to remind us that we are always changing and there are some things that never change.

W & Cie Agency made a corporate ID makeover and this earned them a Silver Lion at the Cannes Film Festival 2011.

I have been "in love" with these guys ever since I start to live with a plant base diet...they are a great inspiration and I had not seen this videos. Bob Harper, Rip Esselstyn and Joshua Katcher together...Super sexy vegans (sorry.. I had to say it!)

Rip Esselstyn is the author of Engine2Diet, he is a firefighter, he was a professional triathlete for over a decade and also he is on Forks over Knives… with his dad!

Bob Harper has been criticized by many vegans (because they believe that it is not vegan enough) but in the words of Mr. Discerningbrute:

"Veganism is not a religion, or about being puritanical. It's a social justice movement and no one can be perfect or flawless, or make changes in every single area of their lives overnight.

Bob's leverage and influence for helping animals is enormous, and I for one, am happy he has "come out" as vegan."

And I can not agree more. Happy Friday!

De niña tenía una gran obsesión con este video y con esta canción.. después descubrí "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" y quise mucho más a Audrey!

De cualquier forma...que genial está Madonna en este video!

As a girl I had a great obsession with this video and this song, later I discovered " Diamonds are a girl' s best friend" and I loved Audrey so much more!

Siempre he tenido algún tipo de fijación con las maletas antiguas y me encantaría tener una colección de ellas. La única que tengo la recogí un día por la calle de Alcalá en Madrid y me encanta.

Aquí algunas ideas de que se puede llegar a hacer con ellas.

Hoy hace un año que tomé la decisión de hacer un cambio en mi vida. Una decisión que cambia vidas.

He estado "coqueteando" con el vegetarianismo y el veganismo por los últimos 15 años, pero el intentar vivir con una dieta vegana me vino a raíz de empezar a leer, ver, pensar, sentir y querer hacer un cambio; eso se empieza con uno mismo y cuando uno ha visto, leído, oído, pensado…no hay vuelta atrás.

Mi año siendo vegana ha sido toda una aventura. No ha sido fácil y no he sido 100% vegana todo el tiempo… como dicen por ahí 80% buena, 20% intentarlo ser. Creo que mi mayor conflicto reside en los ingredientes "ocultos" y en el pan dulce (esa gran gran parte de la gastronomía mexicana a la que me está costando renunciar, pero que poco a poco voy ganando la partida).

No empecé a ser vegana por perder peso (que no ha pasado, pero si lo he mantenido), ni tampoco por enfermedad (pero mi salud ha mejorado), empecé por la impotencia de saber que es lo que está pasando, de como nos "están" alimentando, de como están siendo tratados los animales, de como está procesada nuestra comida, de los daños hechos al planeta por los sistemas de producción…y de muchos otros motivos.

Ha sido un año lleno de bonitas experiencias, malas críticas, buena comida, muchísimo aprendizaje, mucha compasión, amor, salud y bienestar.

Today, a year ago I made the decision to make a change in my life. A decision that changes lives.

I have been "flirting" with the vegetarianism and the veganism by last the 15 years, but trying to live with a vegan diet came to me as a result of beginning to read, to see, to think, to feel and to want to make a change; a change that begins with ourselves. And when someone has seen, read, heard, thought… there is no u turn.

My year as a vegan has been an adventure. It has not been easy and I have not been 100% vegan all the time… as they say 80% good, 20% try it to be.

I believe that the only problem that i have are the "hidden" ingredients and with the "sweet bread" (pan dulce) (that great great part of the Mexican gastronomy to which is vert hard to let go, but....little by little).

I did not begin to be vegan to lose weight (but I have maintained it), nor either by any disease (but my health has improved), I began because i know what it is happening, because of how "they" are feeding us, because of knowing how animal are being treated, how our food is processed, the damages done to the planet by the mass production systems… and because many other reasons.

It has been a year full of wonderful experiences, bad critics, good food, learning a lot of new things, a lot of compassion, love, health and well-being.

For many years to come!
