The “Greene Shorts” Bestiality Collection Volume 1

My first all-bestiality collection of stories is out! As always, see the website for purchasing links.

I totally go to the dogs (and some horses) with this collection, which brings together four short stories that have previously been released individually, and one new story, unavailable anywhere else. The five stories are:
• “Great With Child”
• “Mom and Muttly”
• “The Dog Upstairs”
• “Mary and Joseph”
• “Auntie's Horses” - In this all-new story, we have an incestuous brother-sister couple and their mother visiting their aunt Doris on her farm. Unknown to the teenaged kids, not only does their mother have a little thing going on with her sister, but aunt Doris also has a not-so-little thing going on with her two stallions. Before the story’s over, all sorts of antics between family members and horses have taken place.

Three of these stories combine incest themes with the doggy or horsey sex. I guess that combination is sort of a peanut butter and chocolate thing with me.

Naturally (as discussed elsewhere), this volume is banned from the Amazon Kindle store, since they know better than you what sorts of books you ought to be reading. But Kindle as well as other eReader formats are available via the Smashwords and NBP links.

I’m celebrating Spring with a good old-fashioned ultra-naughty short story. Incest and doggy sex are the themes this time, as college student Mary comes home for vacation and shakes up her family with her hyper-sexual ways. First she lets her father “accidentally” walk in on her while she’s enjoying the attentions of her faithful dog Joseph, and then she’s taking her younger brother to bed to give him his first sexual experience.

And things don’t stop there, of course. As usual, the sex is steamy, non-stop, and boisterously joyful.

I used lots of biblical names in this one, just to make Rick Santorum and the religious right happy. I hope they appreciate it!

PayPal Backpedals

Well, golly. I didn’t expect this. PayPal has--for the most part--reversed itself on the erotica-censoring policy it announced just a few weeks ago.

As a result, all my beast-y and incest-y stories are available again on Smashwords, and will continue to be available through the many outlets that get content from Smashwords.

I say “for the most part” above because under PayPal’s new policy they still reserve the option of banning individual e-books with “potentially illegal images”--and of course they themselves will decide what is “potentially illegal.” (Um, excuse me PayPal, but what isn’t “potentially illegal”?) This remaining bit of corporate arrogance and stupidity won’t effect my e-books, but it’s still arrogant and stupid.

So hurray. I would like to call out some of the heroes of this victory for free speech and rationality:

“Remittance Girl”: An erotica author, RG wrote open letters to Visa and MasterCard, received responses that showed that PayPal’s claim that they were being forced into their new policy by the credit card companies was simply untrue, and successfully publicized those responses.

No Boundaries Press: An erotica e-book publisher that moved quickly and boldly to provide banned authors with an alternative to Smashwords. I’m going to continue to sell my books through these fine people, along with Smashwords and other outlets.

Suw Charman-Anderson: A contributor to Forbes who wrote some high-profile articles about this issue, always coming down squarely against PayPal’s actions and in favor of free speech. See the final paragraph of the article that her name links to for a great example.

And of course, any and all of you folks who took the time to sign a petition or write to PayPal to protest their shenanigans.

Usually, I only use this blog to announce new stories and collections. Hopefully now we can all get back to the business-as-usual of writing and reading naughty stories. I’m looking forward to it!

New, Non-Censoring Outlet

In response to the PayPal/Smashwords censorship crackdown I described a couple of blogposts ago, I've begun selling all my ebooks through a new distributor: No Boundaries Press. Through this nicely laid out and easy to use website, you can purchase all my ebooks in mobi, ePub and PDF formats. New "NBP" purchasing links have been added to the home page of my website. Here’s a link to my Author’s Page on No Boundaries Press, which lists all of my ebooks.

Note that No Boundaries Press is a small company that's moving quickly to fill the niche left open by PayPal's shenanigans. There may be some glitches in the purchasing process in these early days, but in my experience they've been very quick to resolve problems if you email them.

Hopefully this move will keep the crazy corporate censors from dictating whether or not you're allowed to read my stories. Whether it works as a long term solution depends on the credit card companies, and how crazy they decide to get. And that, in turn, will partly depend on how much public backlash there is against PayPal for their recent craziness.

