Interpretation:

Interpretation:

Song starts with the guy remembering his relationship with a girl whom he thought he loved and could make it work. The girl was happier than him, there were problems in the relationship burdening him which he could not express as he felt that her happiness is of more importance. He ended up feeling lonely in her company. He still loved her despite her faults even though it hurt him.

His goal was to get through each day , waiting & hoping that one day she realizes and changes her character while understanding his love and care for her and return the same back. In the end the problems outgrew his love and they decided to end it.

After the breakup even though they agreed to stay as friends, she behaved like a stranger. All the time and all the things they had spoke to each other when they were in love has been invalidated now.

All the time and effort and energy is lost forever. He is unable to express the pain he feels ie all of a sudden he is the stranger. (echoes throughout the song)

She tells her side of the story, where the guy had not let go of his feeling for his old gf and how it affected the mood of the relationship. May be he was unconsciously comparing his relationship to her with his ex - gf and not seeing her as good as his x.

The guy now argues that it may be true up to an extent but the treatment which he is receiving from her after the breakup is totally uncalled for, as though "they" never existed. Now she is just a person that he used to know.

Love is everything, love precedes hatred. Love is the common thing which we share across boundaries and at times illogical.

Character is at the end of some sort of a peaceful phase in her life and she is bracing for a storm that is about to come. She is ready , her heart is ready. She has undergone much preparation for the moment that matters and which is coming, it would be a shame now if it doesn't occur. She wants to dissolve in the moment and be it and own it.

When the storm begins she wants to stand strong along with her partner(s), even though it seems impossible and the faintest of chances that they will pull through the storm - she still believes in her and her partners. The storm might be the government or some mafia - she is aware of their dirty deeds in the dark and what happens to people who question against their authority. She is also aware that she is being tracked by them but has not fallen prey for their propaganda, her heart is still in the right place, having the courage to resist.

This is nice song with a great groove. The lyrics are self explanatory but you gotta love the way the author has transcended sex to feelings and love.
The character in this song likes the company of his partner, he knows that he is in the cusp of falling in love and is having a difficult time not knowing how his partner would respond to the idea. He is sure that he would and is loving her deeply and at the same time he wants her to give proof for their love, so that he can fall in love deeper and deeper.

There's a lady who's sure

about the path to get there. She believes in illogical ways to get there.
This may be a reference to the way the Evangelists preach the ministry of
prosperity. The part where they say, donate gold\money\anything possible to
them and God will return you N times. There are also evangelists who sell
things in the name of god. Ex: A cut-out key of the size of a clock, which
is blessed by the lord and you can hang it in your home to keep your home safe.
This is nothing new, these things can be found in almost all religions.
Back in the middle ages the Church used to sell bonds for the redemption of sins.

So the lady here has fallen to the pattern where she leads a wrongful life
and is aware of it and to comfort her guilt she is buying her
forgiveness by spending money on things that she thinks will wash her sins.
(Like the ones mentioned above.) She is pretty confident that her ways will
open the doors to heaven.
