This work presents the results of a survey of Bulgarian migrants living in Coventry and their immigration experiences, in terms of the lessons that can be learnt for future social care policy. The survey, conducted via interviews with five Bulgarian immigrants, was aimed at exploring their attitudes to various experiences. In addition to the survey, a Literature Review is presented which discusses the academic work undertaken on this subject, highlighting important and relevant points from this research. Noam Chomsky put forward this idea that there is a universal grammar common to all languages of the word, where every speaker has innate knowledge of the grammatical structure that makes up their language. The question of whether military intervention is ever justified is one of the most important and fundamental questions that philosophers and scholars have had to attempt to answer. In this investigation we will examine whether military intervention can ever be justified and we will answer this question in three distinct sections. In the first section we will focus upon just war theory and analyse how military intervention can be justified according to this theory. Here we will examine both of the fundamental tenets of just war theory, Jus ad bellum and Jus in bello. In the second section we will examine the argument that humanitarian intervention is justified and in the third and final section we will offer examples of recent humanitarian interventions to illustrate the argument. We will conclude that it is possible to justify military intervention, but only if a certain number of strict and inviolable conditions are met.