Side-“stepping” Amazon’s Rules

Since Amazon’s censorship crackdown, it’s become a hugely common practice among self-publishing erotica authors to sneak around Amazon’s rule against incest-y themes by making the characters “stepparents,” “stepchildren,” “step-siblings,” etcetera. Up until now I haven’t done this, but now I have, reworking some past titles just for Amazon.

And I’ve had some fun with it. The four titles shown below have been rewritten so that all the incestuous characters are now “step-incestuous.” The step-versions of these stories are only on Amazon.

I don’t know if I’ll be doing this makeover-for-Amazon thing with any other stories. It was fun for these four titles, but as one of the characters in (Step) Fathers and Daughters points out, it can feel a little contrived after a while.

More Censorship

Sad news today.

PayPal is initiating a crackdown on vendors who sell erotica, and this in turn is forcing Smashwords to pass along that crackdown to its authors.

The erotica topics under fire include the usual suspects: incest, bestiality, and underaged sex. In addition, “pseudo incest” (involving step parents, etc.) and “barely legal” (where the youth of a character is emphasized, though there’s no actual underaged activity) are also included in PayPal’s verboten list. In other words, some sexual acts that are perfectly legal to perform in real life are now forbidden in fiction where PayPal has any say in the matter.

Tra la, tra la. Human stupidity marches boldly onward.

So many of my titles will no longer be available from Smashwords, or from the various retailers that Smashwords distributes to. That last category notably includes the Apple iBook store, which represents a significant portion of my sales, as did direct sales from Smashwords.

The bottom line for my eBooks is that, for the time being, many of them will be available only in the Barnes & Noble Nook store -- and gosh only knows how long it will be before Barnes & Noble joins in on the mad rush to 17th century puritanism.

In the longer term, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I may be able to get my newly-banned titles back into the Apple iBook store. Other options may crop up to take the place of Smashwords and/or PayPal. Or things may only get worse -- more and more censorship, less and less free choice for all of us.

Latest Story: “Goody Two-Shoes”

Something a little different this time out (again). This is a longer work than my usual short stories, being a novella of 24,000 words, or the equivalent of about 90 print pages.

The star of this rollicking and sexy tale is Jennifer; a gorgeous and lovable young woman who talks like a “goody two-shoes,” and never, ever uses bad words. But underneath the innocent exterior, Jennifer is a joyfully ravenous seductress who never met a man or woman that she didn’t want to have sex with. Some animal instinct seems to tell Jennifer the deepest desires and secret needs of everyone she sets her sights on, so she’s one seductress who always bags her prey.

As always with my stories, the sexual escapades are non-stop, varied, exuberantly joyful, occasionally perverse, and (if I may immodestly say so myself) elegantly and juicily written.

New Collection: “A Chain of Mothers”

My latest release is something new and different. My typical pattern has been to release short stories in my “Greene Shorts” series individually, and then to gather a set of these together and release them as a collection, including one all-new story in the collection.

This time around, I have a collection that’s entirely new material -- none of these stories have been previously released individually or in any collection.

As you can guess from the title, the stories in this collection are all on the theme of incestuous motherly love. These stories are shorter than the ones in the “Greene Shorts” series, but there are twelve of them in this collection. In terms of word-count, this ebook is about the same size as The Collected “Greene Shorts”; Volumes 1 or 3. This all-new-stories format gave me the freedom to try out shorter story lengths. Some of the pieces in this book are hot little quickies, while others are longer, with multiple sexual scenes in a fleshed-out story.

But in all of them, you’ll find the usual quirky, steamy, imaginative, and just plain fun sex that I love writing about!

Well, I released my first all-incest collection last month, so I suppose I should be moving on to other topics for a while. But I found I couldn’t quit the incest theme cold turkey, so this is my “tapering off” story; it has incest mixed with doggy sex.

The female character in this story was especially fun to write. Angeline is a woman who has some deliciously unusual sexual cravings, but who has no intention of conceding to anyone that she harbors those cravings. Getting some nasty sex without admitting that you want it is easy when your partner is a dog, but not so easy when your partner is a son who doesn’t appreciate your pretense that he’s forcing himself on you. But Angeline has ways of getting what she wants, on her own terms...

Lester is a divorced father who finds that being a single parent to a teenage daughter has some unexpected difficulties when his daughter starts exposing herself to him, “Very deliberately and very explicitly,” as he explains to his ex-wife Sharon.

