“Welcome to Sparkle’s Tavern, a bizarre little hole-in-the-wall. The story centers around a government agent who is following a spy (Romay) who puts some sort of secret chip up women's butts in order to carry out only God knows what. I had to view this film in Spanish without any subtitles so I'm not exactly sure what the chips were being used for but it doesn't appear that there was too much to the story since the majority of the 83-minute running time centers on the sex scenes. For the most part these scenes are poorly shot and you can tell that the director was working on a very low budget. At least this time out Franco was able to cast some better looking women as some of his hardcore films seem to have him digging at the bottom of the barrel. Romay is pretty good in her few scenes in the film, although she only appears at the start and end. If you're wanting to see her in hardcore action then here's another chance as that's all she's really doing. The supporting cast members are interesting at best, although Franco does show up in a few scenes. There's really nothing here that stands out among the other hardcore films Franco was making during this time period but if you must view everything the director has done (like me) this one here is certainly far better than some of the movies he was making around this time

History is warped yet again by Box Office International, in this lavish, lewd and ludicrous epic by producer (Mantis In Lace) and occasional director (Secret Sex Lives Of Romeo & Juliet) Peter Perry. According to Perry's version, Julius Caesar is a corpulent grump, lamenting the drab quality of orgy talent while a concubine drapes herself across his royal presence. At the mention of Cleopatra as an exotic addition to his carnal menu, he orders his cohort Mark Anthony (`Rome's greatest lover') to Egypt to check out the talent - with a strict hands-off policy. Cut to Mark Anthony, whose hands are anywhere but off the Nubian nuptials. After a ringside seat at a virgin sacrifice and multi-racial orgy, Anthony and co return to Rome understandably knackered; Cleo and her handmaiden (!!) follow them incognito. She has a thing for Mark Anthony herself, but ambition gets the better of her, and finds the way to a Caesar's heart is through his stomach. Mark Anthony meanwhile becomes the patsy for Caesar's murder, and discovers her treachery while on the run. Exit Cleo, exit Mark Anthony, and historical accuracy is flushed down the aqueduct once more for good luck.

Absolute stunner Sonora proves `Black is Beautiful', in a rare example of an Afro-American lead in a sexploitation flick, while Mark Anthony aka Johnny Rocco (Exotic Dreams Of Casanova) manages both the cheapo one-liners and gut-wrenching melodrama without moving his teeth. But it's Caesar (Jay Edwards, also from Casanova)who gets the best lines - `Cleopatra or not, you sure are a stacked bitch!' - while he's not cramming grapes into his portly gob. Definitely more than a mouthful, this tantalizing titbit.

eye on the two other women competing with Alicia for the Marquis’s attention, Claudia and the West
Indian maid Sara (Jennifer James), who is unhappily married to the butler himself. Now forced by
her uncle to remain in the exclusive company of women, Alicia is reminded (via a flashback) of
her intense past affair with another woman (Nina Merlan), and soon initiates a sexual relationship
with the Marquis’s lesbian sister (Mirna Bel). Then she starts making moves towards Claudia as does,
in parallel, the Marquis.

When Claudia proves unresponsive towards the Marquis, although she seems to appreciate him,
the simmering aristocrat turns his eye towards Alicia, whom he espies as she is pleasuring
herself with a dildo, not knowing that she has been deliberately set up to seduce her.
He bursts into her room and pounces on her (“I’ll show you where my title comes from!”).
The deed accomplished, Alicia later tries to seduce Claudia only to discover (cue for a
body double for Andrea Albani) that “she” is actually a transvestite. Some time later,
Alicia announces that she has become pregnant and the Marquis agrees to marry her.
But, to the butler’s dismay, he still seems more interested in Claudia, whom he wants
to be with for the last time. Alicia locks her uncle in the room with the peepholes and
then sets up a lesbian orgy involving herself, the Marquis’s sister and Sara. Meanwhile,
the Marquis, as Claudia decides to respond to him, starts feeling between “her” legs.
After the initial dismay, he simply says, echoing Billy Wilder and Joe E. Brown, “Well,
better too much than too little. Nobody’s perfect!”. They continue with their lovemaking.
Amidst all this, the butler, unable to leave the room, finds himself furiously bouncing
back and forth between the two peepholes, despairingly seeing either the Marquis with
Claudia (“that faggot sonofabitch!”) or Alicia with the two women (“that dyke!”).
Seeing the irretrievable failure of the plan he had been working on for years, he hangs
himself (!), which is conveyed by the director as a shot of his feet kicking very actively
and angrily at the top of the frame as a chair lies on the ground. The story over,
the Marquis settles down with Claudia and Alicia leaves with the stable-boy.

