Okay, the thing is, instead of one, I’ve come up two version final artwork and it seems I cannot decide which version to go with. Version 1 is simple color tone and just nice to see, while version 2, I added some grainy effect and vintage color tone and a little bit of lighting effects which I prefer this way much better. version 1 or version 2?

so guys HELP me out here, which one you prefer the most? shout your decision, comments or suggestions in the comments dialog below.

Briefly tell us little bit about yourself and what you do?
I’m Romel “Boiberds” Belga. A fine Arts, major in Visual Communication and Design. I’m a graphic artist here in the Philippines. I’m an artist in a lot of ways, I love Creating and visualising new ideas of piece of Art. I play drums with my band “BLANKO” when I’m not working, I really love listening to different kinds of genre, I use Music as my tone in creating a piece of art.

Where do you source for good inspirations?
My major inspiration/influences are the surreal digital artists, as well as the surealists painters. I began to evolve my own style by first copying the style of those i admire.

How is your frequent design working process like? how long would it takes to finish?
Starting with a cliche idea and finding the right photos and elements which I think will fit into my design.
Either starting point probably moves toward the other, but they won’t likely end at the exact same place.
Combining all the elements that I think will fit in the artwork that Im doing. Just perfectly ajusting all the colors, lightings and shadows of the photos to make it more attractive and looked as one. For personal works there is no rule, if I have a strong idea and a clear final vision I can finish it in 1-2 days, as it was for my series. From the time I start my art piece I work with the music, I listen to it while working. It all affects how I design.

Can you tell us which are your most favorite artwork and why?
I would say, “Baby come back” the man with the island in his head. I created this piece based on my experience. Haha! I just like it for now, but maybe in future it might change my perspective as I like trying new things.

How did you improve the skills and ideas in your drawing techniques?
You might have heard of it before but really, practice makes perfect. I usually play around the design I’m working on. Trying different things until I get what I exactly want. There’s nothing wrong with it and you will be able to learn a lot from it. The key is to get out of your comfort zone.

What are the softwares + hardwares you currently use to create the artworks?
Mainly I just use Adobe Photoshop, it is the program with the most possibilities for configuration, adjustments and tools.

Tell us about your mentor or idol?
The first person comes in my mind is Peter Jaworowski all though his style is different from mine. All his works are just amazing, so clean, organized and highly conceptualized. Its just awesome! Here’s the link to his works hejz.com and I understand that Jaworowski is been interviewed by you before which makes me feels this interview to be such an honor to be featured at EsharkDesign.

What are your coming projects? and what are your goals or future plans for your career?
Right now im still doing my new artwork, you may check out my links for updates shadowness.com/boiberds and behance.net/boiberds. Just like the wish of most of us, I wish to be known worldwide. Definitely, I will continue creating digital/Surreal artworks, continue growing and improving more and more in this field that i have chosen.

What are the biggest achievement you’ve achieved so far?
Hmmm.. Right now my works had been featured in different sites such as shockblast.net, digitalartserved.com, art-spire.com and I’ve done some interviews in online magazines.

If you’re not a designer/illustrators, what will you possibly be by now?
I would’ve concentrated in the band I’m in right now.

What sort of advice you can share to young designers and illustrators out there?
Take it easy. Learn by the rules. Once you know it by heart, blend them until you have your own signature style that everyone will recognize. Just do what you love, and love what you do! make that creative juices flow in your works!