But Sharon doesn’t share Lester’s concern. She had her own very happy experience with father-daughter sex as a girl (told in flashback), so her cavalier advice to Lester is “Go for it!” Needless to say, Lester’s righteous restraint doesn’t last long, especially after he finds himself a front-row spectator to his daughter and his ex having sex with each other!

As I noted with the release of my last story, I’m concentrating on the theme of incest for a while, with an eye toward eventually releasing a collection on that theme. This time around we have a divorced mother and her two teenage sons. The mother of our story is a sensible, level-headed sort who believes in going after what she wants. And when she realizes that what she wants is her sons, and that they want her, she sensibly sets out to seduce them, one after the other.

This story features some foot-play, which was a fun new thing for me to write about. That whole scene (including the mother-son seduction aspect of it) is another idea I got from a reader. In this case it was purportedly a true story, which is very nice to think about...

iBooks!

My books are now available in the Apple iBooks store. For various reasons this took half of forever to happen, but it’s finally a done deal. My most recent stories aren’t there yet, but most of my titles are. It looks like Apple isn’t excluding any of my stuff for censorship reasons, so hooray for that.

So if you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and you like the iBooks reader rather than the Kindle/Nook/Stanza/etc. apps for your handheld, you can now purchase and read my books that way.

Given that iPhone and iPad users have always had those reasonably convenient alternatives for reading my stuff, this is more exciting news for me than it is for my existing readers. The iBooks store should become a significant revenue stream for me, as we money-grubbing business types say. (Or maybe it won’t; the vagaries of this business are legion, and beyond my ken.)

No, it has nothing to do with the 80s TV show. Like my previous story, the subject is incest, and this time the incest (as well as the sex) is explicit, so this title won’t be found on Amazon’s Kindle store. (As always, a Kindle version of the eBook is available via the Smashwords link.)

I thought it would be fun to do a series of incest stories with an eye toward bringing them together in a themed collection some time. So I may stick with the topic for a while. If incest isn’t your thing, don’t worry; I’ll still be putting out stories on other topics.

This story features a happy and healthy teenaged couple who happen to be brother and sister. Their parents have given their blessing to their children’s sexual relationship (and enjoy voyeuristically listening to their love-making every night), but their mother is having second thoughts. Can incest ever really be healthy, she wonders? So the siblings and their father hatch a little scheme to show the mother just how healthy and natural and enjoyable incest can feel when you experience it first hand...

A fun aspect of writing this story was playing on the notion of sexual language: descriptions of sex, talking about sex as a form of sex, talking about sex as a means of seduction, listening to the vocalized sounds of sex... It’s all about the ear as an erogenous organ.

The theme here is a popular favorite: mother-son incest. But it’s handled in an oblique, teasing, will-they-or-won’t-they manner that allowed the story to slip past Amazon’s Fun Police censors. (nyuck-nyuck).

The story follows teenage couple Cliff and Evelyn, whose active sex life is supported by Cliff’s liberal-minded mother Pamela. When the horny and mischievous Evelyn realizes that her boyfriend’s mother has lustful feelings for her son, she seizes the opportunity to tantalize and entice the woman, becoming “the go-between” in a unique three-way relationship. Her teasing antics with Pamela include bringing little “gifts” from the son to the mother, which leads to a yummy lesbian snowballing scene, among other naughty things. I’ve gone back to my roots with this piece – those “roots” being flat-out, hardcore subject matter, written in a lighthearted tone. And by hardcore I mean: Hard. Core. This one has animal sex in it, folks, so don’t bother looking for it on Amazon.* As you might guess from the title and cover pic, there’s pregnant sex as well as animals in this one. Here’s an excerpt from the product description:

An interesting point about this story is that I got the idea of mixing pregnant sex with animal sex from a fan. A simple idea, but a good one, and it hadn’t occurred to me until he mentioned it. OMG Paper!

The fifteenth century strikes again! I’ve expanded beyond the realm of ebooks and released “The Collected ‘Greene Shorts’ Volume 3” as a paperback.

I did this once before with TCGSV1, but that was just before Amazon.com’s censorship crackdown, and they promptly banned my book shortly after I’d released it. Since TCGSV3 contains all Amazon-approved (but still wickedly naughty!) stories, I shouldn’t have that problem this time around.