Violencia na Carne AKA Violence and Flesh (1981) - Alfredo Sternheim

Three escaped convicts terrorize the occupants staying at a remote beach side residence.

Violence and Flesh was written and directed by Alfredo Sternheim, whose other notable film’s include Anjo Loiro (this film was adapted from the Heinrich Mann novel titled “Professor Unrat”) and Pureza Proibida. The score for Violence and Flesh features music that was originally composed for other films, the most notable music being Pino Donaggio’s score for Dressed to Kill.

The plot for Violence and Flesh is not original by any means as it clearly was based on some or all of these films, The Virgin Spring, Last House on the Left, Last House on the Beach and House on the Edge of the Park. The plot’s initial set up takes some time before it gets to the meat of the story. The film’s major turning point is a scene where one of the female hostages Neila is asked to entertain the escaped convicts with a sex dance. Her provocative dance ignites the pent of sex drive of one of the convicts who proceeds to rape her. One of the film’s more WTF moments is when it comes time for one of the other convicts to choose his sexual partner he reverts back to his prison mentality and chooses one of the men as his conquest. While he is having his way with one of the men, there are two lesbians getting it on in the corner (now that’s entertainment). In a film that is full of bizarre and over the top moments, the most unusual character in the film is a young woman named Leticia who falls in love with one of the convicts. The predictable ending is kind of a letdown after a near flawless final act.

Early on there is a brief reference to the film’s title when one of the lesbians mentions “Every sin is punished by violence”, this line which is in reference to this character telling her parents that she was a lesbian also plays into how religion condemns homosexuality. It is also surprising just how much political and social oriented issues are interjected into this plot considering that these are two issues that the Brazilian government frowned most upon when this film was made.

The cast feature some familiar faces like Helena Ramos (The Chick’s Ability), Neide Ribeiro (Bare Behind Bars) and Nadia Destro (Bare Behind Bars). Ultimately Violence and Flesh’s delirious dialog and ample amount of naked flesh more than make up for the mediocre acting.

"The film, which is pretty short at 65 minutes, is about a sexually active photographer named Steve who does nude photography for a living. He is able to bed women with his good looks and his prowess in the sack. He meets Sherrie (Montello) at a dance club and they have a relationship. However, one day on the beach he meets up with Erika (Erica Gavin) who is the woman of his dreams and has an affair with her and hoping that Sherrie doesn't find out.

That's pretty much the plot. In its short runtime there is a lot of nudity and "philisophical discussions". It's pretty much in the same ratio as today's hardcore porn when it comes to sex content. Not much in the way of acting except for the explicit, sexually suggestive dialog. The music is typical hip 1970's style stuff. The dance bar scenes are cool with the lights.
Of course, the women are very nice. Julie Stone, Steve's first conquest, is very nice. Erica Gavin looks facially like Salma Hayek but with a little more baby fat and has a superb figure. However, it is all about the pre-Playboy Merci, who looks incredible as expected.
This movie airs occasionally on Drive-in Classics in Canada so if you have that channel you should check it out to see Merci and the girls. Great eye candy." -- imdb (user's review)

When a fashion model dies during an abortion, a series of murders begins, starting with her doctor. The next victims are connected to the modeling agency where she worked, Albatross, run by a hard edged and jealous bi-sexual, Gisella, married to a Farouk-like dissolute. One suspect is Carlo, a playboy photographer who has a hot temper and refuses to share information with the police. He becomes the lover of Magda, another photographer at the agency, who's probably in danger. The murderer wears a black motorcycle outfit and helmet. Will anyone discover the murderer's identity before the entire agency dies?

IMDb comments: A conductor has grown tired of sex, ignoring his wife played by the always beautiful Annette Haven, but his masterpiece is to be a recording of women having orgasms. He hires a sound engineer to procure them, in stereo. With $500 an orgasm at stake he takes matters into his own hands with a half dozen different women, including the wife of course, to fulfill his clients wishes. Because of the theme of the movie, the sounds are very authentic making the scenes more memorable. This movie also appears to have been filmed before all sense of style and plot went away in the adult film industry. It is interesting that according to the date of release Crystal Breeze would have been 16 during filming, but she sure doesn't look it. She is also credited as Mindy Cole on the Excalibur release.
