It's been too long since that "quick update." The truth is, there was nothing to update you about. No worries, there still isn't. I've recently decided to put that camera down, and work on what I already have. Remember me saying I just did a photo shoot? Or that I just took some good pics? Think of those as lies, considering I haven't worked on them. I'm telling myself, work on those other pictures! I keep taking more, and piling them up on my hard drive. It's officially time for some Spring Cleaning, or Photo Spring Cleaning. Here is the new pic I just worked on. Hopefully, I'll blog more often. No promises.
It's pretty late and I need to get to bed soon. Today was my first full day of school this week, and it seemed to go by faster than I expected. I've probably just jinxed myself and tomorrow will be a slow and boring day -- up until when I get home, then the weekend will fly by too fast. In my art class we're researching artists for a project and I'm thinking of choosing Wassily Kandinsky. I have to reproduce a piece of his work and i think I'm doing either "On White II" or another one like it, but it's name escapes me.. Anyways, his art is thought-provoking and interesting so I'm probably choosing him. Well, off to bed. Goodnight, good morning, or good day to all of you.

Day 4

I had a headache last night and didn't get the chance to blog.. Anyways, I've been having a good day. My days seem to start slow, and just get faster and faster throughout. I got outside and shot today, but nothing seemed to be all that great. I still need to upload two new pictures I took on "Day 1." I hope to start doing photography more often. I feel like I waste my time on things that I consider important at the time, but they turn out to be very unimportant instead of working on things that truly matter to me. Well, I better get to bed so tomorrow morning isn't misery for me.

Day 2

Last time I blogged, I was inspired.. Unlike now. For some reason, my work doesn't live up to my older work.. Maybe I'm setting the bar too high for myself.. Is that possible? Before, I felt like this had to be professional. Now I realize, this can't be professional.. I can't possibly get popular for my artificial posts where I don't seem human.. I have to remember this is MY blog.. and it should be ME. Anyway.. Back to photography. I don't know why, but suddenly my newest work disappoints me. My inspiration shows in my work, and my inspiration lately seems hollow. I'm getting used to not being the best I can be.. Which is the most disappointing thing of all. Maybe if it write it down, the things that bother me most.. or the things that get in my way of getting what I want.. Then I will open up again. If I hold any emotion in, I might lose it forever.

Update

I'm doing a new "project" that I'm very excited about. I don't want to hype it up and make it sound like a big deal, but I want it to be different than anything else I have done. I love trying out different things, including types of photography. I'm being very precise about this project and I want to take my time with it.

Here is a little sample of what it may entail:
It's truly an organ in the body to keep blood moving. The actual shape is nothing like it is in the picture above. So why does love always have to do with hearts? Why do people say someone "broke" their heart? It's rather poetic, because of the connections. The heart pumps blood, as well as love. If a heart is broken, the heart stops pumping the love.

Many people believe light colors are "girl" colors and dark colors are "guy" colors. This concept got me thinking about why it's this way. Why isn't it the other way around? I know if I take bright colors out of all of my photos, they're going to look boring and dull. If I take all the dark colors out of my photos, they're going to be boring or dull. Everything goes from black and white to color. When I was thinking about this, I remembered yesterday a photographer on Facebook was talking about which one people prefer. That got me thinking, does it really matter? I love color, but black and white can really bring out a pictures' beauty. I like black and white and color equally because they bring a different look of beauty to a photo.

"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."

-Andy Warhol