One of the tricky things about writing erotica is making all the wild sex scenes seem realistic. In most of my stories, I just concentrate on having my characters act and talk the way real people would, assuming that real people got themselves into the intensely sexual situations I describe. But sometimes I want my characters to do things (or have things happen to them) that are just wildly, crazily unlikely in the real world. So the puzzle is how to write scenes like that without the story becoming so unrealistic that it’s just silly. This story is my playful response to that conundrum; it has scenes that are flat-out fantasy, but which take place within a completely realistic story.

How do I do it? You’ll have to read the story to find out. :-)

Meta-story aside, for an idea of the sorts of action in this piece, here’s a description adapted from the blurb on my website:
With kinky sex and playful narrative, the relationship between teacher and pupil gets steamy in the three connected tales that make up this “Greene Shorts” short story. First, high school teacher Ann Jeffreys finds herself being caned on her bare bottom by her headmaster--in front of a classroom full of students! Then Ann and a male pupil get up to more spanking play in her office. A new story, “Swallowing,” is available. A sequel to the highly popular “Liquid Fetish,” this story rejoins Donna Harris on her endless quest for the gooey white nectar that only a man can give her.

Partly because I’m a mushy romantic at heart, and partly because that’s just what had to happen with these characters and their situation. It’s a fun, hot story with a touch of tenderness, and I’m quite pleased with it.

New Collection: Four “Banned on Amazon” Stories

The Collected “Greene Shorts” Volume 2 is now available, but not on Amazon. As noted in an earlier blog post, Amazon instituted a new censorship policy in December of 2010. Since then (because the Amazon Kindle store is where most of my income comes from), I’ve been staying away from topics that (apparently, sometimes) get books banned from Amazon. However, the timing of Amazon’s censorship crackdown left me with a few stories that were: A) banned from Amazon and B) not a part of any collection. Since customers have shown they like collections, I decided to remedy that situation by releasing this small volume and writing an all-new story for it.

Because I’m only collecting together these “left behind” stories, TCGS#2 has just four stories (TCGS#1 had seven). The stories are:
• “Aunt Frisky” - Not yet banned on Amazon, but I don’t know why not*
• “Straight-laced Sister” - Banned on Amazon
• “Doggy-Sitting” - Banned on Amazon
• “Mindy And Her Mom” - This story is new and available only in this collection. A sequel to “Mindy’s Family” (also banned), this story has lots of raunchy incest action that would most likely get it banned from Amazon if I were to try to publish it there.

My plan is for the next Collected “Greene Shorts” to have seven stories, all of them “Amazon safe” so I can sell it in the Kindle store.

Up For Grabs 2

Up For Grabs 2 is a new anthology from Circlet Press. Circlet Press publishes fantasy and science fiction erotica, and I think this anthology stands as an excellent illustration of why SF/fantasy and erotica make an intriguing mix. Editor Lauren Burka describes the premise of the collection as follows: “What happens to sex if we let go of every assumption we have about gender and start from scratch?” The book is subtitled “None of the Above,” and the stories center around characters who, for one reason or another, can’t properly be called either male or female; they are “none of the above.”

Obviously, this sort of thing can only be addressed in the realm of speculative fiction that isn’t afraid to deal with sex, and that’s what Circlet Press does. This is thought provoking stuff, and clearly we’re talking about erotica that goes beyond being good wanking material. Which is not to say, I hasten to add, either that there’s anything wrong with good wanking material, or that the stories in this book aren’t sexy and erotically entertaining.

Anyway, I have a story in UFG2, entitled “Wer-What.” In her introduction, editor Lauren Burka says this about my contribution: “Esmeralda Greene provides one of the rare gems of erotic fiction--a hot story with a sense of humor in its tender heart.” If you think that makes it sound like my story is probably one of the less weighty, less thought-provoking pieces in the book, you’d be right; it is. But I think it’s a fun and interesting little story nonetheless.

Up For Grabs 2 is a terrific collection; I was quite impressed with the quality of all the stories in it, and I’m proud to have a story of mine included in such fine company.

Latest Story: “Milking Kimberly”

My story “Mother’s Milk” has always been one of my best sellers (especially after Amazon stopped selling my other best sellers), so I thought I’d do another story on the same theme. (Yes, I’m a whore; I go where the money is. :-)

This time around I mix hetero sex with the subject of a horny lactating mom. Kimberly is a nursing mother whose husband isn’t keeping her satisfied, so she sets out to seduce her best friend’s husband Lyle. Naturally, breastfeeding her baby gives her a good excuse for showing off her boobs, which gets the seduction ball rolling. The next day she shows up at Lyle’s house, and what follows is a long, steamy sex scene in which Kimberly’s tit-milk plays a prominent role.

In this story I have some fun with the classic theme of “bad girl gets her comeuppance.” A stupid and villainous woman is repeatedly abused and degraded in karmic punishment for her crimes and her dim-witted egotism, and has no end of orgasms in the process. Sort of like Gone With The Wind, only shorter and with not so much Civil War.

Latest Story: “Office Mating”

It’s been a while, but just in time for the new year, a new short story is available. As you’ll see, there are no wild kinks in this one; the story is something of an experiment to see how well a story on strictly “Amazon-safe” topics can sell. Of course Amazon is still refusing to tell authors which topics are safe, so I’m just guessing. Hopefully extramarital sex in a parking garage (and a little bit of under-boobage on the cover) won’t have the Amazon censors clutching at their chests in horror as they reach for the “kill” button.

Thoughts on the (non) evils of erotica

Some of the discussion around Amazon’s venture into the censorship business has reminded me that there are still people in the world who don’t understand erotica.

It’s simple really: Erotica is sexual fantasy. And in this context, the word “fantasy” does not necessarily equate to “something that is desired in real life.”

But before I continue with that line of thought, I’ll back up a bit.

Lots of people are squicked out by various “extreme” topics that appear in the erotica titles that Amazon has recently banned (and in hundreds, perhaps thousands of other titles that they continue to carry, but don’t get me started on that). There’s nothing wrong with being repelled by certain subject matter. There are certainly lots of topics that cause me to put on an “Ew!” face. There’s no rule in my book that says that in order to be a healthy and rational person you should be able to gaze at everything short of real-world harm to real-world creatures without wanting to look at something else.

The problem is that many people feel a need to rationalize their squicked-out reaction. For them, it’s not enough to say, “I don’t enjoy this stuff.” They have to say: “this stuff is bad. Only bad people would want it, and it does harm to society by encouraging those bad people to do bad things.” The first clause of the latter sentence is obviously false, and the second has been refuted by scientific research.

“Only bad people want this stuff.” Obviously false. Nancy Friday’s books on sexual fantasies (dating back to the 1970s), along with a great deal of other research, has debunked this myth. A lot of healthy, fully functional, wouldn’t-hurt-a-fly people get sexually excited by some pretty “out there” sexual fantasies. The point that I made above bears repeating: These fantasies are not fantasies in the sense of “something I wish would happen in real life.” Lots of women get off on fantasies of being raped; these women do not want to be raped. Lots of people’s sexual fantasies involve giving or receiving various forms of pain and/or degradation; these people don’t want to give or receive real pain and degradation. And lots of people enjoy sexual fantasies (and scenes in erotica) that, if they were to participate in or observe in real life, they would find horrific, or objectionable, or a turn-off, or embarrassing, or just uninteresting. It’s a simple fact of life that for many people, sexual fantasies are just like that.

(As a side note, yes, some people enjoy role-playing games where pain, degradation, rape, etc. are “acted out.” But the word “acted” is key. The “victim” has control. The “pain and degradation” are sought out and desired and welcomed and enjoyed, and therefore a very, very different animal from what those things are when they’re inflicted in the non-role-playing real world. But this is an aside; it’s by no means the case that people with outré fantasies also enjoy role-playing sexual play.)

“It does harm in the world by encouraging people to do bad things.” This would be a valid argument, except for the fact that it isn’t. Many, many studies have been done on this issue, and no link between enjoyment of erotica/pornography* and harmful behavior has been found. There is a considerable body of scientific literature on this subject, and I encourage interested readers to study it for themselves.

* Some people like to make a distinction between “pornography” (evil) and “erotica” (not evil, maybe even good). Dr. Alfred Kinsey once defined a nymphomaniac as “someone who has more sex than you do.” I offer you Esmeralda Greene’s corresponding definition of pornography: “Pornography is erotica that you disapprove of.”
